This review is long overdue as this has been a family favorite for over a decade!! My family and I have been coming to Pasta Vino's for special events and birthday dinners for a long time now and it never disappoints. I most recently visited for my mother's birthday and I always love how accomodating they are of large groups (we had a few show up last minute as well and the staff was so helpful with pulling up extra tables and chairs). I've tried so many things on the menu, but our favorites have to be the Chicken Parm, Rigatoni alla Vodka (which I had this time with chicken added), Fettucine Alfredo, Penne Primavera Arrabiatta, and Penne Toscana. Everything here is so delicious and they have a pretty good wine selection/cocktail menu as well. Their tiramisu is also a can't miss!! Overall, love Pasta Vino's and plan to come here for a long time.

We had a great family dinner at Pasta Vino. It's in a large strip mall that has a ton of free parking. The ambiance is old school Italian. You start out with unlimited garlic knots, which are tasty. We tried the Mediterranean salad and the Arugula salad, and both were enjoyed. I liked the toasted pine nuts in the Arugula salad. For entrees, we ordered various items including spinach ravioli, rigatoni vodka, eggplant rolentini, and the Chicken Toscana. I ate the Toscana, which was just okay. The parmesan garlic sauce was too thin and watery. The other entrees were all great though. The tiramisu and cannoli were good dessert options. They make their own cannoli cream on-site. We had excellent service from Sam also. We will plan to come back.

Place is great! I ordered the pizza there and it is amazing and I also got the garlic bread and the spaghetti garlic oil and it's fantastic. YOU SHOULD COME HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

This review is long overdue. We visited in October (a few months ago), as we are continually on a culinary adventure to find a pasta and meat sauce that Grammy (my mom) enjoys! :) Its very rare to find a restaurant that has the flavor and noodles that she loves, and Pasta Vino succeeded! We were in the area looking for an Italian restaurant and went to Yelp to find one. We had never heard of this place, and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did. Mom had the Rigatoni bolognese and it was wonderful! I had a side salad and a piece of cheese pizza which was also very good! Took the rest of the pizza home and my teenager (pizza lover!) approved as well! The staff was so friendly (from the hostess to the waitress). Honestly can't wait to try it again when we are in the area. Note: decor is kind of bland inside, but the food makes up for it. :)

It was our first time at Restaurant One 41 in Johns Creek. It had been recommended by a…read moreknowledgeable friend and we went with another couple who had been there in the past. We were greeted warmly at the door and immediately seated. Herbert, the head waiter, knew the other couple and chatted briefly with them but seemed to ignore me when I tried to enter the conversation. Herbert's wife came to the table with fresh warm Italian bread and a dipping sauce made from fresh crushed pomodoro tomatoes, Italian seasonings, and goat cheese that was beyond reproach. We ordered cocktails while Jeff and Bambi sought out an appropriate bottle of wine. Their starter was a crispy aged provolone with vine ripened tomatoes sprinkled with oregano and black pepper. Arlee and I shared a plate of fried calamari and shrimp with fried onion strips and lemon rounds. This dish, served with two dipping sauces: a Calabrian aioli and the restaurant's pomodoro sauce was tasty and the seafood crisp. We ordered our mains. Again, the waiter turned his back when I sought to ask a question and left. Our table mates had the answer to my concern. While the noise level was high, the ambiance and conviviality of this restaurant was also high. Our table was in a corner and a little more intimate as well. Bambi ordered the Lasagna which was made with a veal based meat sauce, covered with bechamel, and baked with a coating of Mozzarella and sprinkled with Parmigiano. Likewise, Jeff ordered pasta, choosing the Gnocchi made with potatoes and covered with a four-cheese Alfredo sauce and sprinkled with toasted breadcrumbs. They loved their dishes. Arlee had the Grilled Lamb Chops that were accompanied by roasted Parmigiano potatoes, and a marinade made from olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, parsley and oregano. This sauce, called Salmoriglio, comes from Sicily. I had the 'star' of the evening; a pan-roasted veal chop with risotto made with four cheeses in a mushroom sauce and topped with quartered porcini mushrooms. The chop was done perfectly and the risotto was "to die for." I don't believe that I have had better, even in Italy. As the portions were large, we declined the dessert menu and finished the meal with varied coffees. Other than the seeming lack of professionalism on the part of Herbert, the servers and other staff members all sought to satisfy our every need. This faux pas by Herbert did little to cloud what was otherwise a marvelous experience. Would we return; definitely yes. Might I ask for another waiter; possibly. However, this high-end restaurant should be experienced. It's that good.

The handmade pasta was all very nice, but my food was just too salty and I had to send it back. Waitress was very nice to make me something else, and it was ready fairly quickly. The menu descriptions are not clear. We ordered the calamari and shrimp for our table and when it came, it was a bowl of soup. The fettucinine carbonara was really a fettucini alfredo sauce. On a good note, the best part of the meal was dessert. We had the in-house made mascarpone cheesecake with the caramel sauce. That was wonderful, and I highly recommend. The staff was very nice. The place was very busy and it had a nice ambience.

Our reservations were at 9pm, however they close at 10 (I didn't make the reservations. I would've never made reservations an hr. before close). When I tell y'all we still got great service at this late time, I was in disbelief! Our waitress, Andrea, was EXCELLENT!! She was so patient and she never let on that she was irritated by us being there so late! Also, the owner, Federico, came over and gave us a rundown on the specials and a little backstory on the restaurant, which was a nice added touch, considering the time. The food was absolutely great! I had the Pear Burrata salad. It was so tasty, but needed a little bit more dressing..but still great! I also tasted hubs shrimp scampi! DELISH!! Unlike any shrimp scampi I've ever had! He also ordered the oxtail flat bread..wait what?!! Y'all it was soo GOOD!! I had never heard of anything like this before! Please try it out if you like oxtails! Oh, I almost forgot to mention the decor of the restaurant. It's dimly lit and gives a very "romantic, intimate" vibe! Also, their health score is a 91!! Yaay!! Highly recommended!

As a foodie, I'm always excited to try new restaurants, so we decided to give this place a shot…read more Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Service: The service was just okay at best. Out of three orders, two were incorrect (both with wrong pasta that we ordered), and I had to remind the server about my cocktails when the entrées were already served. We were also celebrating a little girl's birthday, which made the experience even more disappointing. After two desserts were already brought out, I had to ask the host to bring a candle as I didn't see my server. Eventually a plate with "Happy Birthday" written on it came out, and we were told the server was "working on it," but it felt like an afterthought. The server didn't come out herself or even acknowledge the birthday, which was a letdown for a special moment. Ambience: This place is just too loud to even have a normal conversation. It's not the music that's the issue -- it's the space. The restaurant feels very small and overcrowded, with tables packed too closely together. With that many people in such a tight space, the noise level becomes overwhelming. Because of that, I definitely wouldn't recommend this place for date nights or any occasion where you actually want to talk and enjoy the moment. Food: Overall, the service felt inattentive and the food didn't stand out enough to make up for it. With so many great Italian restaurants out there, this one just didn't leave a reason for us to return.

It's a pretty small…read moreplace, but comfortable spacing, atmosphere was very good, and staff were all very friendly and attentive. We ordered the calamari and bruschetta for appetizers and we were asked if we wanted the free garlic knots (BIG MISTAKE) The calamari were good especially because my husband and son prefer the rings and the whole plate were rings. My mother had never had them before (we didn't tell her what they were) and she also thoroughly enjoyed them. The bruschetta was ok; it was very different than I'm used to because it had tiny mozzarella balls in it, which were nice, but seriously lacked garlic and the tomatoes were blah. The thing I like about the most were the slices of bread around the bruschetta because they were soft and crunchy in all the right places. Those garlic knots on the other hand are trouble ...the dough was so fresh and had so much flavor, I ate 2 of them and couldn't really eat my entree, but they were incredibly worth every bite! For our entrees I ordered penne alla vodka (I wish the made it with rigatoni. I thought it was ok. It seems too thick and not as good as I've had elsewhere, but maybe I was too full already because my husband thought it was very good. My husband had eggplant Parmesan which was a very nice portion and cooked perfectly. My mother had a cheese calzone which was probably the biggest and nicest cook on one I've ever seen and she really enjoyed it. My son had sausage and peppers and he really like it even though he doesn't generally like red sauce, but the sauce that came with garlic knots and calamari was all the same, and he loved it. The only thing he wasn't thrilled with was the sausage were all sliced. We all expected to have whole links, but they were thinly sliced longways. I wouldn't say I'm in a hurry to go back, but I would again and maybe get one of those calzones for myself or try pizza .

Warm greeting, friendly, incredibly efficient and didn't mind answering my questions at all. (complimentary but we love to tip for great efficient service right guys?) Immediately upon entry i was warmly greeted by Vicky and Destiny. I'd already decided on bar seating and they were more than happy to show me the way to get settled. The bar was a fantastic choice, Avery, Cam and Alex crushed it! From maintaining the flow of the restaurants beverages to their lone bar guest with lots of questions (me lol), they handled everything to perfection while giving stellar recommendations. Their menu knowledge both beverage and bar is impressive. Kudos in that regard for sure. My goodness, i should've gotten the chefs name because every single bite was impeccable. The buratta bruschetta and tagliatelle are unlike any I've had before anywhere else! By the time i was stuffed full i still had leftovers which they graciously boxed for me, i wasn't leaving it at all lol. Kudos to the beverage director as well, the spring cocktails are on the money! I tried the Collette Spritz, Tramanto Sour and Old Corpse reviver. Of the 3, the spritz is surprisingly my favorite. I'm not a beer gal and sometimes don't enjoy Aperol but every ingredient blended well. Try it, trust me, Avery and Cam, those were some of their suggestions!
