That's not hospitality--it's highway robbery with a garnish. Let's talk markup. The bottle of vodka (the entire bottle) costs less than $30 retail. A single pour? Maybe $1.50 worth. Yet here I am, paying over tenfold, while the server smiles like Mammon himself wrote the menu. Actually the server was in a bad mood, so there were no smiles. I'm not against profit--Proverbs says, "The laborer is worthy of his wages." But this feels more like "Woe to those who add house to house and field to field until there is no room left." (Isaiah 5:8). In other words: greed dressed up as service. I'd love to see: * Transparent pricing * Reasonable markups * A drink menu that respects both the customer and the craft Until then, I'll be sipping water and praying for reform. For pizza, we ordered a Margherita ($16) and added sausage ($4), which turned out to be the same as the Salsiccia ($18) but without ricotta--so we ended up paying more for less. It also would have been nice if half-and-half toppings were an option. Since the restaurant wasn't busy (only two other tables and a few people at the bar), it seemed like a simple request that could have been accommodated. Instead, my daughter had to pick off ground sausage from her slices. We also tried the Tartufo, but the rosemary flavor overpowered everything and we didn't get any truffle notes. Lastly, there's an extra charge for using a credit card, which left us with a less positive impression at the end of the meal. Overall, I didn't think it was worth $61 plus tip for 2 meh pizzas and 3 meatballs. While the place has potential, the combination of portion sizes, pricing quirks, and lack of flexibility left us feeling hesitant to return. This Alpharetta location of Campania has the same great menu as their Crabapple location. The pizza here is always a winner. We love the funghi one, as well as the spice salume. I love that the calabrian chiles they use are already chopped. Other places like Antico give you whole ones. I would say the ambiance here is nicer than the Crabapple location, at least on weekend nights. They dim the lights low and it can definitely be used as a date spot. The Crabapple location tends to be more families, in my experience. We will continue to visit both locations for their terrific pizza. read more

But we kept going back. At one point, their beer taps were on the fritz and unable to provide cold beer. But we kept going back. Today, we ordered the same pizzas we have ordered for the last 8 years. They were smaller and with fewer toppings. For the first time ever, we ask to speak to a manager. We were the only customers in the restaurant and the manager came out to speak with us after ten minutes. He responded to our comments in an incredulous manner and accused us of having complained before. Which we had not. (The previous time we had seen this manager, we complemented his bar staff). We again told him that, we wanted no recompense, but the portion size/quality was different. He then accused us, loudly, of being OBNOXIOUS CUSTOMERS. We were so disappointed that, what was once was our favorite pizza restaurant, had declined to a point where the manager felt that a personal verbal assault was his only possible response. We can only hope that this review resonates with the owners because the response we received from your manager today was beyond unprofessional. Yes, after trying out at different places this Wood fired Thin Crust pizza stands out for the distinct smoky flavor it comes with and especially the house made Marinara sauce.
