Food is decent but I've definitely had better Italian. The redeeming thing is the atmosphere, the patio and the music. It's a nice place to hangout for sure. read more

Ippolito's - Italian Near Me - Suwanee, Georgia

While the menu looked great and the prices were reasonable, I will not be returning. I was very disappointed with my meal. My ceasar salad was inedible due to the amount of dressing that it contained. Likewise, my entree, an eggplant dish, was swimming in so much marinara sauce that it was difficult to even taste the flavors of the dish. I did give my feedback to the manager, who just said "I'm sorry" and gave little confidence that it would be considered. read more

Fire everybody and start from scratch. That is the only way this place will survive. Terrible service. Honestly probably the worst service I have ever seen in my life. This restaurant reminds me of Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey. He needs to pay this place a visit and put out waiter in a choke hold. read more

My server catherine was absolutely amazing! the pizza was perfectly cooked and every ingredient was so fresh! our drinks were never empty and she was very well versed on the menu items, the sangria was such a good blend. i love this location and will definitely be coming back! ask for catherine when you go! read more

Had a fantastic arugula salad topped off with salmon. So yummy!! Their bread knots and fresh marinara are super tasty as well. Service is always excellent!! I will return each time I go back and visit the Suwannee area! read more

Sadly, this establishment has run the gauntlet and it's time to call it quits or take a step back into time, when the food was tasty and worth the visit. Arugula is a vibrant, peppery, stand-up salad green, holding its own without many extras, but in this case, the dish arrived on its last leg, along with the missing counterparts that were described on the menu. Pizza is an art, a delicate balance, which is now a money maker for misleading ingredients on a skimpy pile of squares. We have been patrons for decades, and every once in awhile try to re-live the good old times, but it doesn't seem to materialize anymore. read more

I had a creamy shrimp dish here a couple of weeks ago and it was simply delicious. Wish I had taken a pic but it was a no phones kind of dinner. It is my go to date night for my husband and I and we always leave satisfied. Good food and good drinks. If you are heading to Suwanee Town Center, this is the best place to eat. read more

They stay open because of the square. Came in for dinner the waiter was nice but the food was tasteless. Expensive food with no taste, tried the calzone and the blackened chicken pasta, no flavor at all. Wait time after we placed the order was also an issue. Way overpriced for the overall quality of the food. read more

My family and I love Ippolito's. We visited the Suwanee Town Center location around 5:00pm. The place was not busy yet and we were greeted by a host upon entry. Service was good, not great. Everyone's food was great except for mine. I ordered the creamy pesto with rigatoni pasta and it was rather bland. Even after adding salt and cheese, it didn't really change the taste. The four star review is because we do love the rolls and the other entrees were on on point. Definitely will be back in the future. read more

Great food, dependable staff but terrible customer service. Very unclear how to go/pick up works. Sign on TO GO door says go to bar to place order. So I waited in the to go area for about 8 minutes until I was asked to walk around front ( I'd already had to walk around to the bar once before. I order to go around here often). Food was waiting on the bar. Called to mention to management that it's unclear to the customer how to-go order works & she argued with me. Like really read more

Terrible service. My boyfriend and I waited over 20 minutes just to order our food. When the food came out it wasn't even worth it. It was mediocre at best, nothing that sets a WOW factor. Plus they jumble the spaghetti with our food (Chicken Parm) so it looked like cafeteria food. Would NOT recommend. We ordered for garlic bread too and all we got was 2 small Pillsbury Dough rolls. read more

Haven't been here since before the pandemic. Was sadly disappointed. Took waiter over 20 minutes to greet us. Another 15 minutes to bring our non alcoholic drinks. And another 15 minutes to take our order. Garlic rolls were cold and somewhat hard. All three of us agreed our food was mediocre at best. Used to love this place. Sad to see it go down to this level. read more

Where to begin....... TERRIBLE service. Cold, bland food.... I emailed the General Manager, Allison, today ( 12/09/16) and she was RUDE. She wanted to speak over the phone, but I am working and asked if I could call at 7PM. She said no, to call at 9PM. That is too late for me to sit on the phone. Then proceeded to tell me they are not near the mall even though I came from the mall and it took me 15 minutes. "can you call after 9, 7 is going to be extremely busy.. Also, we aren't near the mall of Ga. but call after 9 so I can helo with this issue. Allison Hozman, GM" very professional, Allison..... Typo's and all. read more

Had a bad experience during lunch. Peggy our service was horrific. Food took over 45 minutes to come and Peggy never checked on us and seemed very annoyed when we finally flagged her to check on the status of our food. read more

Now I understand why they have such poor reviews... Sub par food + possibly the worse customer service on the face of this planet. We came in and ordered our food right away because they were super busy. I ordered fig and prosciutto flatbread. Of course after waiting over 45 min. the so called manager comes over to me and said "your flatbread is burnt, we don't have anymore figs". Let's rewind this before I lose momentum of why I'm furious of the approach. You're the manager and in order to handle customers who've been waiting whether it's 10 min or 45 min, there's a proper way of approaching that can alleviate a lot of tensions that's already brewing from hungry customers. You don't come over with an f*cking ultimatum. You come over with a sincere apologetic gesture of oh I'm sorry the kitchen burnt your flat bread, can I get you something else? No, I didn't get any of that and I deserve every bit of apologies from the way she approached me. Me shunned, responded that I would like figs on my flatbread, she threw her arms in the air and said "well I can't grab figs pulled out of the sky for you". Just WOW???? Is that how customers are treated when they want a particular item? Ok, so if the kitchen burnt my bread, and there's no fig left, can you please kindly suggest something else for me rather than giving me an ultimatum and not offer to do anything about it??? Give me a damn menu??? Nothing. So supposedly the owner comes over and try to take up for her poor behavior but the damage is already done. Needless to say, I didn't get to eat so I left hungry. But guess what? There's a million other places that would gladly treat and serve me respectfully. I didn't come here for free food so don't think removing sweet tea from my tab was a damn favor. And for the record, we sat next to the kitchen, there were no burnt fig that I could smell, just fishy seafood and shitty service read more

I tried this place four times and as much as I wanna love it based on location and the menu I just feel like overall the quality is just okay. The location is awesome and the decor on the inside is very nice. Comfortable seating inside, out and bar top. Staff has all been pretty stellar, but the food has missed the mark. Outside of the garlic knots which are very tasty the pasta, sandwiches and pizza have been nothing special for me and this is really a mediocre Italian restaurant in a cool location. Starting with the pasta itself... It has been over or under cooked on two visits and the sauce watered down or lacking flavor, while on another visit the olive and garlic oil was spot on. The bbq chicken flatbread had great flavor, but the chicken itself tasted like pre-packaged strips, so it would have been better to just eat the onions. The same with the meatballs that I had on another visit which tasted like they were re-heated. There is a considerable difference in taste when you cook something right before putting it on a pizza or a pasta dish and it really has to do with that and the quality of the meat being used. The marsala I tried was really tasty, but the chicken they used was awful. If they just looked at the quality of meat used by other restaurants this place could be so much better! Now you are probably wondering why I have been here so many times and not happy with things I keep coming back and it is just the the fact that while I wish it was better the location and lack of other options at Suwanee are lacking. Hoping for improvement!!!! read more

Not very good. Seems to have gone downhill at this location. Rolls seemed dry and a different texture. Salad portion was in a small bowl when it used to be larger. Waitress was not very good. eggplant rollitini was lost in too much sauce. Been coming to ippolitos since the mid 80s when they had one location in Roswell. Very disappointing. read more

Ippolito's - Overflowing garbage can with trash on floor in my table. - Italian Near Me - Suwanee, Georgia

I didn't expect it to be the best Italian I've had, but it wasn't even what I'd consider to be doable when in a rush. Our food was pretty bland and tasted like it came from a jar. Even the garlic knots were bland. I wouldn't go back. read more

I've always heard of this place and see it every time I visit the Suwanee Town Center but never got a chance to check them out until last weekend. We were celebrating our friend Melanie's 30th birthday and had a great time out on their patio. Our server Valerie was great! The food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed their stromboli's, custom pasta and pizzas. I loved my chopped Italian salad and their blue cheese dressing rocks. Super thick and chunky. The inside of the restaurant is super cute and cozy. This restaurant is family friendly and is conveniently located facing the park at Suwanee Town Center. You can't miss it. Again, Valerie, one of the servers was great! She took great care of us & was very accommodating for our friend's 30th birthday party! read more

Absolutely horrible experience. We arrived early yesterday evening and despite there being numerous servers and no one in the restaurant it took forever to get water refills and get our food. The rolls were cold & stale, the spaghetti was bland and the calamari had a horrible fishy frozen smell. The restroom was dirty, the paper towel machine was broke as well as the bathroom stall lock. This restaurant has gone down hill & isn't worth half of what you pay. read more

What a disappointment! Went here a few nights ago with some friends. We were looking very forward to Italian food but was quickly disappointed. The rolls at the beginning were amazing!! But the food not at all. I had the chicken Alfredo which tasted "off" husband had the chicken parmigiana it was just ok. Friends had chicken marsala just the looks of it was gross and they said it tasted about how it looked. On top of that the service was horrible! She acted as if there were a million other places she had rather been, I felt as if serving us was an problem for her. I do not normally complain but felt this needed to be said about this place. I don't think I will return here , there are way better Italian places in the area. read more

There are probably "Italian family restaurants" like this all across America. The nearby park creates a steady stream of foot traffic, and the homey feel makes up for the fact that the seats, tables, and windowsills are often peppered with bits of stale-smelling Parmesan. We were told that the food would be "decent" and that there would be good garlic rolls. And yes, we had many rolls in order to mask the sadness of the lifeless salad (a poor choice, our fault), the overcooked pasta with Ragu sauce, and the dry, too-salty pizza with over-cooked toppings-- PIZZA! Something so hard to make un-tasty that when our young, overly-enthusiastic waiter came to check in with us that we wore masks of incredulity as we muttered that everything was "fine." "Mediocre," "subpar," "edible" -- those are better adjectives. When the bill came I just felt sad -- sad that this is what passes for Italian food or even acceptably decent restaurant food which people pay for with their hard-earned money. You can seriously do much better with Digiorno's or a nice jar of pasta sauce at home. read more

I have been a huge fan of Ippolito's for years now and have been coming to this location for a while now (over 4 years). The location is awesome. Not only that, but this Ippolito's has a nice setup going on and I would eat there just to get away. That being said I was a bit disappointed in the food quality this time around. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which is a signature dish for this spot and it wasn't good. Their dinner garlic rolls were dry and felt like they were old and our predinner salads were really tough to eat as well. The service was top notch for the weekend after Thanksgiving however and I was so happy. Everyone is always friendly and they didn't disappoint in this area at all. I am going to give them another try and see what happens. read more

Mediocre food. Not your typical Italian restuarant ot pizza place. They dump a huge pile of garlic knots in front of you to distract you from the sub-par main courses. I feel like this place gets worse and worse each time I come. I came to this restaurant when it first opened, the food was amazing. I've come back many more times since, but when I went the other week I just didn't feel that the quality was as good as it used to be. I got the Baked Ziti the other day, it wasn't good at all. The major problem was with the meat sauce, it felt like straight out of a can. I was excepting the sauce to have a robust flavor, but it was dull, plain, and boring. The cheese and noodles were good, but overall the meat sauce just ruined it for me. The Garlic Knots and pizza is what makes me go back every time. The Garlic Knots are much better than the Olive Garden ones. The pizza is very good too. Would I go back... Yes, but get the pizza because it's much better than any of the kinds of pasta. read more

Not much EyeTalian going on, but decent when compared to what other folks think Eyetalian food should be. I've visited Ippolitos on various occasions in the past, and it's never really been bad per se, but not usually much to write home about. Average food with decent service, but with what else is out there, it's tough to call this "Italian", even from my Italian upbringing. I get the fact that most people don't know Italian food from Taco Bell, so what the majority says goes, right? Absolutely not. Basically if you want consistent food from location to location, then Ippolito's is right up your alley just as much as an Italian Applebee's can be. It's far better than Olive Garden, and the service is much better than that of the usual chains, which is what gives it three stars on average. For the folks of Suwanee, Georgia, there are other (if not better choices), but if mindless Eyetalian is your thing, then bring it on. The small, personal space is nicer than the other locations, and the servers are far more attentive than the other places, so choose wisely and try something a little less GPS than the spaghetti with red-sauce for a change... please? read more

The service was very attentive. She paid attention to our needs and checked on us regularly. The food was excellent as always. Only negative I have is that food took some time to get out to our table. But it was delicious. read more

Please do not waste your hard earned money here. Used to be good years ago. Calamari was chewy and looked like round large rings. Probably frozen not fresh. Biggest ripoff in Suwanee My wife brought me takeout Spaghetti with Marinara sauce. The entire order consisted of the spaghetti and 2 under cooked and cold rolls that were inedible. Here's the worst part; she was charged $10.95. Really? $10.95 for overcooked, limp spaghetti without enough sauce to even coat all of that and two awful pieces of bread for $10.95? What a ripoff! read more

Saturday Feb 19 7pm. Town Center Ave in Suwannee. The food was decent. Service mediocre to poor. They were out of more wine than they had in stock and the waitress basically shrugged shoulders. Service is always good at this location, and the garlic rolls are spectacular! Parking can be a pain in the ass, but the food is worth it!

I've been coming here for four years since it moved from the Lawrenceville-Suwannee Road location, but I can't get Yelp to move the business now that it's listed as 'closed' so hopefully the new business listing will get this place back on Yelp as it so richly deserves to be. As with the other Ipp's locations, the garlic rolls are second to none. Garlicy but not TOO garlicy. Served with a bowl of marinara they're always the perfect appetizer to your meal ... the fact that they're free and the servers are never stingy with them are just plusses that puts this place at the top of my casual-italian eating list. The pasta food is also as good as the appetizers. My favourite dish appeals to my spicy taste buds: "make your own" dish with tortellini swimming in an aglio e olio sauce. The extra pancetta in the sauce and the peppers serve as a nice backdrop to the perfectly cooked cheese filled tortellini. This particular location has always given us good service as well as excellent food. If you come here on a Saturday night, expect to wait, of course - the popularity of the Town Center complex will have it packed in ... in this case, I recommend calling ahead of time and ordering "to go". The restaurant was cleverly built with a back door "to go" entrance from the rear parking lot - easy to access during peak traffic periods. read more

After reading some reviews I had high hopes but low expectations. We used to eat at the old Alpharetta location on Jones Bridge road regularly before they moved years ago. Lots of folks said it was not as good now but in our experience it was better. The food was every bit as good and the service and atmosphere was much improved. We had a lovely young lady named Taylor waiting on us and she treated us like we were her only table. We took home delicious (although pricy) desserts to complete the experience. Try this place yourself instead of taking the advice of some other negative reviewers. read more

Sad to say, Ippolito's is a no-go for us. We've given it two chances: once for takeout, and once we dined-in for dinner. This is a huge bummer because it's a great location and has nice ambiance. A lot of reviews have commented on poor service, but our service was fine on both occasions. The food, however, is mediocre at best. We have tried the chicken and spinach cannelloni (The filling is literally a very few chicken pieces, spinach, and ricotta cheese. No detectable seasoning whatsoever... all you can taste is bland ricotta cheese. The only detectable flavors in the sauce are tomato and garlic); the eggplant rolentini (Same complaint as the cannelloni, and these dishes were ordered months apart, so I can only assume this is the norm for their baked pasta dishes); the chicken vodka (The sauce is ok, and it had a lot of grilled chicken and sausage, but the if you get a bite of just chicken, it is completely unseasoned. The sausage is - meh. And I'm fairly certain there was an entire sliced onion in the dish. The flavors did not blend well, in my opinion); the kid's pepperoni pizza (This was COMPLETELY raw in the middle on the first try... We ordered it first, even before we placed our entree orders. But by the time it was remade, the rest of us were well into our entrees and we had a cranky, hungry 5 year old. They comped it for us.); and the Greek salad (this was okay... Mellow Mushroom's is better... and less expensive). Oh! I guess this speaks to their level of service... The whole reason we went in in the first place was because they have a sign out front that says, "Now serving gluten free pasta and pizza." Well, apparently, the gluten free pasta is only available "sometimes." The server told us that they literally go to the grocery store and buy gluten free pasta a couple of boxes at a time. When they are out, they are out. There is no schedule for when they do or do not have it, and no regular day they go "grocery shopping" for it. When we were in this past Sunday, they were out. It was like, "We don't have any today, sorry." So much for the sign in the window. For the prices, location, and atmosphere, we expected much, much more. We have had some spectacular Italian food from "cheap" holes-in-the-wall, though we haven't found one in this area yet. We'll keep searching for our go-to Italian place. read more

Word of advice: go to eat at the restaurant so just so you can partake of their delicious garlic rolls. I swear those things are sprinkled with crack, they're so addictively good. My boyfriend's been singing the praises of Ippolito's to me for some time now, so last night when we were trying to decide what to do for dinner (both of us had had long days at work), I suggested it and he readily agreed. It was a good decision. We went to the location in Suwanee Town Center and arrived around 8 PM. It was a little late, but the hostess seated us quickly and our server came over immediately to get a drink order. After looking over the menus and me querying him about different dishes (apparently Ippolito's has been on my boyfriend's radar for quite a while), we decided to split one of the house specialties: the onions and peppers (spaghetti with spicy red sauce, sauteed peppers and onions and Italian sausage) which came with the aforementioned rolls and a side salad. I have to tell you, he wasn't lying when he told me how good the rolls were. They're enormous and light and fluffy, lightly buttered fresh out of the oven and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese that melted from the heat of the rolls before being brought to the table. And expert that he is, he requested a side of marinara sauce to dip them in. Perfection. Absolutely delicious. Our Caesar salad came out quickly thereafter and was made with fresh romaine lettuce, crunchy croutons and a generous helping of more Parmesan. The real piece de resistance of the night though, was the main entree. When it was brought out, I was very glad we'd decided to split the entree: in classic Italian-restaurant style, it was quite large. On top of a ton of spaghetti were three Italian sausages, probably two full sauteed peppers and a large serving of spicy red sauce. And it was delicious. It really hit just the right spot and it was the perfect size for the two of us. We finished it but just barely - I really can't imagine trying to tackle a dish like that on my own. Ippolito's did a fine job that night: our server was good about giving us time with the menu, keeping our water glasses full, clearing plates and bringing the check quickly. The food was very tasty and good quality, and very "traditional Italian-American restaurant:" antipastos, salads, pizzas, calzones, lots of pasta options (baked options like ziti and lasagna and options like scampi and marsala). And for the amount of food we got, it was a very good price too. I'd certainly go back in the future, on one of those rare occasions that I'm craving some good pasta or Italian. read more

We went there with a large party (approx. 10-12 people) for a birthday dinner. We kept waiting for waters, trying to flag down a waitress, until finally someone from our party got up and took a water pitcher from a nearby cart and brought it to the table. When our waitress finally came out (after about 10 minutes), she seemed high as a kite. Kept getting our orders wrong, acting very spacey. When our food came out, some of our party was still waiting for their appetizer. The waitress had forgotten it. There were several orders mixed up. We reported this to the manager, who just made excuses for his waitress, saying they were swamped. That's not your customer's problem. Instead of taking our appetizers off our bill, they brought them out LATE, after the entree. To make matters much worse, when we got the check, there was a 15% gratuity added. My husband paid in cash, and did NOT include the gratuity. Our waitress was clearly high on something, and it should have been addressed properly by the manager, because her incompetence caused an entire party's meal to be a disaster. This incident happened a few years ago. Maybe they have a different manager now, but we have not been back since. read more

Not really sure what to say. I really wished this was "the Italian place" for us but it isn't. I'm finding it a real struggle to find good Italian food here. This place was no different . The positives, the waitstaff, hostesses and who I believe was the owner, they were all extremely nice. On to the food... Fried mozzarella- was good nothing special but the sauce was very taste that they served with them. Caesar salad w/ Gorgonzola- Surprisingly very good. I think this was my favorite part of the meal. Garlic Knots- Very good but nothing made them stand out except the size of them. Fettucini w/ pesto cream sauce and chicken- Subpar. I actually had a similar dish from lean cuisine back In the day. (Sorry, I hate to say that but it's true) Cheese Tortellini specialty dish w/ chix- ( I don't recall the exact name)- no taste to it. Sorry I really truly wanted to love this place but it just wasn't that great. Maybe I'm a tough critic coming from a highly concentrated italian population up north. read more
