I live closer to another homebrew store in Atlanta, but drive extra to go to this place. It's so superior to any other homebrew store I have ever been in. The store itself isn't too big, but it has an excellent selection. It's the biggest selection of beer kits I've ever seen. They have all the equipment you could ever want, and the best part is they list their inventory and prices online. Everything I have had is top quality and the prices are very good as well. The biggest reason I go here is the workers are so nice and helpful. I don't know what I am really doing. I do everything from kits where it has step by step directions. I need that, and every time I get something here they are really good about ensuring that I know exactly how to use whatever I am buying. I feel like other stores I have done to can get so high nosed. They don't want to help people that does kits. They look down on people like that and make you feel dumb for asking questions. That is not true here. They make everyone feel good and happy about what they want to do and it just makes the whole process more enjoyable. I like beer a lot. Back in 2011, I received a home brew kit for Father's day. After brewing that first batch (which I had to dump), I needed supplies for the next batch so I sought out a local home brew store and found Brew Depot. As a beginning brewer, the brewing process seemed very complicated and overwhelming, but the thought of making beer (alcohol!!!) at home seemed like an interesting hobby. The folks at Brew Depot helped to take some of the mystery out of the brewing process. At a minimum you need four basic ingredients: barley, hops, yeast, and water. Fast forward to now and 130+ batches later... I've been shopping here for many years now. I get all of my brewing supplies here. The owner, Bob, is a very knowledgeable brewer and beer judge. So he can even help diagnose any brewing issues you may have! Most, if not all, of the staff are homebrewers themselves and can help you get started with a beer or wine kit or putting together an all grain recipe from scratch (which is how I brew). Great products and people at this shop. They usually have what you need and if not they will offer substitutes if available. Co2 fills while you wait are great too. If you call or email your order in ahead of time then they will have it all out together for you to pick up. They seem to get regular deliveries so special orders typically seem to take just a few days if I'm looking for something specific that is out of stock. read more

This is a great place for all your Keg and home brew supplies. I was in recently with my new single tap Kegerator tower that I wanted to covert to double tap. The tower was 2.5 inches in diameter, apparently the commercial grade towers are 3 inches. He explained a double tap tower could not be ordered, but he explained what they could do - which is the 2nd tap underneath with the "picnic style" leaver dispenser nozzel. I agreed to the design and within minutes they whipped out the parts - keg coupler, hoses, nozzel, clamps, etc. and converted me to a double tap right in front of me. They also sold me a draft line cleaner and threw in a bottle of cleaning solution. These guys are just fantastic to deal with. Also and most importantly these guys refill CO2 tanks, most places exchange. So if you have a nice shiny new aluminum bottle, you definitely want to refill as opposed to exchanging. Lastly these guys have everything you need for home brewing. read more

Brew Depot may be the best homebrew shop in the metro area. I have another shop closer to me (by far) but I drive 25 miles to go to this one. The staff know their stuff, and the selection of equipment and ingredients is tops. They are a retailer for Spike equipment so if you are on the fence, you can come in and get hands on with it. Helped me pull the trigger on a CF-10 conical recently. They refill rather than exchange your CO2 tanks and do so quickly and for the best price around. read more

I've only been here to have the CO2 cylinder for our kegerator filled, but they do it quickly and cheaply ($14.98). They're stocked with beer and wine-making supplies. They even have a few cheese-making kits. While I was waiting this time, a gentleman was being helped with a home-brew recipe. When they didn't have the exact yeast that the recipe called for, the staff was able to suggest another one that would be suitable for the kind of beer that the guy was intending to make. Can't believe I did not write about this place before. Great Beer making supplies and very knowledgeable staff. Whether you are making a 24 beer batch or multi-keg batch these guys can help you get everything you need to get started. They also have classes and show you how to get your beer just right. The initial cost is high but after your first few batches you will see the reward and the beer comes out to about $0.17 a bottle. They also have Wine making supplies if you want to try your hand at that. Beer or wine this is a fun hobby. read more

Currently my go-to source for all my home-brewing needs. Their selection of things is hard to beat, from hops to grains, from thermometers to adjuncts, you name it, they have it. They also have a huge selection of wine-brewing stuff, which I've never needed. The staff is very friendly, and they are good about getting my grain bills ground and put together in a reasonable amount of time. Prices seem a little high, but that's the price of convenience I guess. I like them. read more

After being quoted $220 for a mash tun at other brew suppliers, Brew Depot offered to set us up with one for $90 if we brought the cooler. The owner is helpful and extraordinarily knowledgeable, and he has plenty of awards to prove it. It's a trek for us, but this is our go to place for brew supply. read more

The only place I buy supplies will be here from now on even though there are places closer to me in Sugar Hill. They got me started with my first batch I brewed and have helped me along the way as I have transitioned to all grain. They've never been out of an ingredient when I've gone there. The owner has always been onsite when I go in. Not that it matters, but it's nice as he's extremely knowledgable. He gave a better idea for the freezer I just converted into a kegerator. Saved me a huge potential mess and it made it look a hell of a lot better. So thank you! You know it's the best place when they are the drop off site for the home brew competition. read more

Really impressive place. Everyone was quite nice & informative. As a newby, I was a bit apprehensive going in to get my co2 tank filled. I left feeling good & surprised by the bit of advise I was given. Rather than treat me like a low purchase customer (it cost ~15$), they not only made me feel comfortable looking around (They have a lot of good stuff), they pointed out some tricks to help me. Went there to get my 2.5 lb c02 tank refilled and cost about 12 bucks and I only had to wait 5 minutes. The store has a good selection of hardware, in the future if I need some beer hardware I'll shop here. The only downside if any is the selection of grains, malts, etc.. it just seems subpar compared to what you can buy online. read more

I only needed a 5oz bag of priming sugar, and only had a debit card pay with. The guy behind the counter was just going to let me have the priming sugar($1.02 cost) because they had a minimum of a $5 dollar purchase if using a card. This is what I call customer service. read more
