Il Bottegone - Cappuccino and biscotti - Italian Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

Small sandwiches for $20 bucks each. Didn't know paninis were to be fried - maybe I am uneducated. Cute lil' shop. VERY questionable interaction with the dark-haired young lady working the register, who was very friendly to the 1st time visitors that came after me. No explaining menus and minimum, snarky interactions with me (yo this my 1st time too) that I have felt out of ordinary to feel in 2026 especially from another minority, while the people that came after me were bombarded with full entourage support with Britannia Encyclopedia-level explanations and greetings. Seeing other reviews below, my accusation is somewhat gaining weight. I usually raise a question to be clear and to stay loud, but just had to get that conviction, and I did. If this is how you operate your business, I don't care if you bake your own stuff and import todos de Italia. You need to train your staffs better. read more

Fresh baked focaccia, thin-cut manchego, peppery arugula, delicious sauces, a hint of guava paste, and that perfect tomato tanginess... this sandwich was an instant I'm-coming-back-for-this moment And the fact that it comes with a handful of chips instead of fries? Exactly how I like my sandwiches served This cute authentic café/store in Halcyon is serving some seriously flavorful paninis that make the perfect lunch spot. Pair them with one of their flavored sodas, grab a seat outdoors, and you've got yourself the sweetest little lunch date Already planning my next visit for the pastas and desserts because they looked too good to skip. If you haven't tried this hidden gem at Halcyon yet... you're definitely missing out read more

I saw someone reviewing this restaurant online and based on how much they raved about it, I had to try it being so close by. Ordered the Amore Mio which was what was recommended and although the menu items are not cheap, it was absolutely delicious!!! The panini is so big, we ended up splitting it. We opted for the garlic olio since my bf doesn't care for tortufolio and sun dried tomatoes as opposed to regular tomatoes. Pesto, burrata, all the meats, oh my yum!! The flavors are amazing. The only complaint from my bfs side was the prosciutto was stringier than he'd want, but he didn't spare a single bite so that says it all to me. I do like that the paninis are served with chips instead of fries or anything. Don't get me wrong, I love fries, but definitely prefer chips with a panini. Salivating just thinking about going back to try more of the menu! read more

Great Italian place, with a market to boot! The sandwiches are expensive, but they're also huge. Can't say enough good things about the owner and his family. Quaint, while not too small. You'll see. read more

Found the best sandwich of my life while traveling for work. Here in the little town of Alpharetta GA (outside of Atlanta) is a small Italian grocery store that is also offering a menu of about 20 options that will blow your damn socks off. The women working there are as authentic as they come, and they deliver simple but absolutely beautiful focaccia sandwiches. I tried two during my recent stay: The Amore Mio - Burrata cheese, prosciutto, salami, spanish chorizo, mortadella, artisanal pesto sauce, sundried tomato & arugula The Roma - Brie cheese, pepper jam, prosciutto, soppressata, salame calabrese, fresh tomato & arugula Each of these were served on toasted focaccia with your choice of flavored olive oils. Truly magnificent. They were a bit pricy ($15-$20 per sandwich), but they don't skimp on the high quality ingredients. Can't wait to come back and try more. read more

Great options here, their tres leches cake is my absolute favorite. For the sandwiches and for the price I kinda expect more filling in them but they are of quality. It's a great option for a quick bite read more

The food is amazing! Fresh and delicious! I felt like I was back in Brooklyn. Thanks!

This place is awesome. Family run. Came for coffee and cannoli, all well made. Maybe the best macchiato in Atlanta.

They have the best sandwiches and the best cannolis! It's a great place for lunch or dinner. Love the people that work there too! The best sandwich's are number 3 and 13. read more

I really wanted to enjoy this spot for the sandwiches they have and because I heard the owners were Latino and I wanted to support my own people. However, on both occassions I've gone, I've been completely ignored. I never complain, but being a woman who frequents businesses alone often, I don't understand why I only run into this treatment when I'm out alone. I am a courteous, well mannered person and I take pride in that. I was simply stared at after saying hello, meanwhile the other 4 men that walked in after me were immediately acknowledged. I also find that there was zero patience for explaining to me how ordering works. Just treated me like some dumb girl...it just felt like the whole interaction, they were annoyed with my social anxiety. It's a $20 sandwich. I wanted to make sure I ordered correctly. And when I'm checking out, the cashier is making...quite prejudiced comments about other communities. I wouldn't have bought anything if he had said those things before I paid. It affirmed every uncomfortable feeling I had throughout the experience. I hate to be the only person that seems to have an issue with a place everyone loves, but I guess I'll be the bearer of bad news. You have biases that clearly affect the way you do business and how you treat certain customers. All customers deserve dignity and respect. Please do better. read more

Wow!!! "Little Shop" more like Little Treasure!!! This European market is like a little piece of Italy! So different from anything in the area. We stepped in and immediately loved the decor and feel! Fresh Basil growing in the front... Greenery hanging from the ceiling... Enough variety of goods to be interesting but not so much as to overwhelm! And then you walk back to the little eatery... Coffee Paninis Carpaccio Salads Pastries Salumi Boards There are many things made fresh and a few in the freezer to grab and go! I highly recommend trying something and then sit and enjoy it on their little patio! We tried the Manzo Carpaccio and it was DELICIOUS! Everything was fresh, the basil sauce was SO yummy! We definitely will be back so we can try the others. read more

My family and I love coming here for delicious fresh food. The sandwiches remind me of the top notch hole in the wall Italian delis in New York. Tonight I tried their weekly pasta, the vodka sauce was deliciously cheesy and salty. The pasta was cooked a perfect al dente. My wife loved her fresh focaccia sandwich with delicious creamy burrata, greens, oils and meats. The owner is proud and provides great service. The patio is a great hang and a nice walk around the halcyon makes a nice night. read more

I got the salmon panini with a lemon olive oil and it was honestly one of the best things I have ever eaten. It works so well together and would be perfect as a brunch sandwich or for dinner. I always get a lox and cream cheese bagel at joints and this was 100 times better! My boyfriend got fettuccine Alfredo with pesto added and I tried a few bites.. it was also great. It's a adorable shop with lots of Italian goods plus has indoor and outside eating. Can't wait to go back and try more! read more

Do not skip over these cannolis because W O W! The most authentic cannolis we have ever had. Owned and operated by a sweet Italian man. He was so personable and had a great conversation with us - everything is imported straight from Italy. The Prosecco we tried tasted so different as well! One of few Italian stores I've seen in Georgia As a store, it's small but has some great offerings from oils, olives, pasta, and snacks We picked up a bottle of truffle oil for $18 & a jar of Calabrian peppers whole for ~$14 The cashier talked us into checking out the cafe in back which has a ton more stuff from paninis, cheese boards, pastries and coffee. The meats/cheeses for the boards & sandwiches looked delicious. Prices in halcyon are high imo but seems normal for the area. $15 for a panini Boards were $30+ We ordered a cannoli but you can't just get one and fyi toppings are extra. Prices not posted but an espresso + 2 cannolis with toppings came out to ~$11 The cannolis are great! Tiny but mighty.. worth the price. Espresso is not freshly ground but is made from a pod and was more bitter than anticipated. Probably would not do that one again The pastries looked delicious, as well. Plenty of parking in halcyon to get here & staff were all super helpful Worth a trip read more

Exquisite paninis! It was difficult to choose what to select. We will definitely go again when in the area.

Their paninis are fantastic! I got the Padua (in picture) and the Adriatico panini. I loved that we got the choice of which olive oil goes on the sandwich. I got the garlic olive oil and my wife got the lemon one. Their cappuccino was delicious and tasted just like the cappuccinos we had in Italy! We also enjoyed their tiramisu, which was just big enough for us to share. Definitely coming back and trying more good stuff there! Il Bottegone is a cute little Italian shop selling imported goods, baked goods, and paninis. We bought some Italian sodas which were amazing! The Almond Croissant & Cannolis were to die for. Cannolis come in packs of 2 and are on the small side which is great if you want a treat and do not want to un-do your entire day if you've been trying to eat better - hello 2023 resolutions! That said, the cannolis were probably some of the best I have had outside of Italy! I got them with the chocolate chips on the end for an up-charge of 0.50 cents per pair. You can also order them plain or with pistachios. We had just come from butcher and brew for lunch so we did not try the paninis, but I cannot wait to return so we can try them. Everyone that worked there was so kind and attentive. We were offered an explanation of the store which we appreciated. Truly cannot wait to be back! read more
