For a lazy Sunday night my sisters and I decided to eat out to Ippolitos. I was very sorry for suggesting it. We arrived at 7:30 and the place was very busy. We waited about 15-20 mins for a table. I really enjoyed the rolls that came out. We ordered our food and it took quite awhile for our appetizers and side salads to come out. Like come on... how long does salad take but I looked over it because the appetizers were very yummy. Why one star? Because from the time we finished our appetizers it took us FORTY MINUTES to receive our food. Ridiculous. Never did our waiter inform us or even speak to us about why our food was taking so long. Later I find there was a large party of 40 people they said. But I believe parties like that make reservations so there should of been preparations made so every customer could eat. I could see another table across from mine also agitated. Even if the party did not make reservations I would of liked my waiter to come by and explain. By the time we got our food we were so disappointed. It was definitely not worth the wait. One or two bites and we asked for a to go box. We didn't really feel like eating anymore since we waited so long and the food was not very good. The place is cute but for service like that DEFINITELY NOT worth it. read more

Excellent service. Great food. Good prices for the amount of food. Our server Brittany E. was excellent. She was constantly checking on us. She is an asset to this restaurant. I was very surprised to see that it was only a 3 star as i had a wonderful meal. read more

I was disappointed; I think the food is overpriced for the value. I have definitely had better Italian food for less money. The rolls were hard and dry, the salad was like eating from a salad bar, and the lasagna was marginal. The restaurant was not busy during the time we went, and yet the service and food was lacking. read more

Hostess insisted on seating us at table in a busy spot near the kitchen when I asked to sit at an open booth. She said that it was reserved but no one was seated there until just as we were walking out the door. Waitress was sullen and slow. She brought me an empty cup when I asked for a to go cup, to pour my half gone tea into. When I asked for a to go box for left overs she brought out a tiny too small container and argued that it was not too small. She never offered us any refills on bread like they usually do. Quality of service was start to finish the worst I've ever seen. read more

I wanted to like this place. It is a great spot on the town center and is often busy when we drive by. Unfortunately, I was dissappointed. The rolls I saw on so many review really didn't live up to the hype. They needed more garlic/taste. The marinara was good. The items on the menu sounded wonderful and I had a hard time choosing. My dish was the Blackened Chicken Fusilli. The sauce was good but the chicken was not good. It was kind of hard and chewy. Hard to explain but just not the way good chicken should feel when you bite into it. I put most of it to the side. Hubby had an alfredo and he also complained about the chicken. The sauces were good, pretty average but not rave worthy. We both left dissappointed. We were hoping for more than what we felt was a mediocre meal. We opted for a high-top table to get seated faster but the tables were so packed together up front I had to move my chair and stick out in the aisle. I would have waited if I had known. Overall disappointed. Hopefully the pizzas and other menu items are more noteworthy. read more

Being from the Northeast it is difficult to find good, traditional Italian in Atlanta. Ipolitos is definitely a cut above the rest. Their Chicken Parmigian is real chicken rather than some frozen imitation. The ambiance is nice...definitely more casual than fine dining but a good choice if you are in the mood for Italian. read more

Empty restaurant and we were seated right next to very large group with screaming kids right beside bathroom door. Waiter even apologized. Food was just okay. Manager laughed when we complained. Happy Father's Day... I don't think so. We won't be back. read more

Local comfortable eatery. Love the free rolls. Love the atmosphere. Sometimes can be too noisy but decent food at a decent price.

I work & live in the area and frequently go this restaurant for lunch. I've seen such a decline in service and what's even available for lunch. Several weeks ago I went with my business partner who ordered a certain beef sandwich to learn they were out of the meat. Then he ordered a hamburger to learn they were out of buns. He said heck with it and didn't want to order anything, but I talked him into getting something to eat since I had already ordered. He did and they were able to accommodate him finally! The manager did visit our table with a sincere apology, but wouldn't you think he would have at least comped his lunch, which probably only cost the restaurant 5.00. Also, I ate there today with a friend who tried to order a cheese steak sandwich to learn they were out of meat (imagine that!) then he ordered a hamburger and they did have the buns this time. Service was terrible and it took 40 minutes to get a hamburger and a side salad! Asked to see the manager who never visited our table. How does a restaurant stay in business when they seem to always be out of certain items! This place has gone down hill and the food here, on average, is pretty good. I would recommend going to other places for Italian such a Rosa Mia's and Casa Nueavo. Both are excellent and the service is much better. For lunch, I'll just stick with Chick-Fil-A or Subway - both are consistent and certainly customer service oriented. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Ordered $75+ of food through DoorDash from Ippolito's. They charged me for two salads. Never received them. Called the restaurant to address this mistake. Allison the GM informed me that I would need to track down my money from DoorDash myself because they are not responsible for the mistake. Also, DoorDash has items on their menu/app that Ippolito's doesn't honor if you order them and are charged. Just my luck after a long day of chemo and trying to feed my family. Allison suggested I drive to the restaurant myself to pick up the salads. Ok. I wouldn't have used this janky service if that were possible. So disappointed in both companies. If Ippolito's does business with DD and makes the actual food, am I off for contacting the restaurant about missing items? She said I'd have to track them down for my money or my food. Wow. Thanks Allison. Also, I can reach the owner Tim on Monday..as she sped through the number to get me off the phone. I'll never prefer from here again. And I'll never use DoorDash again either. First time and you get burned. Ippolito's do better. Better Customer Service would be great addition to your training. You just lost a fan. And I plan to make plenty noise about this. Facebook, Instagram, word of mouth. Anyone looking for authentic customer service that wows you...this is not the place. Mediocre at best. But that would be a compliment. There are too many places to choose to eat at or from in your market. Good customer care and warmth are very important. You totally missed this opportunity to be great, save a guest and reel in great reviews. (Copying and pasting.) read more

My silver service was filthy and had to ask for another. The food was average Italian... nothing to write home about .

Never made it past the front door... Dropped the kids off with the grandparents after a busy day & headed out to have a late-ish dinner for our anniversary. We did our research on the internet and saw that Ippolito's did not close until 10 p.m., so we walked in the door at 9:04 p.m. The sign on the door confirmed that the Sunday hours were until 10. There were some patrons in the restaurant and at the bar, but no one at the door. After a couple of minutes of standing around at the door, a gentleman approached us and informed us that they were closed. We mentioned that we thought they were open until 10. He informed us that they would start staying open an extra hour soon, but were not open. He was polite, so that was a plus, but the moral of the story is... "If your website, signs on your doors, & list of hours on restaurant review sites all say that you are open until 10 p.m. on Sunday, you might want to be open until 10 p.m. on Sunday." We were excited to try Ippolito's, but do not have plans to return. First impressions mean a lot. Turning money away at the door is definitely a poor business practice. read more

Garlic rolls were amazing. Side of marinara with them was even better. Pasta was great as well. Service was everything to be expected. I dont have a single bad thing to say. We will definitely be returning. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant about a week ago. Rolls are delicious! Food was ok. Generic Italian food. Something you could find a another Italian chain restaurants. read more

Just got bruschetta to go! Had to be the worst I have ever had. Wow other then the service being totally unacceptable and very pricey for this dish. I had the wrong restaurant because the Mellow Mushroom down one block is where I should of ended. My family and I have been to ippolitos several times and we really liked the wait staff and the food was great;however, our trip tonight will be the last one. I don't normally write reviews, but since my family including my 19 month old are extremely sick from the food. read more

The service at this location was horrible.. First of all the place was empty so you would figure the food would come out quickly. We waited exactly 2 hours from the minute we got there until we got our salad. The food looked decent but the service was so slow that I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Complained to the manager and instead of the manager helping out or taking something off our bill like any other manager would do, she responded by saying sorry. read more

If you want pizza, in my opinion there is another place on the other side of the Town Center that is better for pizza, but this is the place to go for any other Italian food. read more

My group of 12 had dinner reservations for 6:30 on a Thursday evening. We arrived and we seated promptly. The server took our drink orders. Another server began to sporadically bring glasses of water. Our mixed drinks arrived a few minutes later. In about 30 minutes we had to ask for bread. Then, after we had been there for an hour, our dinner orders were finally taken. Our salads were brought. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. No entrees. The server said they were not ready. We asked to see the manager. The manager appeared and immediately became belligerent and condescending. He was incredibly rude. His rudeness was totally unprovoked. His excuse was that a table of 36 guests downstairs was taking all of the cooks' time. However, we saw many other tables around us who arrived after us getting their food. After waiting for 45 minutes, half of us got our meals. We were told the rest of the food would be out "in a little while." We decided to leave and asked for our checks. The checks that were brought we not correct. We again asked for the manager who came and again became very belligerent and condescending. His excuse was that it was a busy Thursday night, although there were many empty tables. We decided to leave. All of a sudden the rest of the food appeared. None of us ate our food there. This incident did not have to escalate to the point of 12 angry customers who vowed to never return. The manager's attitude was more of the issue that lost us as customers than the food not coming out in a timely manner. He definitely needs training in customer service. There are plenty of other restaurants that want our business and treat their customers well. NEVER GOING BACK TO IPPILITO'S again!!!! read more

Very good food. Located in the Town Center Park overlooks the park. The lunch special is like $6.95 come with complimentary garlic bread with good portions. Kids love their color wiring toy. Good place to bring client and family. read more

Terrible service. Our server was extremely rude and I have no idea how that is okay with a manager. Didn't even get to try the food.

I have always loved Ippolito's, however, I did not have a good experience at this location. The service was not good - my table kept looking around for our waiter to get refills, ask for our check, etc. He was not checking in on us throughout our meal. My cheese-filled manicotti was hot on the outside, but the cheese on the inside had not been heated all the way. I went back another time after this experience and ordered the gryo. This too was not warmed all the way. I wish I had better experiences here because I love this location, and typically love Ippolito's! read more

The place is very clean. The staff is friendly and the food is awesome. My wife got a pasta dish (name escapes my mind) but it was very good. Not too heavy on sauce and generous portion of meat. I got the gyro and it was really good. read more

Friday night, I've bought tickets for a 8:40 show less than two miles away, we don't live near suwanee but had heard good things about this place. We come in and are pretty promptly seated. We tell our hostess as well as our waitress we have to leave for a movie but an hour we have. our waitress, cant remember her name but really dark hair, shoulder length. takes drink orders, and food orders, I tell her up front this is our first time at ippolitios, not that i need a pat on the back, but would think it would matter to make it a good experience. Bread comes to the table, we devour it, then five minutes later she brings the sauce to go with bread??? The first batch of bread was hard, the second batch was fresh, soft and tender, this is where things go a little south. I shared a dish with my daughter, chicken cannolini with house salad, really good, I mean I would highly recommend if you do decide to eat here. Food took 45 minutes to arrive at table, in the mean time we did not see our waitress, at all, she was working other tables around ours but not a word to say hey, its been forever let me check on your food, you are in a Hurry right?! husband got a sandwich, and fries? other party a very very burnt calzone! waitress acknowledged the calzone was burnt but by now we barely have enough time to eat!! the burnt top was pulled from the cal zone, and inside was three pieces of pepperoni . No offer to comp the burnt food, or for our almost hour long wait for one pasta dish, a sandwich and one severely burnt calzone. We had to flag down the waitress to get our bill and by the end she was giving attitude. We left one one kid still hungry and one very pissed Moma! I can say, i would not give them another try, but if you do sit at the bar, and do NOT go unless you have over an hour to spend waiting. read more

I have been a big fan of Ippolito's ever since they opened in Lawrenceville years ago. I was the first customer through the front door when they moved to Suwanee Town Center. Unfortunately, the quality has declined recently over the past few months. The food is still excellent, but the service has been lacking. Yesterday I called from the car on I-285 after spending the day driving in horrible north GA and TN Interstate traffic about 30 minutes from the restaurant to place a pick up order. I was immediately put on hold for over 5 minutes before I hung up and called back. I was told the order would be ready in about 45 minutes, far beyond their previous waiting times of 20-30 minutes. To make up for the distance I had travelled while on hold I drove slowly, made a couple of unnecessary but time consuming stops, and arrived at about 35 minutes. I was told one item was ready but one was still being prepared. Little did the poor young Millennial running the pick up table know, my food was already ready and was sitting on the shelf right next to her. It took another 10 minutes for them to discover their mistake, and by that time the food was only slightly warm and had to be reheated when I arrived home. This parallels a couple of less than stellar service experiences I've had inside the restaurant. All I've seen lately are very young people, obviously inexperienced, running the restaurant. Like I said, the food is good (I do have a problem with the amount of artichokes on my pizza, especially since I pay extra for them. A few scattered leaves and such just ain't gettin' it), but the service needs a serious upgrade. Please don't make me stop coming to your place after all these years, as all I'll have left are frozen pizzas and crappy fast food delivery ones. read more

We ended up here thinking we were going to Dominick's. Yelp shows this location to be Dominicks. Once and done!! Walked in mid afternoon and only one other table had anyone at it. My wife, I and 3 kids waited at the front for about 5 minutes before a waitress wandered up. She was very loud, and showed us to a table and walked off. 5 more minutes she comes back for drink orders...keep in mind I counted 4 other waitresses, 4 kitchen staff, one bartender and one other table. After we give her our drink order I notice a sign on our table which says, "Please keep your children seated for the pleasure of our other guests". I look around and not one other table had this sign on it. Wow....and my kids are well behaved and havent moved. 10 minutes later she shows back up with our waters. Food finally comes out and is mediocre at best....more like fast food italian. I will never darken the door of Ippolitos again. Bad experience for a family tradition of a late lunch on NYE....dont waste your time or money at this place..you can do better. We will. read more

I wanted to take my wife to a somewhat upscale Italian (her favorite!) restaurant, and Carrabba's isn't open for lunch. So off to Ippolito's we went. We'll NEVER go back! The Greek salad was simply OK at best. But our entre' -- on the menu called "Francese", a chicken dish over linguini with a lemon and white wine sauce -- was close to detestable. THERE WAS NO LEMON IN THE SAUCE -- NONE WHATSOEVER. It had obviously been left out! We resorted to squeezing the lemon brought for our water over the dish. When we reported the issue to our basically inattentive waitress -- who had said this was her favorite item on the entire menu -- she said Ippolito's daytime lunch chef was not their best. She also said she was glad we had lemon to squeeze over our dish to get some idea of what it should have tasted like. No apology, no visit from the manager, no adjusting of our tab, no incentive to return. We have eaten "fast-food" Italian that was of far, far higher quality than this over-priced, poorly-prepared fare. The problem is never the problem, but how a business or vendor responds -- or in this case, doesn't respond -- is a big problem. We felt insulted when all was said and done, and we will never go back. They lost us! read more

Have tried this place many times hoping for the best but the best never delivers. Recent visit ordered a pizza. The majority of the pizza was cheese with a few pieces of lamb and a few black olives. The taste was very lacking as was the service. As if these weren't disappointing enough witnessed a patron being verbally abused by an over-served (alcohol) customer who had spat on the patio. By the time the manager arrived he (the over-served verbal abuser whom the other patron did not know) had left but the manager knew this customer had been at the bar for "some time" earlier before joining others on the patio. He wasn't the only customer who appeared "over-served" (alcohol). The others just didn't spit on the patio or verbally abuse another patron. Have doubts the manager could adequately handle an incident involving the customers they choose to "over-serve" (alcohol). Will not return here. read more
