I've never felt so appreciated at a restaurant as at Chef's Table.
The table is placed right into the kitchen. We were allowed free access to anywhere in the kitchen, we could interact with the chefs, ask questions, take pictures, ...
The menu counted 9 courses. Each dish got better and better and was accompanied by a paired wine. See my photos for details.
The waiters did a perfect job: they were professional and at the same time they could handle our jokes ;)
We booked this restaurant because we had seen a short movie of a certain dessert. In the movie there's a ball of chocolat on a plate. A sauce is poured into the plate, and the leafs of the chocolat ball fold open as a flower and thus revealing it's contents.
-- We received a beautiful selection of desserts, but not the chocolat flower ... So we asked the chef. The ched said they were not able to make the dessert at that time, but a couple of minuted later we got it anyway.
And as if the food, the atmosphere and the wine pairing wasn't enough: we got a tour through the humongous kitchens of this massive hotel.
At €70 (!) all included this is just a steal. read more
