I have been back at least 6 times over the last year with bad salmon, expired meals , etc. The managers are lovely, but someone is NOT making good decisions around food freshness and shelf life. I really enjoy shopping at this store. The layout is nice and encourages strolling through each aisle to find something delicious and unique. The Fresh Market has a great weekly specials and quick family meals that range from $25-30 for a meal for four--sometimes including a dessert when you are a reward member. Staff is friendly and helpful. good quality and variety in the produce department. Nice seafood and meat counters. Oh and the bakery! Hands down the best grocery store chocolate chip cookies around. The prices can be high for products that I can get at a standard grocery store but the convenience is the benefit. You should check it out read more

Impressed with this market's quality, variety, and customer service. Came here for steaks and got some excellent ribeyes. They also had some very good tri-tips at a price comparable to back home in California. A shout-out to Logan in the meat department for his outstanding customer service! While most Fresh Markets have a nice atmosphere, albeit a costly one which is reflected in their prices, everything should be expected to be top-notch from both a quality and service perspective. The last 2 weeks in a row, many shelves have been bare, I wasn't able to find what I needed and then when I inquired about what days they stock their shelves, to try and come in on a different day in hopes that the shelves would have items my question was snarked at by the rude teenager named Haleigh who claimed all she does is ring up groceries. I realize I shouldn't be surprised by the meh attitudes of teenagers these days, since they don't know how to have conversations with human beings due to their faces being buried in phones but the correct answer would be "let me go find out or let me find someone who might be able to answer your question". We were the only people in their store, there was no line and if you're going to promote your store as high-end, your employees should reflect this instead of paying cheap labor for ungrateful, rude teenagers who have no work ethic - good luck to Haleigh, she is on the fast track to nowhere. read more

The Fresh Market is a small upscale supermarket chain out of Greensboro, North Carolina. Their concept is the capture the open feel of an European food market and bring it to the American masses. More than anything else I think stores like The Fresh Market encourages the customer not only to explore foods from different regions of the world but more overh they want to awaken the senses. When we explore and engage the senses it awakes a sense of awareness that life is bigger and more vast than we often make it out to be. I'm updating my review because I've gotten rotten meat from Fresh Market close to 20 times now. I'm not sure if your butchers purposely give Instacart shoppers bad meat to get it off the shelf, but I've had enough of it. Once again a large 20+ roast or steak smells like the most funky broccoli. Pandemic experience: this place absolutely has the worst management of any of the Fresh Markets in Atlanta. I've lived all over Atlanta and this Alpharetta location, by far, is truly in need of new management. I come here after my workouts to get fruit and other staples. They are always out of something or still stocking shelves, which is fine unless you ask for something. You get so much attitude - like, "how dare you ask me to work, lady". Today I was blocked from going straight through the produce section by a stock boy putting peaches out. The only way I could go was where there was a yellow caution cone. I gingerly stepped around and still fell bc the floor was soaked. Skinned my knee, clearly in pain, and the stock boy looked at me like "stupid lady". Once I got up - not that he would break a sweat to help me - he asked "you ok?" Ummm. No. Get some manners and some better managers. I'm driving to Whole Foods from now on. Update - 12/31/22 - just getting something at the bakery is a chore. Asked for a box that wouldn't smash the top of the cake, and the dude argued with me and smashed it anyway. Then another customer asked me to move, I did, she bumped into me with her cart, and of course the cake fell and smashed on the ground. Not meant to be, I guess. Within 5 minutes, explaining to my son that "no, that lady isn't a jerk" like he asked, but instead "just isn't paying attention to her surroundings - remember when I asked you to pay attention at Whole Foods a minute ago?", the busy body Karen in front of me chimed in to criticize my parenting. This is THE worst grocery store - horrible management, customers and the food is not that good. RUN AWAY. Update 1/2/23: All future patrons take note of the cowardly response from Fresh Market management below. They take no responsibility, have no accountability for their poor leadership and lackluster employee performance. By contrast, every employee at Whole Foods, Publix and even Kroger whom I met during this crazy busy holiday season was interested in solving a problem or making your order just perfect. My 70 year old parents have had the exact same experience at the Fresh Market in Dunwoody as well. This place makes me want to whip up an antipasto plate and have myself a little cocktail party. The dim lighting, classical music, and abundance of plants and flowers make me feel..... sophisticated. This is not your average grocery store where you'll find cartoonish kiddie cereals, Kroger brand cheese at Kroger Plus prices, and weekly ads with tear-out coupons. This is the adult's grocery store, and I long to marry a man that will provide for me in such a way that I can afford to make a place like Fresh Market one of my primary grocery stores. This location isn't huge (slightly smaller than a Trader Joe's, maybe), but it's got a nice selection of produce, a good fresh meat and seafood counter, and great wines and cheeses. There's only a few aisles of packaged products, and I bought some good quinoa here. The refrigerated drinks and sodas are tasty and mainly consist of brands like Stewart's and Dr. Brown's and several different infused waters and teas. The area where you can buy prepared salads and such by the pound is about 1/6 the size of Whole Foods's selection, but everything I've tried has been good. The spicy rotisserie drummettes are delish! Yes, Fresh Market is pretty expensive, but it wouldn't want to be any other way. read more

A FEAST FOR THE EYES! This Fresh Market is located in a center near the intersection of Old Alabama and Haynes Bridge Rd. It is smaller than the Duluth location but fabulous nonetheless. I just loved meandering through this store and looking at all of the great food. I make it a habit to go on a full stomach or I would have been throwing things into my cart non-stop. The temptation starts with the seafood bar and the beautiful fresh proteins. If you don't cook or don't care to cook, this store is perfect for you because they have great ingredients to assist you in making quick and easy salads or they offer you plenty of prepared options in the form of wraps, salads, seafood and hot food options. Their fruits and vegetables looked very fresh and even I was in the store quality control was in progress. I was very surprised at their bulk candy and nut selection and felt as if I had wandered into Willie Wonka land! I was not really hungry when I entered the store but I did find myself staring at a couple of pastries in the bakery department. I eventually purchased an apple pastry for my husband and a cinnamon roll for myself. I also found some gluten-free wraps that I want to try with my turkey salad. Mmmm! Can't wait to toast and test. Even though I an not usually inclined to purchase a prepared pie or cake, (I simply prefer homemade), I can honestly say that they have some of the most tempting and beautifully decorated selections on display. They are perfect for holiday parties or family gatherings. Fresh Market stores are always beautifully staged, with a variety of interesting and healthy foods. I really enjoyed the holiday displays and the instrumental Christmas music playing quietly in the background. ***The cinnamon roll was delicious as it was made with a very light croissant-like dough. I'm impressed. I needed to make the weekend grocery run Friday evening and on my way home from work. My usual grocery adventures are not on my path home most days. So out I pull the handy dandy Yelp application on my phone and this place comes up. I figure what the hell it can't be any more expensive than Whole Foods. Anyway I walk in the door and straight into flesh flowers and sweet classical music. My first thought...is this really a grocery? Just past the flowers you'll find beautiful seasonal produce, yummy looking meats and a wonderful bakery section. I was impressed by the fact that this store seems to be more adult/foodie/single/childless couple oriented. There isn't a lot of sugar cereals and tons of candy floating around. In fact they have a small pre-packaged food section. The concentration here really is fresh food. Price point was no worse than Whole Foods in fact it may be a little cheaper. But the adage is true, you get what you pay for. read more

This is one of those fancy grocery stores where everything is expensive. But then again, you get what you pay for. The quality of goods here are far more superior than your average grocery store. Every single meat, veggies, and fruits are fresh here. And every single person that works here is so ultra helpful that I sometimes try to avoid eye contact so they would leave me in peace ;) A good place for fresh seafood and freshly cut flowers. Where am I? This is basically the boutique, yet refined version of Whole Foods. High Quality, higher prices (yes, Higher than Whole Foods if you can imagine that), but don't you just feel happier shopping here? I smelled Pumpkin Spice as soon as I walked in and felt like I arrived in some sort of grocery paradise. From the lighting to the flowers, everything felt different. Shoot, I felt healthier just walking through the aisles. I don't shop here, for the record my boyfriend does. I'll gladly keep him company every time he needs to pick up some items. This precise location of The Fresh Market was probably the one that heightened my interest in grocery-shopping. Having gone to run-of-the-mill grocery stores before (i.e., Publix, Kroger, Winn-Dixie, etc.), entering this gourmet food retailer was semi-life-changing. Anyway, the people who work here are super friendly and while it's true that produce and meats are expensive, the quality is much higher than the aforementioned places of business. You are likely to have a wider selection of organic products here and will run into items not available at the major grocers. While I rarely buy produce/meats here, I have gotten many items from the bakery, which is top-notch when considering that it is just a department of a grocery store. The prices will be a bit higher than other grocery stores' bakery sections but lower than stand-alone bakeries. Lots of yogurts, pastas, and ethnic items can be found here, for those who are scared to venture to farmers and ethnic markets. Because I'm not afraid to do this and actually do it quite often, I cannot justify spending so much more for the same/similar items at Fresh Market. But I love getting snacks from the bins and scooped myself some of the chocolate-covered espresso beans just a week ago. Ciao Bella gelato can be found here and the price is actually probably better than some of the regular grocery stores (or am I just dreaming this?). Even if you are tight on money, wander through the store and marvel at the selection that is available in such a suburban setting. read more

I normally like Fresh Market but I am disgusted by this trend to price meat per piece rather than per lb. Your attempt to provide less than fair value is transparent. My wife came home today with $30 of filets for less than 1 lb of meat. She thought it was less than the $21/lb at first glance. Stop trying to scam the public. This practice is deceitful and provides no value to the consumer. I caught on to this quickly and simply ask your guys to weight the portion so I can do the math. What a pain that is! Why should I have to that? Will you start selling milk by the lb rather than the gallon? That should be interesting. Until you stop this pricing method, you have lost me as a customer. read more

I love fresh market! They are not as expensive as Whole Paycheck aka whole foods, yet in my opinion have better quality meats. I have gotten numerous great deals here, namely their 2.99/lb chicken breast on Tuesdays. Their salmon also goes on sale, a lb for 6.99 and its just delicious! Ground beef can usually be found on sale on Tuesdays as well (although it occasionally changes) I buy skinny asparagus which I LOVE! I can never find it anywhere else I get lunch here from time to time and I love the Panini's. They grill them for you, all gooey and toasty! The guys at the meat counter are always in a good mood. And the best part, 10% off four bottles of wine. Yes they have cheap wine here and for the most part its A OK! Come here, you will be impressed! read more

I absolutely love love love this place. Everything is fresh, I have the ability to get a pre made meal, or get all the components to create my own. They have by far the utmost amazing delicious fresh bean coffee. We go at least a couple times a month to restock on it- Tanzanian Pea-berry is where its at!! From the fresh fruit and veggies to the fresh flowers, they have a wide selection and good pricing on everything. and samples of just about anything. We love Fresh Market! (It reminds me a lot of the former Bruno's from where I grew up in Sandy Springs.) While we don't shop here exclusively due to the prices being higher than a typical grocery store, we usually have a good experience every visit. The store is always clean and pleasing for the senses. Their coffee selection (and free samples) are excellent, as well as their bakery and alternating meal selections at the food bar. I try not to linger in their candy section due to my sweet tooth, although I am impressed with what's available. I also admire the fact that they offer a few more common brands (e.g. Abita beer) for one-stop shopping and often at a decent price! Fresh Market in the past has had Great New York strip steaks however our last two purchases from this particular store have been absolutely terrible today's was the worst they were small prime New York strip steaks for $10 each we could not even finish half of it, I would not feed this to my dog. They were tough and literally no taste, terrible. Don't waste your time and money on this. read more

I normally give this place a pretty good review but after overheard a deli manager chew out an Employee. I also observed another Manager not say a thing when they came near the conversation. I would of fired that Manager on the spot, as it was embaressing to watch and I could only imagine how the Employee felf. I will send an email to their corp office about this also, with names and times. I did take note of the name tags at least. This really upsets me when I see this so will not go here anymore for quite some time. read more

There is a God because there is a Fresh Market! This place is any foodie's heaven! I love coming here and feeling like I have been thrown into a European marketplace with wonderful fresh baked goods, top of the line cuts of pork, beef, poultry and seafood. There are samples galore and all kinds of interesting and exciting things to try. I can never go in this store and leave without 5-6 bags worth of goodies. Its my little treat to myself. Does not come close to whole foods. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to my usual buckhead whole foods, so I gave this fresh market a shot. I didn't get half of what I needed: Avocados were ALL over-ripe, 99% of the organic strawberries boxes were either molded or squishy old (i lucked out on the last good one, but it was $2 more per box than whole foods), they didnt have the beets I needed (the pink and white ones), there wasn't ANY non-dairy yogurt like at Whole Foods - where there is coconut milk yogurt my fave. In general, just a poor selection of fruit and vegetables with most of them too ripe to eat. No one offered to help find anything either, whereas whole foods I get great customer service. The aisles are too small, and things are just placed in random parts of the store. I also didn't like that you had no other option than to wait in line to get meat from the counter, so I didnt even try. The only thing I liked was that it smelled delicious when you walk in. read more

I like Fresh Market and what they sell and have been going there for some time. When I went to the store this week I was greeted by a sign saying all patrons had to wear face coverings. Great policy!!! When I went in almost everyone was wearing a mask of some sort, but there were a few people who were not. OK, so they may have not seen the sign, cut 'em some slack this time but the staff should be more diligent about allowing entry. I went to the Deli and was served by a woman who was actually NOT wearing a mask OR gloves! (The two other servers were both wearing masks and gloves as were all of the other employees in the store.) She proceeded to spoon my prepared food order into a plastic container and put a lid and a pricing label on it, again, with NO GLOVES or MASK. I should have refused it but didn't for some reason (I was wearing gloves). I told the front end manager at the checkout about this and he was surprised. I asked him to talk to the manager about this and he was paging him while I was leaving. Sorry, but this should NEVER have happened and I was shocked to see it. After going home I felt the need to sanitize the container and re-bake the food to ensure that it was safe. I'll likely try the store again but this was very disconcerting and disappointing. read more

Very clean and nice store layout with a good (not great) selection of products. Fresh roses are a good deal most of the time but that is about the only bargain to be found. I went in for some fresh ground coffee because the new Whole Foods on Old Milton is still settling in and slowly making improvements. The flavored coffee beans at The Fresh Market weren't nearly as good as Whole Foods/Harry's, even though the coffees at Fresh Market were just as pricy. read more

I LOVE this store! They always have some awesome new thing that you can't find anywhere else. They can be a little pricey on some items which is why I give them 4 stars instead of 5, but there are times when they have some very good deals. The employees are always so pleasant. One of my favorite things about The Fresh Market is the coffee! Just one dollar for a 12 oz cup of very good coffee! I stopped going to Starbucks once I realized they were selling coffee by the cup. These guys used to be awesome. No more. The last few times I've been in the produce has been poor - I can't even believe they had some of it for sale - clearly needed to be thrown out. The meat quality has also been reduced - no better than you'll get at the 'standard' grocery. Wine selection subpar. The fresh flowers do still look really good and are a great value. And I like the quick in and out. Unless I'm really pressed for time I'll make the trip to Whole Foods. read more
