Amazing space by the water with great views! Service was spot on and friendly! Food was fresh and with very generous portions! Traditional Portuguese seafood and our server was kind enough to let us know we were ordering too much and she was right. The seafood with rice dish is enough to feed 3-4 people and was delicious!

Amazing views! Great staff. Really tasty food. We came here for a fancy dinner and it was a great choice. With epic views of the coast line and a fantastic patio. The staff was very helpful and really attentive to our needs. The food was great! But make sure you know what you are getting / the fish can be very salty. Would absolutely come back!

Furnas Do Guincho is a wonderful seafood restaurant right on the water facing the Atlantic. The view is phenomenal. The only thing better than the view is the amazingly fresh seafood. Simply prepared, some of the very best seafood anywhere. The service is excellent.

Nice restaurant overlooking the ocean. Service was great as they are knowledgeable and make solid recommendations. Food was authentic and delicious. Prices were a bit high but not crazy. You won't go wrong eating here...

Bacalao a La vizcaina, with delicious steamed vegetables. They have every imaginable fish dish on the menu, and the quality is outstanding.

Absolutely wonderful spot for authentic Portuguese seafood meal. The server (Bernardo) was extremely accommodating to our special requests, which was made possible because of the great attitude and culture of the restaurant, his dedication to service, and a willing chef. Wonderful ocean views and very fair prices. We enjoyed a pitcher of white sangria, seafood soup, and Bacalao a La Vizcaina (which was not on the menu but we described it and the chef made it to perfection). This was definitely worth a cab drive for wonderful seafood.

We did a quick getaway to Cascais for Memorial Day Weekend. This restaurant came highly recommended to us by a friend. Since it was in our neighborhood (lucky us!) we decided to check it out. Wow, the food here was delicious! The view was amazing! The stuffed crab (my mouth watering just reminiscing) was so flavorful! The Grouper was flaky and light. Fresh seafood only needs a little salt, pepper and olive oil to bring out the flavor. We really stuffed ourselves and wish we had taken it easy because the desserts looked really good too! We were too full and just could not. Will save it for our next visit!

Went here for a business dinner. The meal started with cold cooked shrimps, which were fresh and nice to start. Then went to the oysters and clams. Both were awesomely fresh and flavorful. Went to the salt covered fish, it was amazing, so soft and tender. Great place to come.

Wow, wow and wow! Just had dinner there and it was awesome. A group of us ate there. We sat down and were given bread and a dozen or so shrimp We also split the seafood for two meal which included lobster, shrimp, clams, muscles. At the end of dinner we tried the desserts and the cheesecake was out this world.

Amazing view and extremely delicious fish meal. We had the whole fish baked in seasalt. It can to the table flaming and the waiter did a tableside opening of the salt crust, removal of skin, bones and playing in under 3 minutes. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, and the simple olive oil, garlic and herbs sauce enhanced the flavor even more. Every dish was amazing. Will definitely go back when in Portugal next trip.

    Delicious cheese as an apatizer.

We didn't make a reservation but we were lucky. You can sit outside of half inside. It can be a little cold if you sit outside. But here you have a beautiful view at the see and the sun set. Most of the staff is very friendly and speaks English or French. The restaurant is a bit expensive but the food is very good. Choose the goat cheese as an appetiser with bread. Really tasteful. A bottle of house wine costs only €10 and is really nice. I choose for the Lobster Cream. Really delicious. The carpachio was delicious as well. The chefs Gambas was not very special: Gambas with mushroom sauce and rice. The cooked bread with Lobster was ok, but you must like bread. The main course came already when we didn't finished the entrée. That's not how it must go.

They were as expected. Generally, seafood isn't cleaned by default (fish bile is not removed, shrimp is not deveined, etc.) so I had to do some cleaning but they were fresh and good too. Very salty, but you can avoid the skin to avoid the salt. Both mains came with a side. Choices were salad, boiled potatoes, or fries. Tried the salad and fries and got some rice as an additional side. Not too pricey either.

Cascais was highly recommended by the hotel concierge and an expat we met while in line at Pasteis de Belem. We decided to search for restaurants that are off the beaten path and luckily came across Melody. It was cozy and had a small outdoor dining area. The menu was pretty expansive and the portions were generous for the price. Since we've had lots of seafood during our trip so far, I asked our friendly and wonderful server for his recommendations on their beef menu. I opted for Bitoque à Melody. This was a generous portion of steak in mushroom cream sauce which was outstanding. My husband ordered Salmão Grelhado, a grilled salmon filet and baby potatoes served with garlic and garlic pepper in a light olive oil sauce. For dessert, server recommended 2 that are popular, but it didn't stand out as much as the savory items.

Needless to say, he ordered no sides. My cousin and I split a whole fish cooked Portuguese style with potatoes and some veggies. Waiter brought it whole, but deboned it and served it for us. Service was as expected from a high end restaurant. Decided to go to Belem in Lisbon for nata, so skipped dessert. Overall, if you have an important business deal, a special occasion or just want a great meal, O'Faroleiro will make it special. Cheers!

Our server was adorable and bubbly with a great sense of humor. She did get really busy though toward the end of our meal and it was a challenge to flag her down for our check. With that said, she provided exceptional service earlier. This is the kind of place you want to go to with others who love tasting a variety of dishes. I went with my family who is not into that concept, and so I had to choose just one dish that I would not be sharing, as no one else wanted to share theirs either. Some of the dishes were quite small, but mine was not! I ordered the octopus which was cooked to perfection and had a mix of potatoes and greens underneath. Would definitely order this again! It was one of the best octopus dishes I've ever had. The one thing we did share was the croquettes. They were delightful, but kind of expensive as they were 1.70Euros each and were literally one bite, but a very flavorful bite at that. I also had a few glasses of their summer sangria which I rather enjoyed. I would return here when in Cascais again, but maybe with a different group of people so that we can treat it as tapas as it should be instead of individual dishes. There's so much more I want to try from their menu!

Dishes we ordered were the octopus with Migas, the wild crispy shrimps and the Ze Povinho which is black pork cheeks slow cooked in red wine. The octopus was incredibly tender and served over potatoes that had a lot of flavor. The shrimps were 4 large (prawns not sure why they were called shrimo?) were fried but nice and juicy. The puree of the avocado and mango with the prawns was a winning combo! We were both pretty full but ate every bit of the pork beef cheeks which was served with au gratin potato that had a hint of dill in it which I was surprised I like as I'm not a huge dill fan.. The setting is beautiful, with ocean views and a dining room that embraces a classic nautical style without feeling overly themed. We started with a crab salad, which was fresh and well balanced. The prawns in particular were enormous--closer to small lobster tails than typical shrimp--and cooked perfectly. The standout dish of the meal was the Cream Seafood Cataplana. Cataplana refers to the traditional sealed copper cooking vessel used to prepare the dish. At Entragus, the seafood version is served in a rich, creamy sauce that coats the shellfish beautifully. The seafood remained tender and sweet while the sauce added a luxurious, velvety texture that brought everything together.
