This has been my local package store for more than 10 years. It's not a fancy place but the customer service is good and the selection of beer and spirits is excellent -- including a large selection of craft beer and a good variety of whiskeys from the U.S. and Scotland. It's not a wine specialty store, but Red's has a selection of wine that includes high-end wines and will satisfy any customer who isn't looking for $100-plus bottles. Good selection of mixers as well. Great location. read more

These people don't even notice their customers at all and they don't ever have inventory like other stores do I tried this place 2 times and it wasn't a good experience and some dude with a really bad tan is not for the customers he just there for his appearance not actually working. read more

Red's reminds me of the package store my Dad patronized at the "county line" in Texas. We lived in a dry county, so Pop had to drive a few miles to buy Scotch. (Dad didn't drink often...but his pours were of mythical size.) Red's is as the corner of DeVore and Alpharetta Hwy. Better look both ways before entering and exiting the parking lot, 'cuz you can get your block knocked off from three-way traffic if you don't. They have a nifty little promo called the Red's Bag, a handled red bag that holds six bottles of wine. 5% off of a filled Red's Bag. Red's has a modest but respectable selection of wine. (I've noticed that most of the patrons are liquor buyers.) The store carries my go-to wine, Red Diamond Merlot. A few words about Merlot. Merlot fell from favor roughly a nano-second after the debut of the romantic dramedy "Sideways", starring Paul Giamatti. Giamatti's character makes a pronouncement against Merlot during the film, and ever since, a disguise is required to buy or order Merlot. I can't recall a more profound and nonsensical response to a film since Jaws kept swimmers out of country club swimming pools. My every-day, go-to wine is Red Diamond Merlot. It's going to take a dude more imposing than Giamatti to keep me away from something I like, and second, Red Diamond Merlot is--I'm going on a limb here--the most undervalued bottle of wine on the planet. At $7,99, this humble little wine drinks like a $29 bottle. Back to the theme, Red's carries Red Diamond Merlot, and they would be getting five stars IF they kept it in stock consistently. The last time I went, they were completely out. Nothing on the shelf. Nothing in stock. So I'm being a big baby and denying them the fifth (no pun intended) star. Can't believe places like this still exist that too at such a good location!! I walked in there for the first time and the guy at the register asked me what I wanted. I asked him where beer, tequila, and vodkas were and for whatever reason I only bought beer (worth over $30). The guy didn't like it and said, where is vodka and tequila, and whether were they only talks when I asked him where they were. I think it was very rude of him to say something like that. Besides that, it was just an average liquor store where you can get most of the usual stuff. Anyway, I am never going back for sure. read more

Terrible customer service. I just moved up to the alpharetta area from Florida. I walked in grabbed what I needed and the disrespectful gentlemen looked at my ID for 2 seconds and threw it down on the counter and said he would not accept my ID. He continued to tell me I am not a day over 18 and sent me out the door. I have never dealt with such rude employees and horrible customer service in my life. Do not waste your time going to this place and I recommend taking your business elsewhere. These people need to learn how to read a license because this is completely unprofessional. read more

The clerk said they didn't have what I was looking for so I asked if he knows where I could get it and the smartass said, "I know where but I'm not going to tell you because that's out competitor." Me and my wife don't know diddly about Rum, except for the fact that we needed some for a mixed drink. She went in there and the clerk was very helpful, explaining to her the differences, pros/cons with all of the varieties of Rum. She returned with a nice mid priced bottle that's currently rocking some delicious mixed concoction. read more

It doesn't look very large from the parking lot, but you will find what you need, unless you are looking for ethanol obscurities. Very helpful staff, which might be necessary, as the bottles are really packed into this store. My lady didn't know that the place has a drive-through window, although she's been here in the past. I can see how it is possible to miss that, because the drive-through isn't near either the front door or the check-out register. Traffic, as is typical for anything, anywhere in or near Atlanta, is crazy. read more

I Just went here yesterday, saw the previous reviews, but honestly, they could not have been sweeter. They greeted me when I walked in, walked me to my items and even gave me a sample tonic water knowing I was making a special cocktail and only needed a splash. I will go back to this esatablishment but only to prove a point. I am 26 year old female who has lived in the alpharetta community my entire life. My parents have been shopping at reds since before I could drink. Last night while trying to buy my usual Friday night bevergae at a store I've been too and shopped out countless times. I was kicked out last night because my id was "fake as fuck" according to the manger. He belittled me and made me feel like a child so much that I left the store in tears. I even had my debit card with the same name as my ID said and he still refused to serve me because i am a 4'9 young looking female. If you look young and want to be embarassed and ridiculed go to reds or carry your passport with you at all times. The managers behavior was absolutely unacceptable. read more

Went in here last night and the worker wouldn't accept my California ID. He then accused me of being under age (I'm 27 years old). I even asked about using my passport and was told flat out no. Then as I was leaving the worker told me to get a Georgia ID. Rude. read more

I am only taking the time to write this review because they have have very poor reviews by some others -- and I can't believe it! I have been buying at this store for years and have never had a bad experience. The people there are great. The prices are great -- and you get 10/% off if you buy a case or more of wine. They take the time to place reviews and scores by many of the wines so you can find wine in the low 90's for less than $13. The beer selection is great. The location is great and you can get in and out without getting stuck in traffic. read more

They fucking suck. The old man at the counter checked me out right, didn't ID me or shit. When I leave I noticed he jipped me $10, I went back in and this man had the fucking audacity I act like he didn't know that I was just there 5 mins ago. Not to mention he never gave me a receipt either. Went full Alzheimer's mode on me and I was left looking like a lier. I called the next day didn't get in hold with the manager cause he "just left" so I call the next day and he still "just left." I called the NEXT day and I tell the assistant manager or who ever the fuck the situation and she makes the excuse that this man had a "senior moment" ????? Ok ya i don't know what kind of liquor store their running with people having senior moments with folks money but it's not alright. I just recently moved here from out of state and very new to the area. I discovered Reds and started going there pretty frequently since my move. However, tonight will be the last time I ever set foot at this establishment again. I went to the drive thru (which I normally do) and I asked for my beverage and handed the gentleman my ID. He looks at it front to back and hands it back and very rudely tells me he's not going to sell me any alcohol. Dumbfounded I ask him why and he proceeds to tell me they don't serve alcohol to out of state residents... Wtf.. Since when has this been a rule?? The gentleman was rude and non apologetic.
