Il Bottegone is a cute little Italian shop selling imported goods, baked goods, and paninis. We bought some Italian sodas which were amazing! The Almond Croissant & Cannolis were to die for. Cannolis come in packs of 2 and are on the small side which is great if you want a treat and do not want to un-do your entire day if you've been trying to eat better - hello 2023 resolutions! That said, the cannolis were probably some of the best I have had outside of Italy! I got them with the chocolate chips on the end for an up-charge of 0.50 cents per pair. You can also order them plain or with pistachios. We had just come from butcher and brew for lunch so we did not try the paninis, but I cannot wait to return so we can try them. Everyone that worked there was so kind and attentive. We were offered an explanation of the store which we appreciated. Truly cannot wait to be back! read more

Word of mouth is a wonderful thing and the reason we wandered into this sandwich shop on a Sunday afternoon. The Amore Mio, stuffed full of burrata cheese, all the best meats and slathered in a pesto sauce, was hands down the best sandwich I've had in a good long while. Nice added touch, you get to choose the olive oil drizzle - spicy and garlic choices among others. The owner and his wife are hands on, so you feel good supporting their new business; added bonus, an exceptional meal. Win-win. Would like to work my way through this menu! read more

This place is as Italian authentic as you can get! I got a cappuccino and a #1 sandwich which was really good--all quality, fresh ingredients and the bread is amazing. My boyfriend got the caprese salad and the # 3 sandwich which he highly recommends... you have to go here! They have a cute store inside the place where you can get authentic Italian goods too! This place is the best!!! I've been coming here at least once a month since its opening and I'm always craving an amore mio panini. If you get this or any other panini you HAVE To get the red pepper jam on it too. It's not too spicy, but has a perfect mixture of spicy and sweet. This place has the best Italian food I've ever had, their pastas, paninis, deserts, and market is outstanding. Don't even mention how great the service is, they gave us free cannolis! Owner met us at the door and was so helpful. You can tell his passion for his fresh products. I have celiac and they were so accommodating to make mine on a plate so I could put it in my own gf bread. The market has lots of great offerings as well! Lovely authentic Italian sandwich counter and market. We had the Amore Mio and the Genovese, which were both excellent. The bread was homemade, the ingredients flavorful and fresh. Should've gotten a picture but forgot because I was too busy digging in. Service was wonderful and friendly. Definitely a to-go oriented spot with only a couple tables. Still, if you're looking for lunch in Halcyon, this place is hard to beat! read more

All I can say is WOW!! This place is absolutely incredible! Their paninis/sandwiches are by far the best I've ever had and everything is made fresh to order. We've come multiple times and tried different paninis and their weekly pastas and have never had a bad meal. On top of that, it's family owned and everyone who works there is so kind. Lots of different feelings on this place. A super cute shop. Interesting selection. We purchased a few items including a sandwich, a baguette, 2 cappuccinos, a pound of prosciutto, almond croissant, a jar of peppers and jar of crushed tomatoes. The bill was $150. My biggest issue was they charged $50/lb for the prosciutto which is crazy to me. I have bought prosciutto at Dekalbs farmers market, East 48 street and several other little boutiques throughout the metro Atlanta area. The quality is a lot better for half the cost. The baguette was not good either, very chewy. The croissant was pretty good. The cappuccinos were also overpriced and a bit bitter. The sandwich we got was delicious as was the focaccia. But also $20 for a sandwich and some chips, also seemed excessive. It was an ok experience but not very happy considering the value. Granted I was dumb for not asking the price of the prosciutto, but it reminded me of BH prosciutto. I will stick to E 48th street. read more

i've been to this store a couple times now, but my most recent visit demanded a review. I don't know if this is a seasonal item or not, but the passion fruit tiramisu from here is one of the best desserts i think i've ever had. The owner is delightful and the sandwiches were delicious. They were very patient with me because I brought my courteous almost 2 year old daughter in with me. There could be more coffee selections, such as iced coffee. More variety in the coffee department would be great. It is pricey. It was nearly $16 for a caprese sandwich with no meat or seafood.
