I came here on a weekday night when I was on my way home and was craving some cheese pizza and luckily Angelo's was open! Parking was ample and the restaurant was located in a small shopping center. When I came in I saw that there were a lot of seats and tables inside. The ambiance of the place felt nice. There was one employee at the cash register and she was really friendly. So I was really in the mood for a slice or two and luckily this place sold pizza by the slice as well! I ordered two slices of cheese and one sprite to go. It took about ten minutes for the two slices to get ready and they were reasonably priced at only $2.50 a slice which was pretty good compared to other pizza joints I've been to. The cheese pizzas were really delicious! I don't know if it was because I was really hungry or it was just that good, but I'm pretty sure it was that good lol. It was our first time here: we were glad to see a neighborhood pizza place with pretty good reviews and decided to give it a shot. When we walked in, the hostess was sitting down eating. She then proceeded to walk towards us with no greeting, even after we greeted her. It took two hellos to get any words out of her: she just seemed very bothered and unimpressed to see customers. When we sat down, she grabbed two menus and just plopped them down on the table, once again with minimal words and walked away quickly. So we left. I'll be honest with you.. I had lemon pepper wings but ate them so fast I forgot to snap a picture. The wings were perfectly crispy and fresh. Angelos is a great pizza spot! They have very fresh NYC type of dough/crust. Thin NY style crust. The supreme with no mushroom and olives was very tasty. The sausage is sliced if that matters to you. Absolute best NY style pizza in Johns Creek and surrounding area. As the husband of an executive chef who makes her own sauce/dough (Neapolitan/NY style)- Angelo's is legit. Crust is what any NY style pizza must be - thin, crusty, w/ just the right 'bite'/chewiness - and Angelo's excels at this. The sauce is very good, and dressed on the pizza in the right proportion - not overpowering, but fresh tasting. Cheese is high-quality, and again we'll proportioned. On my first visit my toppings were pepperoni and onion, and nwere good quality and sliced well. My concern for Angelos is being a new restaurant is always tough, and even more so during Covid. Finally there is a top notch, and affordable, pizza place in area. Amazing Italian pizza and pasta at this restaurant. When I tried the seafood pasta recently I thought it came from a high-end Italian restaurant. The salad that came with it was fresh, and the dressing tasted homemade. Great New York style pizza! Of course i had to start with a slice of cheese only to gauge how good they are. The dough is a bit thicker and doughier than the New York pizza i like, but it was delicious and tasty nonetheless. Because its doughy, after one slice I was super full. I doubt I'd be able to eat two slices. Im definitely coming back when I have that pizza craving! read more

Five stars is based on the quality and taste of their pizza. I found out Angelo learned to craft pizza while working many years with a fine Italian restaurant. He added his art to this and created one of the best slices of pizza I have ever had. This small family has faced extreme challenges. Opening their restaurant just before covid hit. It's amazing to me they survived those years. Ambiance is a work in progress but cleanliness never suffers. If you haven't tried Angelo's food, you should! I waited until I'd eaten here twice to write my review. This place is thee bomb.com. Great NY style pizza! Best I've had in GA. The Margharita pizza is juicy... I added pepperoni and spinach. The pepperoni and sausage (sausages come sliced, not ground.. if that matters to you) pizza is good as well. I always get extra cheese on my pizza. Garlic knots are fire. The salad is fresh, crisp, chicken was grilled to perfection, and their creamy Italian dressing is delicious. That damn tomato bruschetta is FIREEEEE! The real 5 star item is their homemade marinara sauce. I could drink it... do you hear me?! I ordered like 4 cups each time, worth it. The Italian wedding soup wasn't the best I've ever had.. didn't like the choice of noodle (they were super tiny little balls).The cheese bread and mozzarella are not really worth the purchase. It's COVID time so my food was to go. The restaurant looks nice, they people are kind, if you're looking for a pizza joint... this is the one. I'll add pics whenever I go again.. I've only been here once, but arguably the best pizza I've had in this area. It will definitely beat all other "New York" style pizzerias in John's Creek. I noticed a bag of Grande cheese when I walked in which is usually a good sign. Pizza was big and crispy on the edge. read more

We had the pizza at lunch today and it was excellent. The thin chewy crust reminded me of Zupardis in New Haven CT. Salad was nice as well. The inside of this place needs some help but they just opened so it's probably a work in progress. Pizza also had a nice amount of microblistering which means the dough was fermented properly. If you like thin northeast style apizza you should give this a try. read more

1 star is a stretch. First, we both ordered garden salads but received Caesar salads but with vinaigrette dressing. I ordered the Chicken Piccata. There were so many capers it looked like peas. I've never know there to be a need for that many capers. The pasta looked like it had been sitting out for hours. Personally, I would have been embarrassed to serve this to anyone. Just got my order from Uber Eats and was really looking forward to trying a new place. Ordered a Greek salad which was pretty much romaine, lots of black olives, and balsamic dressing, I don't need anything fancy but that doesn't exactly constitute a Greek salad. I ordered a medium pizza and what i got was a personal-sized pizza with as much personality as a slab of drywall. The pizza was completely dried out. Pepperoni looked like it was fried on, cheese was as hard as the actual crust with no flavor at all. To top it all off I ordered their custard dessert which is described as "a creamy custard with a torched sugar top". The creamy part was frozen solid and the top still needed torched as it was just raw brown sugar, indicating to me that this came right out of a freezer and never made it to the prep side before leaving the station. Great food! Slow service. Hopefully they'll work out some of the service kinks over time. Also, understand that many restaurants are operating with bare bones crews in order to cut costs in the time of COVID. No matter, this is the best Italian/pizza option in our area. The pizza is phenomenal and the pasta dishes are great. We got a pizza along with the chicken parm and Marsala. The latter was out of this world. This has really become a go to spot for our family, wonderful family run place. Pizza is fantastic, thinner crust, and really good. Usually get a Greek salad with grilled chicken to go with it. Great pizza! We ordered a supreme and a few single slices for the kids. Our server kindly suggested they could make the supreme with three "custom" slices which made it perfect for our family. No one was in the restaurant. The menu was very limited for entrees. It was a lot of money for what we got. The ambiance is not very good either, it is a bit dark and creepy in the dining area. For lunch for 4 of us it was over $80 and we didn't have much wait service even though we tipped. We got our own drinks and packed our own leftovers with dirty dishes left at our table.
