Last night was one of my worst dining experiences ever!!! I have been here several times before, I have even gotten take out. NEVER AGAIN! Understandably it was an extremely busy night. Believe me, I do take that into consideration. There was a concert and the bar was overwhelmed with throngs of people wanting beer and other drinks. That is why we were so patient.
It took 1 hrs and 37 minutes to receive our food!!! That is from when we ordered to receiving our meal.
We had a 45 minute wait to be seated. No problem.
We were seated. Ordered our beverages, & promptly ordered our food right away. We all knew what we wanted by the time the waitress got back to the table with our drinks. Great service so far. Then about 15 minutes later, our new waiter appeared to let us know that he was taking over for our waitress. Okay, no problem. We let him know that we still have not received rolls, nor the a salad we ordered. By this time, a group of 3 teenage girls had been seated next to us, & a large family of about 10 people in our view. The waiter refilled our drinks, & we asked about our salad and rolls. Surprised, because he had asked the busboy to deliver them, as he was rushing around trying to take orders and do his job. The other two tables had received their rolls, and had not even ordered yet. After another 20 minutes the waiter comes by again, and pretty fed up, my husband sternly talks to the waiter as to what the situation was, as to what was taking so long, as it has been quite awhile since we ordered and still no food what so ever. He explained to us that he was working the bar and they moved him over here. Finally about 5 minutes later, a busboy comes along and looks over to see if the teenage girls have rolls, which they do, and then literally just kind of throws/drops them on our table. Meanwhile our waiter is coming just steps behind him with our salad, rolls and marinera sauce. Finally some of our food after about an hour. The waiter assures us that our food is in the oven and will be right out. Meanwhile the two tables I have already mentioned have already received their food. Finally, our table receives our pasta dish. Which was delicious. Servers are waiting and yelling at the kitchen staff, which is the obvious problem. Waiting well over and hour and a half, my husband lets the waiter know that we are fed up, and that if our food isn't ready, to cancel our order. We will pay for what we received and want to leave. Checking with the kitchen, they look in the oven, as it still wasn't ready; and we finally receive the rest of our order about seven minutes later. The kids pizza and two calzones we ordered were good. Still not worth waiting over an hour and a half for. It is too bad that this one extremely bad experience will keep us from patronizing this establishment again. As with another table that was waiting to leave when the manager made the wait staff switch. They were waiting for the waitress to take their card for half an hour, but then just got so fed up, they just paid cash and left very upset. Another table that we witnessed had ordered pizza and left it there, grumbling that it was the worst they had ever had. Not thinking too much of them, as we have had their pizza, and enjoyed it in the past. Had we not already ordered, we wouldn't have waited. Honestly, the waiters/waitresses are not to blame. They were just waiting for the kitchen! I understand that it was an extremely busy night, and that there were many to-go pizza orders, however when that seems to take precedence over your dine-in patrons, there is a problem with the management priorities. The owners need to step in and either change or fix management or kitchen staff.
The food is good, it is very unfortunate that this one night and experience has marred the reputation of the restaurant for a few restaurant diners. read more
