HMart has been my go to grocery store for anything Asian. They have a good variety of produce and…read moreusually pretty fresh, there are times where the veggies are just wilted and minimal selections, but most of the time it's pretty decent. The past couple of times I've been here (probably 3 times within 2 weeks), their shelves look scarce, not sure if that's the combination of everyone getting groceries at the same time because of the ice storm and they not being able to get deliveries due to weather. Every trip to HMart, I stock up on meats (pork bellies, beef bulgogi slices, marinated chicken), veggies like radishes, bok choy, watercress, ginger, garlic, cucumber, tofu, and mushrooms. I also get the large tub of Kimchi, a large bag or 2 of rice cakes, and a whole bunch of the banchan. They have such a large array of them, it's always hard to decide which ones to get.

Overall My…read moreexperience at H Mart in Duluth was genuinely delightful. It's bright, spacious, well stocked, and has the kind of energy and selection that makes you want to wander the aisles "just for a minute" (and leave with three bags). Selection and Variety The selection is excellent, especially for fresh produce, fruit, and Korean and Asian grocery staples. There's also a lot of diversity in products and shoppers, and the store clearly serves a high demand area, which helps keep the variety strong and restocking frequent. Prices and Deals We loved the prices, especially the number of discounted items. There were plenty of sale items that felt seasonal or promotion based, and the discounts on produce and fruit in particular were great. Samples and Food Experience There were enough food samples to make the trip extra fun and easy to discover new items. It adds to the overall experience and makes the store feel lively and welcoming. Store Layout and Cleanliness It's easy to find things, the store is clean, and the space is big enough that it doesn't feel cramped even with high traffic. The overall atmosphere is brighter and larger than many stores we're used to. Service and Atmosphere Service was good, and the atmosphere felt upbeat and energetic. The large local Korean population seems to support a strong, well curated H Mart experience here, and it shows. Personal Note For transparency, we live in Washington state, so visiting this H Mart was a refreshing experience, especially because of the scale, selection, and overall vibe. Would we return? Absolutely. We'll come back again whenever we visit Georgia.

However, the Korean manager responded in a very rude and irritated manner, asking me why I had come to Customer Service to ask about it and telling me to go ask the cashier instead. His tone and attitude made me feel extremely uncomfortable and intimidated. I was honestly scared by the way he spoke to me. I visit Mega Mart every week, but unfortunately, I have repeatedly felt that some of the employees are unfriendly and do not treat customers with proper courtesy and respect. I hope management will take this complaint seriously and provide appropriate customer service and communication training to employees, especially managers. Customers should be treated with kindness, patience, and respect when they come to the store for assistance. I enjoy shopping at Mega Mart and visit regularly, so I sincerely hope that the customer service experience can be improved in the future.

Overall This market…read morewasn't what we expected based on the name. "Namdaemun" immediately made us think of the famous open market area in Korea and we assumed the store would be Korean focused. In reality, the selection and overall vibe leaned overwhelmingly Hispanic and Latin American, with very few Korean items. Name vs Reality The name feels misleading. We came in expecting a Korean grocery market concept, but most of the products (including the bakery) were predominantly Hispanic. The shopper base also didn't feel very Korean, so it didn't come across as a Korean market experience. Selection If you are looking for Hispanic, Latin American, South American, or Central American groceries and produce, this place may actually be a solid option. It just doesn't match what the "Namdaemun" name implies. Atmosphere and Cleanliness The atmosphere felt more like a discount store than a bright, modern market. The store felt more cramped and less clean, open, and bright compared to places like H Mart or Mega Mart. Visually, it also leaned more flashy and cluttered rather than clean and curated. Who I would recommend it for I'd recommend this market for shoppers specifically seeking Hispanic or Latin American grocery items and produce. If you're coming in expecting a Korean market experience because of the name, you may be disappointed like we were. Would we return? Probably not for what we were originally looking for, but I can see it being useful for people shopping for Latin American ingredients and products.

Though it's not my "home" Kroger, I do sometimes visit this location on the way home if I'm on Sugarloaf. They have a gas station as well as a Starbucks, so it's the full Kroger experience and it's not as packed as the Kroger on Steve Reynolds so you'll definitely not be packed with a lot of people. It's your typical Kroger -- it has everything you need and it's well stocked. My most recent visit was to pump gas and get some coffee and I was able to be in & out in a snap!

I get back to my car and I realize that the register did not recognize the discount that I saw on the Rye bread which stated was 2.99, and I was charged 4.99 for it. I figured, "no biggie, let me just go back in and they should fix it". I come in, as the last customer is leaving out with a cart with groceries, it's 11:05 at this point. This kid that's working there with dreads asks me "you need help with something?" I said "yes, I overpaid for my bread, wanted to see if I could get a refund", and he says "okay, he's in the back he should come back up", and he is looking at me like I shouldn't be there.. some other guy comes down and he looks really bothered and he is packing his backpack. He asks me "what do you need help with?" I tell him the same thing, and I ask if the guy is coming? And the young guy tells me "you shouldn't be here, we're closed", I said yeah It wasn't even 10 mins ago that I paid.. so the frustrated guy goes to go get the guy that was working the check out registers and as he (RIZA) is coming towards me he YELLS at me "Who let you in?! HEY HEY, WHO let you in?!!" & I said chuckling "the last customer was headed out", and he says "well we're closed"?? Then the frustrated guy pulls $5 out of his wallet and tells me here take this.. in front of me and RIZA, and I was confused. Riza says "okay let's just do this", as he rushes to grab the nearest computer and gives me refund for the whole thing, and I said "I just wanted the difference, I wanted to keep the bread", and he brushingly says "yeah, we're past that!", as he walks away. Then both the frustrated guy and RIZA are both starring at me like in frustration." The entire thing was BEYOND unprofessional. The fact that EVERYONE acted the exact same way, and didn't even care to atleast fake customer service says a lot about whoever is hiring all these people. These people reflect the leaders of this store unfortunately. I am truly, truly disappointed.

I went this past week because I was looking for 2 specific items that I wasn't able to find at 2 other large Asian markets. Someone had suggested this Market because of the extensive ethnic choices. It has Asian (Korean, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Filipino), European, South American, Hispanic and American items. There are sections that have premade Asian meals, fresh seafood, extensive fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, pantry staples, bakery items, almost anything you might want. It's a large market and you could spend hours going up and down the aisles exploring. I was surprised to find they even had a favorite pop that I only thought I could get in Michigan. Now I know that I can go here and get it, without having to have it ordered online. It can get busy on the weekends when everyone is doing their weekly shopping, but I went later in the day and was able to find parking and not bump into people or long lines.

I have lived near Buford Highway Farmers Market for 28 years. I have visited at least two to three…read moretimes a week. BHFM pretty much had its "Glory Years" 10 or 15 years ago. It has slowly gone downhill since then. I have bought their quart container of squeezed pink grapefruit juice many times, it used to be very reasonable. For the past couple of months the price has risen to $13.99 a quart !!! Whole Foods has the same thing for $8.99. Other sources are no where near $13.99. That's price gouging. All the daily house hold products are also much higher than Target, Walmart, Kroger, Publix. I cannot believe people pay the prices. Unless they are on special, berry's and fruit's are more expensive than Publix or Kroger and they look like they are second or third tier quality. The same for the vegetables, some literally still have dirt on them and are definitely poor quality. I bought sushi the other day at the counter in the back, for the price it was great. I decided to buy extra Wasabi, there were three kinds on the counter. None had a price, not on the container, not on the shelf. I asked the person behind the counter what were the prices, they said they didn't know, I would have to carry the wasabi literally diagonally across the store and get a price. The person couldn't call and ask ?!?! How does an employee not notice these items are not priced !?!? I have always loved the cafeteria, their entrees are delicious. Now some of the trays have nothing in them and some have been sitting in the trays and have a skim on the top because they haven't even stirred them up obviously for hours. 40% off after 4;30pm, great deal, but half or more of the food is gone, by 5pm they have pretty much closed up. The Mex part is closed at 4:30pm. So sad, a great resource, just about ruined. They also used to have cooking classes, which were great. They haven't had a class in years. Today I go in and by 4 items, the lines are long, so I took it to the quick checkout near the entrance. A person in front of me had over 10 items, each bag was like 5 pounds of vegetables each. He was not an employee, be paid cash. I asked the cashier so the line is no longer 10 items or less? She shrugged her shoulders !!! There used to be 10 items or less registers, at least two. Both of those have been long gone. It looks like BHFM is adding self checkout, the registers are installed and have sat there 2 years !?!? Still not open. With skyrocketing grocery prices and the competition in the area BHFM management needs to wake up. The outside isn't looking its best either. I hate to write this, but come on BHFM !!! Yes, there are some good deals, especially specials, but they are no where near the quality / price of Whole Foods or Dekalb Farmers Market. The same for H MART, I want competitive pricing and quality products, as a local, the "novelty" effect means nothing to me.
