I really wish there were more Total Wine stores around the city. I am in Lawrenceville and have to drive to Alpharetta for the closest store. I do like that I can shop online and then pickup from the store later. I wish that they would ship more than just non-alcohol items. I am able to order alcohol from other liquor stores and get it shipped to my home, so not really sure what the issue is there. Total Wine has great prices and they are always prompt with notifications when the order is ready for pickup. They are also great about bringing the items to your car and checking ID to ensure you aren't only of age, but are the person noted for the order pick up. This spot is clean and very well kept. Its huge, compared to others, because they have liquor here (most only have beer and wine, only a couple have actual alcohol). And the selection is super solid. I went looking for something and they didnt have it but I was talking to the stock person and he was telling me when they stock and maybe they may have it in by that time. That was very helpful. Now let me put things in perspective, this location is about a 40-minute drive from me, but it was worth it once I got there. If the customer service is on point, I will drive across the country for good customer service. I picked up my order, loaded my car, and went back into the store to walk around to see what I was missing. Maybe I've been in the stone age, but this is the first time I've stepped foot in a Total Wine, and let me tell you, First Impressions are lasting ones... add to that THE HAVE A LOYALTY PROGAM! Just one of my favorite places! Total wine is like a candy store fir adults! If you have not been to one you have to go. They have an almost endless selection of everything! My father-in-law does not drink but likes an occasional NA beer. Total Wine has a whole section of different types that you can mix and match from. Funny enough I go in here all the time with my boyfriend, never check his id we both turned 21 this year and look like babies, yet they never check. Tonight I went in with my friend i personally wasn't buying anything yet they wouldn't sell to her because I did not have my id on me. Pretty weird I pulled up a picture of my id from my my doctors office portal still wouldn't sell. So please make it make sense you will gladly sell to people without checking any for of an id but then the next day stick to it even when the person isn't buying any kind of alcohol. For a store of its size, finding help from an individual once you are in the store can sometimes be close to impossible. Of course they have a solid selection, although the more high-end/rare and sought after Bourbons can be very difficult to find here... And even if you ask, to be put on a list and contacted once one of your favorites arrives this is something that they have yet to allow anyone to do that I am aware of. Poor customer service, while waiting in a long line a register opened up and instead of asking for and looking in the eye of the next person in line they just took whoever would come up to their line while I've been waiting for five minutes that happened twice today. The managers should train the cashiers to tap the person on the shoulder who's next in line and have them follow them like they do at the grocery store. If I could give a zero I would do that because I am so upset with this store. I have been calling every week for months to get a 10 year Jack Daniel's and today they said it was in stock so I immediately went to the store to purchase. I ran into someone as I walked in, which turned out to be one of the managers, and he said they were still unloading off the truck so I would have to wait. I went back to the Whiskey section and talked to the employee in that section and he said it was all already sold. The manager came back and explained it sells fast, they have limited quantity, and they do not hold anything so even though they told me it was there it was gone by the time I got there. I get all of that - but them lying is what makes me upset. The manager said look at all of the people in the store and it just sold out....well it is hard for it to sell off the shelf when it is still being unloaded off the truck! Furthermore, the whiskey guy was holding tags for the bottles waiting for them to come off the truck. Since they do not hold I should have asked where the customers were that were buying it because they clearly were not in that section. What I expect is they are helping some friends versus customers that have spent thousands of dollars at their store. I am done with them - no trust - and I cannot stand liars. I put in a pic of my bar and I also have two wine refrigerators that are full - probably 10 cases of wine in total. All bought from Total Wine....that is my last trip to their store because I am not going to support a store where people lie and fail to support customers. read more

I bought a bottle of wine for $199 and when opening it the cork broke. It was undrinkable. It was definitely incorrectly stored at the store. When I went to the store the manager said: "there is nothing I can do". Unbelievable for me. Such poor customer service and very disappointing. They didn't even offer me a small store credit.
