Love this store! They have a great selection of Indian food and groceries as well as fruits/vegetables/sweets. I love stopping by by for kulfi! The people are super sweet but it does get crowded, so if you are in a rush make sure to not go at peak times!

This is our go-to Indian grocery store because it has everything we need and is one of a kind in the area. Variety: From fresh produce to frozen snacks/meals to all sorts of lentils, Cherians carries almost all of the groceries we need that we don't get from the usual American stores. Generally, we don't have any issues with the shelf life of the items we buy from here and the prices aren't extremely inflated or unaffordable. Extras: There are regular bags of Lay's chips near the cash register, some basic groceries such at tomatoes, a few Indian sweets and snacks served at the front, and occasionally fresh sugar cane juice near the entrance. Environment: It gets extremely crowded in the store, especially on weekends. In particular, it is difficult to maneuver the cart around the groceries, other shoppers, and the helpers that are replenishing shelf items throughout the day. The crowded environment makes it difficult to pick out each grocery without rush, but people are generally attentive to make space. It is clean enough to feel comfortable buying groceries, but not a place where you would want to eat off the floor. Service: People aren't welcoming you and attending to your every need, but checkout is generally smooth. It is obvious that people on the floor work very hard to replenish items, but they do speak Spanish and are only the go-to people to help find some products, not all. Parking: There is a lot of its own for the store and parking isn't usually a problem.

A busy busy Indian grocery store. Everything you need under one roof. Fruits, veggies, etc for a fraction of big store prices. Small aisles so be ready to maneuver quite often. Everyone pretty much minds their own business. There is a fresh sugar cane/ coconut juice man at the front of the store. He is very popular. The reason I'm taking off a star is because you DO have to watch the checkout process. The cashier I had tried THREE times to charge me incorrectly. But nuh uh, not this gal. The next time I went in the manager pulled me out of line and rang me up himself. That was nice! This grocery store is conveniently located next to other Indian stores: eating and shopping.

Duck eggs $1 dollar each ... I believe this are jumbo chicken eggs ....

I went yesterday and .... Cashier super rude ... Purchase a whole coconut when I came home open the coconut and it was rotten !!!! With fungus inside . I got 5 duck eggs $1 dollar each .. The duck eggs suppose have the dark orange egg yolk .... I believe what I got was a jumbo chicken eggs .. Really bad bad experience

The hearty chicken, vegetable soup made with turnips from Cherians.  Delicious!

SCORE!! It has been a while since I last visited Cherians but I was craving cashews so I stopped by. Cherians is a small Indian store located just north of Walmart on Peachtree Parkway. I enjoy just browsing the store to see what's new and today I was pleased that the store is better organized and is now stocking additional items like brown rice and a more varied selection of fruit. Their herbs, dill and cilantro always look very fresh and the prices for their produce are always very reasonable. Today as I am perusing the aisles, I notice the turnips and decide to purchase several. I love turnips as a potato substitute because of their smooth texture and close resemblance. My husband has been "bad-mouthing" turnips for a while but I don't think that he has ever tasted one. I decided that soup would be a great way to showcase them because of the complexity of flavors and spices that make everything delicious. The spicy chicken vegetable soup with a southwestern accent, was a big hit. My husband absolutely loved the soup and the turnips! Score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like I will be heading back to Cherians for more turnips because he really wants me to make more soup. This store is a bit small but they have a great bean, spice and nut selection that is second to none. I like just being able to select random items to try and it is always fun to take a risk and discover something new and delicious. They have a number of packaged and frozen items so if you want to try something different for dinner, the options are available. ***This is a great place to purchase over-ripe bananas for smoothies or baking.

THE PERFECT "GO TO" OPTION!…read more Finding lunch in Cumming is always a challenge because there just isn't enough variety. After driving around for a while, I decide that we should just find an Ingles. They have a cute eat-in cafe and I knew that I could get a warm bowl of soup on this cold and rainy day. We find this convenient store just minutes East of 400 and go in for lunch. I decide to get a couple of chicken wings and a bowl of chicken and noodle soup. My husband decides on a salad and two chicken strips. My soup was a very generous serving of chicken with pasta noodles. It was hot, hearty and delicious. The full size chicken wings were perfect. My husband's salad appeared to be super fresh and his chicken strips were very nice, not greasy or salty, just fresh. For dessert we decided on the always fresh and delicious donuts. They were so good that we purchased a box to go for the family. No matter what time they are purchased, they are always fresh. We really enjoyed our very casual lunch and Ingles will always be an option for a quick and easy lunch on the go. ***In addition to their hot food bar, you can always get a custom made sandwich with Boar's Head cheese. The soup and salad bar is a favorite while the bakery never disappoints! ***You can pay for your lunch right in the deli department where the employees are super nice and helpful. ***They always have bottled beverages and water chilling on ice next to the salad bar. I love this courtesy!

Many people in the area recognize him instantly--he looks like Santa Claus and was a familiar, friendly presence to customers for years. After more than a decade of loyalty, and just one month before becoming eligible for retirement benefits, a new manager, Richard Dunn, terminated his employment for what can only be described as a trivial and unnecessary reason. My father is 67 years old and never shied away from hard work. In a short period of time, my dad lost his wife to cancer and his mother the year before. Despite everything, he continued showing up and doing his job. Firing him two weeks before Christmas and weeks before his retirement benefits vested demonstrates a shocking lack of compassion and respect. This decision reflects extremely poorly on the management at this location. I will personally be boycotting this store and encouraging others to do the same. I cannot support a business that allows leadership to treat long-term, elderly employees in such a callous manner. Kroger, you can and should do better.
