My last experience here (a few weeks ago), I stood at the deli counter for about three minutes waiting for the deli person to finish what she was doing (not helping a customer) and then I called out. She came over and started scolding me, telling me she did not have to come to help a customer until they called out because how is she to know a customer needs help. I don't know, maybe standing there looking at the deli employee is a clue? Next stop-seafood. I asked for a pound and a half of shrimp. I said I would be right back as I went to find the cocktail sauce. I came back and the shrimp bag was open on the scale, showing two pounds of shrimp-no seafood counter guy. I had to wait two minutes here to get my shrimp. Last stop-check out. Bag "boy" stood in front of my cart as I tried to leave so he could converse with me about the news. If I am going to have my time wasted I will use it to drive to Publix, Aldi's and Costco. read more

Favorite Kroger to date! I am a frequent Kroger shopper and have been to numerous stores all over Georgia. This by far, is the best one I have ever been to! It's a fairly new store. Everything is clean and organized. Parking it plentiful and has never been an issue, even during busy days/holidays. It has so much to offer. In addition to the typical grocery store items and sections, they also offer the following: Gas station Wine and Beer section Hot Bar Salad Bar Starbucks Clothing department Beauty department 2-3 Self-checkout stations Scan, Bag, and Go Kroger Pickup (Clicklist) Everything about this store is big. The produce section is big, the deli is big, the clothing department is big, the beauty department is big. You get the idea. The store layout is functional and has a nice flow. Again, everything is organized. Shelves are well stocked and have a wide selection of items. The produce is fresh. The best part, the excellent customer service! Every member I have encountered has been very friendly and helpful. Some of them even go out of their way to help and make you feel welcome. So glad that this Kroger is close to me! read more

Five years ago when I first moved to coming, this Kroger was fantastic. It's not fantastic anymore. There's trash all over the parking lot, their stocking items during the middle of the day during the week, and nobody knows anything when you ask them. They don't even have a decent bakery anymore. We actually like shopping at the big store. This Kroger is no exception. It has everything you need or want. The store is arranged in easy to find departments. We eased our way from the very start looking at a fantastic array of cheeses. Saw colorful settings and displays at the fruits and produce section. Picked the Mandarins and saw the cart with unsold, over ripped bananas. A Yong lady informs that these bananas are discounted for fast sale at 49cents a BUNCH. Naturally, I picked two of the best bunches. After having picked up some more items, we got in line at self checkout. We first got some issues with scanning and Kroger coupons. A very helpful lady attendant helped us out. Bananas are next. Ooopsie, we got to weigh them and the price is 49cents per LB. Not what was told us earlier. So we need help deleting the bananas. The lady attendant Chk 515 was the best of Kroger you can find. Understood fully and apologized for the misap. I think that this Kroger is a wonderful store full of all the grocery and pharmacy needs. Just go about it a little slower and pay attention to price points. I remember when customer service used to be a thing. It would be great for Kroger's to teach these kids a thing or two about customer service. But, instead they hang out at the check stands. Chit chatting and watching their cell phones. More and more self check out lanes ... because it is too unimaginable to have staff work. So, instead ... I work all day. Go to the grocery store to walk isle after isle pick up groceries to unload at self check out, when I scan each item and then bag and reload into my cart to be loaded into my car. All the while the staff is sitting around watching, chit chatting and scanning their cell phones. Then we wonder what's wrong with our youth today. Why don't they know or understand about customer service? Why don't they want to work a real job? No. They want to get paid for doing absolutely nothing and Kroger's is enabling them. Teaching them to just stand around and let the customers do all the work. Ridiculous. I'm not old, but I'm old enough to remember what customer service looks like and you won't find it here. read more

Hello! Let me be the first to review the brand new Kroger on Bethelview! This location officially opened on 6/27/18, hubby and I checked it out today and were very impressed! Lots of employees buzzing around, lots of management there helping customers, the store was squeaky clean, very organized, and well stocked. It's a big Kroger store, I was told by a staff member that it's the same size as the Dawsonville store. Here's just a few options the store offers: Starbucks Beer & wine (draft too I think??) Sushi bar Pizza bar Sandwich bar Meals to go Clothing (shoes, some clothing, etc) Large beauty area (lots of makeup) Grab & go - frozen entrees by the pound that you heat up when you get home. They also offer Scan, bag, go, which I was not familiar with until today when I noticed customers with scanners in their carts and I asked a customer about it. Here's what I was told: Entering the store a Kroger employee gives you a scanner, each time you scan your item it totals up your purchases and you put your items into the bags they give you (I don't think u pay for the actual bags?), then when you are done shopping you go to the self serve checkout and pay. No need for a clerk to do all the scanning, you've already done it! I asked how digital coupons worked with this and I think you can access your Kroger Plus card on the scanner and thus pull in your digital coupons. I'll have to give it a try next time. The prices were pretty good today! Got a deal on ribeyes, ribs, shrimp, etc. the guys in the meat dept were very friendly and even cut up some ribeyes for me. I saw some grand opening specials that required the Kroger Ap, so I downloaded that but got stuck on adding my Kroger Plus card, I stopped an employee for help, and he quickly helped me out! Nice job! They were cooking ribs outside and were giving samples - very good ribs! If this location can keep up this level of customer service, organization and freshness, we may consider doing our weekly shopping here instead of Publix! Only time will tell. Nice job Kroger! This branch of Kroger off of Hwy 20 has has started Covid Policing and have not trained their employees very well. I had my hands full and set down my coffee cup on an empty hot chickens display so that I could pick up some cheese. I was, literally, two feet away from it. I find the cheese, turn around and this store clerk is making off with my untouched coffee cup. In her UNGLOVED HANDS. I say in a friendly voice, Hey did you take that because that empty mental shelf is too hot for the cup? She says NO! angrily. "This is cross-contamination." I just look at her bare hands (she works in a grocery store, god knows where they've been) and take back my cup, deciding to take the risk that she's "cross contaminated" it and I am going to get Covid from this incident. Kroger, if you are going to train your employees to Covid Police, do it right, please. I was standing RIGHT THERE, less than 2 feet away from the cup. She could have asked me if that was my cup or even told me to pick it up before getting her potentially filthy, germ-ridden hands all over it and then sanctimoniously claiming _I_ was one one cross-contaimating. The bottom of a Starbucks coffee cup that was sealed with the stick? I strongly doubt it. Her hands... Like I said, who knows where they have been. Im not sure what happened or why they were giving her a hard time but i found it extremely weird and it made me want to leave as soon as possible. I really hope that the young man at the register doesn't have this attitude with everyone or you might lose business because of that. I know after that experience I'd rather go to the other grocery stores nearby. read more

Years ago Kroger used to be open 24 hours. Pre covid I believe tgis location was open until 1am if not I am positive at least until midnight. Now the closing time is 11:00PM & the employees are not even willing to close at 11:00PM. Instead they have started closing the doors before 11:00PM. I made it there in an Uber and got turned away but obviously I was about to blow up while pointing out the time. Finally the man in the self checkout section said go ahead but you can only get "1" thing because it's time to close. read more

OK so its a nice store, lol. Its also too big and too crowded. But what gets under my skin is the checkout situation. I cant go thru the checker lines because i always get overcharged and then have to go to the customer service desk for a refund. Happens every time; and those checkers are talkin to me, how are ya, did you find everything, and their not paying attn to what their doing and im being distracted by them. So at Kroger I go thru the self checkout. But I'm gettin burned out on that too. Today I had 30 items and the machines kept burping and I had to get the supervisor to unburp the machine. What a pain in the butt. Ya know, that never happens at walmart where i use the self checkout all the time. I was getting angry and frustrated and started to cuss. Lol. It wasnt pretty. Cause I'm a big guy at 6'3" and I can get ugly really fast. Then in the parking lot a lady stops me and asks me to help start her car. I turned into a boy scout, she was so sweet n nice. It's a nice big new Kroger and employees were nice. However, it's an attempt to be a Wegmans but without a true hot food buffet of high quality stuff and a real sit down bar restaurant ( the beer and wine bar is a gimmick, it's small and you have to stay in the bar). Overall it's a miss for me. If they would have hit the Wegmans mark then thy would have sold me. How you can carry Turkey Hill iced tea and not have the diet regular tea is beyond me. I will still be heading to Ingles for that alone. read more

Staff (mostly younger) are extremely unprofessional. Most times when I go in they never say hello nor thank you. Last time I went through the checkout line the young man cashier talked the entire time to his coworker about how he should have asked for the previous customer's phone number to ask out. I've never had such a horrible customer service experience at Kroger before today. I've been using Clicklist for years. Today I did my regular grocery order. I received a text about a half hour before my pick up time that they were running behind and to show up between 8-9pm. I arrived around 8:03pm at which point there was a line and a Clicklist rep came out and told me they were closed. I showed her the text and she said they didn't send texts (which they DO!). I asked for a manager and she laughed, the manager came out and wouldn't even speak to me. The rep then came and told me I would have to come back tomorrow and that the manager didn't care because it's her last day anyway. I called the front desk and was able to get my groceries, but not without some "Karen" coming out. It shouldn't be that way! read more

I recently moved to the Cumming area, and discovered this very cool Kroger while driving north in a moving truck! We stopped for lunch, and we dazzled! Huge store, over the top selection, extra clean, fantastic "dine in" section, and even some essential clothing, office supplies, and home goods! Been back a dozen times... all were great experiences! I happened to be in the area today and decided to visit this Kroger to get some things for work. I work in a large office where we have a break room and I was there to buy supplies for the break room. I was taking advantage of the sales they had where they give you an extra discount when you buy five or more of the same item. I got some cereal, coffee and powdered drinks. When I got to the check out lane the cashier, David, was extremely rude to me right away. I was trying to let him know that there was a Gatorade with my things that was not mine and he he kept telling me I need to wait to see if he was allowed to sell me the things in my basket. I knew the Gatorade was probably from the order in front of me and I tried again to have him ask the gentleman in front if it was his drink and he snapped back at me again telling me I had to wait for him to find out if he could take care of me or not. At this point I said I was simply trying to make sure if it was the other customer's drink that he needed to give it to him. He finally asked the gentleman if it was his and the man said yes, so David gave it to him for free at that point because he had not charged it on his bill. He apologized to the man and still had me waiting while he called 2 different managers. I asked David what the problem was because I didn't understand why he couldn't start to ring in my items, he said he had to make sure he could sell me the items I wanted because some people buy to sell at gas stations or something. At this point, I was getting a little bit annoyed that I was being singled out and he was making the people behind me wait even longer to get checked out. Finally a manager came and said that it was a lot that I was buying and asked why I was buying so much, but that she would let me get it this time since I was already there to pay. I asked if there was a limit on items because they don't have anything posted anywhere and you literally have to buy larger quantities to be able to get the special price. I said thanks and that I would not be back. David was rude to me the entire time he was ringing in my order and even rolled his eyes at me in the process. Once the manager told him it was okay to process my order, he should have apologized for the wait and tried to make the experience go smoothly from there. At no point did he even attempt to help me bag any of the groceries, and neither did any of the other workers that were standing around. I didn't realize that because I spent $300 that I would be singled out by a cashier because he didn't feel like ringing in a larger order, in other words, doing his job. I can for sure say that I will not be back to this Kroger and will make sure my friends in that area go to the Kroger down the street as well because I felt completely harassed during the entire check out experience. I have never seen a manager ask anyone else why they are buying things in their cart. They tried to make me think like I was doing something wrong by buying thigs for work. I guess I'll be heading to Publix from now on since they actually care about their customers and all of their staff is super nice. read more

LOVE the LOW prices on wines at this Kroger. It is close to where I work. They are $3-$4 LOWER / bottle than all other grocery stores. They also had some great deals on the Kroger "CASH BACK" app. Yesterday I bought 3 bottles of Chloe wines and got $6 CASH BACK in my Kroger CASH BACK account. They also had $6 CASH BACK on Michelob Ultra 24 pack. So, KROGER PAID ME $12 that I can use for future purchases - or transfer to my PayPal account for CASH. We are going to save our Kroger cash back $$$ for Christmas next year. We will have over $1,000 next year that I can transfer to my Paypal account. THANK YOU Kroger! I really do love this Kroger. It has almost anything and the staff is friendly. I've found some cute stuff in the apparel section. Murphy always greets me with a smile. She's helped me find a few things outside of her section! I was a bit lost the first couple weeks. :). The store is huge! I like the store but the pharmacy staff are horrible. I went to the drive through to drop off a script and no one came so I left. Going inside is no better.
