My brother and nephew are in town and they looked this spot up for lunch, so we came by today…read more Plenty of parking, right off exit 16 on 400. We sat upstairs with a group of ladies playing mah jong which was cool to see. The host Gabby was nice, after greeting us we were seated in a booth and began looking at the menu. Our server was Taylor, who was friendly, helpful, and really good at her job. Never needed anything bc she was great! I started with one of their blackberry ciders, my brother got a sour. For an app we ordered a giant pretzel and it was delicious. Whole grain mustard and gooey cheese were served on the side. Hard not to want to eat more than one. For entrees I went with a Reuben with a side of tater tots. The Reuben was tasty, they shred the corned beef up so it's easier to eat, and you get consistent bites every time. Their 1000 island dressing is KILLER. It's definitely homemade and I ordered a side for my tots. Nephew got the salmon BLT with sweet potato fries, and my brother got the Philly cheesesteak with tots as well. Once he tried my suggestion of dipping in the dressing, he got a side as well. The GM Andrew came by and checked on us. Service level is great here, made us feel welcome and happy we were in here. Since I'm technically on the clock I had to head out after two ciders. I could see myself being here for hours, if I'm not careful. Support small owned businesses! Thanks to the team and especially Taylor for a great lunch today/

They do not brew their own beer (aka no beer flights) so not sure why they are called a brewery. This felt more like a restaurant. There were tons of seats, and it was very nice! The outdoor seating is downstairs (no elevator). The drink menu needs descriptions, not just names. The drinks we did have were great (strong & not overpriced). The old-fashioned had regular ice not the large square or ball ice like most old-fashioned. We did send the fish & chips back because the fish wasn't crispy. It was soggy & fishy. We did enjoy the house chips and atmosphere. We would give them another try.

The food is authentic and delicious and the beer is imported from Germany, served in steins, and ice cold. The gulaschensuppe was absolutely to die for--I've not had soup like since I visited Austria. The schnitzel was delicious and perfectly cooked and the rotkohl was wonderful. We finished with the strudel, which, again, tasted as it was made in Salzburg. It was authentic and spectacular.

Gasthause Tirol is an authentic German and Austrian restaurant. One look at the menu confirms it. Known for traditional German dishes like schnitzel, bratwurst, strudel and an actual Bier Garten with a nice selection of German beers on tap After perusing all the delicious looking menu items I went the Sample Plate. A Trio of tasty meats. Winer Schnitzel, Sauerbraten and Debrezina sausage some veggies and potato dumplings. What a tasty meal and the gravy was exceptional. The tall cold and very smooth Hacker Pschorr Dunkel was a delicious dark beer to complement the meal. All the desserts are homemade and I couldn't decide between the Apple Strudel and the mysterious Black Forest cake. The sever said the Black Forest was her favorite so I went with it. It surpassed all expectations. So moist and the whip cream was just heavenly. I was there for lunch but they do take reservations which is highly recommended for peak times.

Our table slanted down a bit, and that was a little awkward but the benefit was that condensation rolled to the end instead of into our laps. Also my chair had two metal dog bowls underneath that made a racket whenever I moved the chair. Our server was friendly but over shared often. For my meal I had the salmon with bourbon glaze. It was cooked properly and had good flavor. The lettuce leaf under it was different; I think I could have done without. The fish came with my choice of two sides and I picked the green beans and the cornbread stuffing. Both were quite salty. The green beans were not very green and overcooked. There were two elbow macaroni mixed in. The cornbread was mushy and covered in gravy. It tasted fine, I just would have preferred more texture. Both beers were very good. I had a sour to start that was like a very tart pink lemonade. The pink color came from blueberries but I'm not sure I detected any blueberry flavor. My second beer was That Coconut Porter and it was mellow and smooth with good coconut flavor and nice dark color. There was lots of street parking and many shops and restaurants in the area. A band began playing in the taproom next to the restaurant at some time. Also a large outdoor space that was full of kids running around playing as I was going home. Looked like a fun place for everyone.
