Jeff was very knowledgeable about diesels. Had a small leak and he diagnosed it in 2 minutes, sent me on my way and said pay me when you have actual service. Honest mechanic that knows their stuff. I have gladly recommended him. read more

We have taken our bus to Jeffs a few times now and I can say when he fixes it, it stays fixed. He is a very easy going guy and he will give you the straight scoop. Not dirty either. No grease marks. He is an expert in Diesel engines too. Very accommodating. read more

IQ Autoworks - Auto Repair Near Me - Campbell, California

Great place to get your car fixed. I brought in my 2003 Range Rover, it had some stability issues (wobbles left and rigth) and engine light warnings. Jeff diagnosed the problem and quoted me $850 to get the steering angle sensor fixed and to re calibrate the air suspensions. Jeff had the car for two weeks but that's only because his scanner to reprogram the car wasn't working. He didn't make any excuses, he told me his system was down and was just waiting to get it fixed so he can work on my car. While I waited he was fast to reply and always gave me an update every time I messaged him. I picked up the car this Saturday and it runs great. The shop is straight to the point and very honest. I will definitely come back to this shop. Getty read more

My car needed a significant amount of work. It had a coolant leak, oil leaks and a list of other problems. Mark, Jeff and Carlos have been very helpful and professional. I was able to get my car towed to their shop and not worry if the the work they said was being done was "actually" being done. They are very honest as to what the mechanical issues are and the price is reasonable. I would recommend this shop to anyone. read more

My new go to diesel mechanics. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and they get the job done. Great service!

I had a small fender bender with my vehicle and was referred to jeff shop for repair. Before having my vehicle towed to Jeff's shop, Inspected the damage, and came to the conclusion that it needed a tie rod, intercooler, front bumper and a fender, and the vehicle did not have any check engine light, turned on, and would drive, but it was slight tire wobble. I had my car towed to IG Autoworks and I didn't hear back from them for almost a year. I was concerned as to why I did not receive a quote or any kind of contact from IQ Autoworks. I decided to give them a call and inquire about my vehicle, and was connected to Jeff, the owner of the shop. I explained that I had a vehicle towed to his shop and that I had never received a quote, and that It has been about a year without receiving any kind of communication from IQ Autoworks. Jeff stated that the contact information must have gotten misplaced or that the tow company possibly had forgotten to attach it to the invoice And that the vehicle had not been worked on.. I expressed that because it has been a year and I Had not been quoted, that I would much rather just have the vehicle towed to my residence and that I would do the repairs myself, that the vehicle only needed a few parts that could be ordered online or found at a partslot. He offered to give me a quote on what the repairs would cost to have it done at his shop, And I informed him that if it was going to cost more then two or three thousand that I would just do the repairs myself. He said to give him a day to look at the car and be able to produce me a rough quote on the repair. A few days passed and I did not receive a response from IQ Autoworks, and chose to give them another call. my call was transfered to jeff and was able to speak with him, was quoted 7500 for a whole brand new front end. which i felt was outragiously overpriced for an intercooler and a tie rod. I declined, and had a tow truck pick the vehicle up. when the tow truck dropped my vehicle off I was shocked, the whole front end was unbolted, the radiator had been removed the connector cut off instead of disconnected, the megatronic power suplly relay missing, the power distribution unit or Fusible liknks where burnt out, amd a different oil filter was on my car then what the car had when it was sent there. and to make matters worse all of the bolts where in onie bucket. read more

wow.... what a week About 8 months ago I got an apology letter from Jeff. He had just seen the review and had no idea I was so upset, and offered to do whatever was in his power to make things right. He sounded sincere so I kept the offer in the back of my mind... Last week my clutch master cylinder went out while I was visiting a friend.. and Jeffs shop happened to be 2 minutes away.. I was hesitant but I guess it was meant to be. I called him up and right away he came to the rescue. He took time out of his lunch and came to my friends to see the car, in the pouring rain, and offered to have it towed to his shop (free of charge). After a couple days it was fixed up and running perfect. Labor alone could've been 200-300 but it was on the house, and one of the parts was a bit of a headache to find, so extra props for that.. It feels great to be able to get over our bit of miscommunication, and give a 5 star rating because I know he's an excellent mechanic. Thank you for helping me out in a tight spot Jeff... God bless! read more

I was referred to IQ from another customer. Gentleman named Jeff mans the front counter and performs repairs himself when he can. Looks like he has 3 helpers, some are real mechanics, some learning. I explained my problem, even showed him in the car. He said he'd have a quote for me by the end of the day. He didn't get back, so I paid him a visit the next day. He said he was busy and looked it, said he'd be there past 10:PM and would call with a quote, but it might be late at night. He didn't call until the next afternoon. I gave him the okay to start work. He said he'd have the car done the next day. Actually it took him 3 days because he was so busy with his other jobs. I picked up the car in the evening and found the job wasn't done right, so I brought it back the next day. He worked the car himself to finish the job. One of his staff had made the mistake on my car. While I was there he was instructing different worker as to what he wanted done, that worker kept coming back and asking the same questions, Jeff had to repeat himself three times. I have to admit he has patients with his employees. So here's the REAL SCOOP: Jeff is a good guy, he's smart and friendly and a hard worker, but he can get overloaded with work. Being overwhelmed, he puts in 14-16 hour days, really! Unfortunately, he is like many auto shops and tends to misquote his time and effort. I know he hopes to get something done in a certain amount of time, but he was way off. Fortunately I'd rather get it back correct and don't worry so much about time, but other customers may not have an extra car like I do. This price quote was off too (kind of). He quoted a price, but mentioned that sometimes things might take longer or other problems crop up. So his final bill was justifiably about 30% higher. So, I'm "satisfied" with his work and his personal sincerity, and I will certainly CONSIDER going back. But I wonder about some of his help, and being as busy as he sometimes gets, he doesn't check his helpers work as well as he should. read more

Jeff and his crew are the only mechanics I will ever use here in the bay. My car was breaking down constantly and costing me money. After IQ worked on it it has been driving 30000+ miles with no issues. Don't be upset if Jeff and his workers find that more is broken than you anticipated. They are very thorough. read more

I first went to Land Rover dealership on Stevens Creek, they made a wrong diagnosis and quoted me $1,200+ for this "unknown" problem. I found this shop and brought my Range Rover here. The guys spent quite some time with my car, but found multiple issues, not one with my AC system. At first I though they are "pulling my leg", but they demonstrated all of the problems to me in person, while the car was taken apart, so it was hard not to believe it. In the end - they completely fixed all of my AC problems for almost half of what dealership quoted me. Works as new now! Jeff and his team are very stubborn fellas (in a good way), that will get the job done! Will definitely come back here if I need an auto service in the future. Thanks a lot! read more

I wanted to update my review since going to Jeff's new location IQ Autoworks in Campbell. I would continue to recommend his shop. His team does quality work with integrity. Had them install front shocks on my Saab, replace a coolant bypass valve and also a cabin air filter - all jobs that are a PITA for a DIY'er and the dealership would charge and arm and a leg for. Go bring your car to IQ Autoworks! read more

Jeff is a total pro. Straight shooter, no bs, total honesty. Not greedy. Respectful of your options. Super competent, tightly-run shop. Had my car towed there at noon with a broken starter and they had it fixed by 5pm. I checked around, their pricing was more than fair. Jeff owns the place, is young, responsible, aggressive in getting things done, but calm and not rushed at all. He oversees and works with his crew closely. The other gentleman I talked to on the phone was just as good to work with as Jeff was. It's a pretty good-sized shop. They can handle stuff over there differently than small shops can in terms of workload and getting things done. You know what you're getting with these guys, they're not going to give you the kind of crap you get (and I've gotten) from other mechanics who seem to be pretty decent and reliable, but then start to "see things different" than you as the work goes on. My friend Nick referred me to them and HIS family owns a shop as well - that says something (his shop was slammed and couldn't get to my car for a week). I'm glad he did, would not hesitate to come back here if I had a tricky issue with a car that needed a high level of competence, troubleshooting, and advanced work that I don't want to trust a random one-man shop with. They will oversee it and do it right without giving you the poor guidance and business management aspect of it. That's as nice for advanced jobs as simple ones. Thank you Jeff, much appreciate - I can't wait to come back next time I need the A-team on the job. -- Michael. read more

Jeff @ IQ Autoworks is an amazing mechanic! If you're looking for the following then this place is for you: 1. Dependable 2. Responsive 3. Quality work 4. Great Pricing! 5. FAST SERVICE :D What's best about Jeff is he's fair - he's not looking to rip people off or to have them fix things that aren't broken. I've been going to him for years and a bunch of my friends use his services as well. As a women it's really important to work with a mechanic who's willing to take the time to explain what's going on with my car - and he definitely does that. A++++ Service and highly recommend IQ Autoworks! read more

Should have written this long ago, but I am SO glad we found out about Jeff & IQ Autoworks via Yelp because now I will never have to look for another mechanic again! Jeff has been taking care of my 2002 BMW X5 since we got it and I can honestly say that he's the best mechanic that I've ever been to. The car still runs great, despite its age, and I know that IQ Autoworks is a big reason as to why that's true. The IQ Autoworks team is thorough, honest and friendly. They never use complicated jargon to confuse you -- in fact, I feel like I learn more about my car every time I visit. They always make sure that you know what you're paying for AND that you're getting the best price for a part that will actually solve your car's problems. The team is truly passionate about what they do and I can't thank them enough for all their time and hard work. read more

Jeff took care to ensure I was satisfied. Delighted to update my review.

IQ Autoworks--and Jeff in particular--were awesome. They worked within our budget to figure out a solution for our banged up car that made sense for us and given the age of the car. And when an extra part needed to be ordered, Jeff went above and beyond to actually pick up the car from our house (we have a baby/toddler at home that made it hard to sit at the autobody shop), add the part, and drive it back. We couldn't say more positive things about Jeff or the work. read more

I took my car in a week ago for something that turned out to be trivial but had prevented me from driving my car at dusk/night. Jeff, asked a two questions, walked me to my car and point out the cause. No pretense of ' leave it behind let's check your car out' and charge for labour or other erroneous fees! I felt silly but gladly so, because I learned something new about my car, and Jeff was honest in his dealings with me. So glad we discovered his shop and use his services! !!! read more

The owner Jeff...really nice guy...totally honest, very thorough. I didn't end up getting my car worked on because of the lack of funds but when I do, I will definitely come back! I had to pay for the inspection which would've been waived if I had the service done but Jeff was nice enough to offer a credit if & when I decide to come back to have my car repaired! I ended up paying a gentleman by the name of Moe to have my car detailed in and out for a great price. .which made it all worth while! I'll definitely come here again! Thanks guys....you ROCK! read more

All the work Jeff put into getting my mustang working again was far more and faster than even Ford could have done. Believe me I checked. I've been a customer with this establishment for about 6 months and I am very pleased with the service and quality they provide for my life and car. As soon as I drive up to the parking lot and got out of my car I was greeted nicely by one of their mechanics. They brought me into the lobby and asked how they can help. I don't know anything about cars so I just told them to take a look at my brakes because they were squeaky. They were very knowledgeable and told me that I needed to have them changed and gave me an estimate to what the cost and labor would be. As I waited for the staff they offered me water or coffee. They also pointed to some reading material to keep myself occupied. I didn't stay there too long because I got picked up while they worked on the car. IQ let me know that the job would take about 3 hrs and advised that I should get a ride. They called me back in about 2.5hrs and told me that my car would be ready for pick up in the next 30min. I love when car places are timely about their estimates!! I noticed the difference in an instant because the brake pads were changed, and my car no longer squeaked. The owner, Jeff, was really nice and gave me a quote that was reasonable compared to competitors. I recently took my car there for Service A- for a Mercedes Benz, and they were extremely quick and their hospitality is great! I will definitely return to iQ Autoworks if my car needs ANY service. I will also recommend to my family and friends. read more

IQ bailed me out of a stripped oil plug at Speedee Oil Change and pointed out how nasty the shocks were on my daughter's PT cruiser. I feel much better about her driving the car now. They had very short notice on a Saturday and I was really expecting to get the "You can bring it in on Monday" response. Instead they told me they would have everything done by the time they closed. I noticed they closed at 2:00 and asked if they really had enough time. The response was "We will close when your car is done". That's real customer service and they just got another customer because of it. Thanks again for making a very stressful start to my day better. Jim read more

I will always come back here for service on my car. my jeep cherokee had a problem of stalling while i was driving until it finally wouldnt start all together. there were a few different things the symptoms point to but i didnt want to attempt to figure it out myself and end up being wrong so i brought my jeep to fleet tech to be diagnosed and repaired. jeff is a great guy. he found the problem and presented options honestly. i didnt feel pressured to make any decisions at all. the repair was done quickly and thoroughly at an affordable price. this is definitely an 'every mans' repairman. id be more than happy to keep supporting fleet tech. read more

Let me start by saying I don't know the first thing about cars, which is why I don't mind paying the people who do - especially these guys. They're straight to the point, honest to a fault and they never ever mind explaining things. I'm typically the one who brings in the delivery cars for our family business and I've been to several other mechanics who typically treat me like a helpless little girl and then keep the car forever with no direct explanation of the of the charges, and no apologies for their awful people skills. Not these guys, Jeff and John, I believe - are great guys who actually know what they're doing and don't waste your time or their space by keeping your car any longer than they have to. read more

5 Years with Jeff and his crew! We have stuck with this guy through moves to and a bigger shop then moving to new really big shop in Campbell. Hands down Jeff is the smartest, most honest, hardworking and knowledgeable mechanic I have ever met. These guys are straight shooters, fair no BS and good solid mechanics. they are never trying to sell you some service you don't need. But they will stay ahead of your maintenance and suggest what may be coming up for you to consider. Always Fair on price and take the time to explain to you your options to get your car back on the road. I almost hate to share IQ and Jeff because it might means longer wait to get my car back I'm sure he will just get a bigger shop or a second location. BTW Both of my cars are super complicated German engineering masterpieces (which means lots of computers and over engineering) I would get murdered at the stealership. I can only even afford to own and drive these Audi's because I know Jeff. read more

I called today about a flat tire on my car (Black Friday) and JR offered to have me send him a picture of the damage. Very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and no-nonsense. My son's BMW wouldn't pass smog and we decided it was time to sell it and get him a (new) old car. I felt I needed to get an idea of what the problem was and how much $$ we were looking at, in case I couldn't sell the car as-is. I gave this shop a call and told them my story and they told me to bring the car in and they would take a look at it for me. Jeff, understanding I wasn't ready to put money into the car just yet gave me a diagnosis and estimate range without even taking a look at the car (no charge). I gave him the error codes and explained the scenarios and what each possibility would cost. The prices he quoted seemed very reasonable. I'll be bringing the car back for the repairs if I don't sell it soon. I'll update my review after I've paid them for some work! :) read more

Do not click on the map link on the website for directions. It leads to their former location. After I was obviously in the wrong location, I called Jeff who guided me to the current location not too far away. I came in on my lunch break looking for a diagnosis and a quote for my grinding brakes - it was as I suspected, I needed to have the brake pads and rotors replaced. Jeff provided a comprehensive explanation to what was wrong and what needs to be done. He even offered me a ride back to work while he worked on my car. Unexpected expenses on your car is not the most fun thing in the world, but going to IQ Autoworks doesn't make me feel like I've been swindled and raped in the ass, like many auto repair shops can do. Their prices are fair and they know what they are doing. Very professional auto shop! read more

Fleettech is a great place to take your car. These days it is tough to find a mechanic that you can trust. Jeff (the owner) does a great job explaining the problem and presenting the solution without the slightest bit of pressure. My 2005 Nissan Xterra was having some electrical problems that other repair shops were unable to diagnose. Upon diagnosis, Jeff immediately called me to explain to me what needed to be fixed and replaced (new spark plugs and a computer module ). Jeff fixed my car the day after bringing it in. Jeff is very good at getting your car fixed as efficiently as possible. I will continue to bring my car to Fleettech and encourage others to do the same. read more

My daughter found IQ Autoworks on yelp, before they filtered reviews, and they were at the top of the list. I guess they don't have enough reviews to get back up there yet, but they deserve it! Jeff is friendly, knowledgeable and has great prices. He lets you know what you really *need* to have done, vs what can wait, and did a thorough check on my Nissan as well as on my daughter's two cars. He's busy so you should call first, but well worth using. We are recommending him to friends as well. read more
