They're simply the best in the business. My MBP2020 just died and they couldn't fix it, still under warranty, since they couldn't provide a replacement with the exact same parts. I came here to replace my mac hard drive, battery and data cable on different occasions-spending about $500. I thought it was convenient over going to the mac store but in retrospect just go to the mac store! The battery they replaced for me is defective (dies quickly and when apple ran diagnostics on it I discovered it never completely fully charges despite saying it's at 100%) and now the new hard drive has issues. I received a bill of $700 from Apple to fix the bad hard drive they put in my mac. Stay away for repairs!!! I purchased a refurbished Mac Pro Computer from iPowerResale Group in Carpinteria on February 25, 2013. I did my research and found that their prices were comparable to other re-sellers and they also provided a 90 day warranty on the unit. That was all great to me cause Im trying to keep my purchases local and with "Mom & Pop" shops here within Santa Barbara, rather than buying online or traveling to Los Angeles.. THE GOOD... Good to fair prices on Macintosh Computers. Nice Store, clean and set up nicely. Easy Parking THE BAD... The computer tower was all beat up, looked as if it was sand blasted and then tried to be buffed out. Did not come with Blue-tooth, Wi-Fi, or even extra Hard Drives trays. The power cord was not even the correct one for this MacPro Model, it is ill-fitting and I have to really shove it in the port to stay, and it still dosent stay snugly in the AC port.. The MacTower was all dusty inside, and dirty with what feels like tape residue on the outside. I would have assumed the tower would have been cleaned up and presented to new buyer looking A LOT BETTER.. Why did I buy it ? Cause I was in desperate need of a new MacPro tower for a work related time frame, needed a tower badly and quickly. I even tried to get this computer up-graded with a more suitable model for my needs and even offered extra cash to do it. Sort of a trade in the old one for a new one... But I was told that we "don't do that", but will gladly sell you what you do need, "AS IN' a new tower system... Will I buy from iPowerResale Group again ? ..... Most likely NOT.... read more

I had been a customer for years. I have bought computers here and had computers repaired. I dropped off my iMac for a monitor repair. I left a brand-new Samsung SSD with them and asked for them to install that before they sealed it again. They asked me if I was in a hurry. I told them that I wasn't. I never heard anything back, but I trusted that they eventually would contact me. Quite sometime later I still hadn't heard anything so I reached out to see what was happening with my iMac. After several attempts to locate my computer, the owner Tobias emailed me and said that the computer was gone and that it was my fault for leaving it with them for so long. After my objections and explaining that I was TOLD to leave it with them, he grudgingly said that it was a "shared fault" and that he would come up with a computer of comparable value and sell it to me. Nothing ever happened. He is no longer responding to my emails. I will never buy anything from them again, nor will I ever refer any business to them. I used to recommend them to friends, colleagues and clients, but I am not comfortable doing that after this experience. read more

After my IBook fell over in 2010 from overuse, I purchased a MacBook Pro from iPower Resale, and they loaded it with all I asked for at less than what I could get for a similar machine on eBay. They then replaced the hard drive in 2012 and copied all my files over for little $ when my cat knocked over a wineglass into my MacBook Pro. Same day service, mind you. I ordered a super jacked-up MacBook Pro for my daughter at a great price from them in 2015. It's still going strong. I just finally had to replace my 2010 machine with a newer model and got a terrific deal from them, with all files copied over onto a high-powered MacBook Pro they loaded up with 5 gigs of storage! Through amazon,i have emailed them four times telling them my computer died with only using it for college studies for 7 months. i asked Amazon to get involved about this and the seller avoided replying back to me within 48 hours required by Amazon. On that i kindly asked for an exchange of product as i have a short window to get my computer working as i start college within nine days and all Apple and repair services are slowed down terribly with Covid. With Apple closed means i have to put about $900 out of pocket as two authorized repair facilities had said the issue is with the Logic Board. you would think that when a seller sells you in good faith a product that is close to $2000.00 they would stand behind their product. They wait days before each response even though i stated i have limited time window to get this device fixed as my college engineering Cours of study begins and this computer has all. My summer coding and homework on it. . STAY AWAY. NO Support, and arrogant like, telling me they need to follow policies set by their refund division as opposed to help a college student with no income on unemployment. Since I did not buy extended warranty that it is my problem. Frankly, they SOLD ME A LEMON. THIS IS THERE PROBLEM. THEY WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT HELP. We all know they buy parts wholesale and could solve my problem for a fraction of retail that iI will have to pay. BAD BAD SERVICE!!! Our Mac arrived looking like it had been drug behind a truck on the highway. We were assured by their staff that the computer would be in excellent condition with only minor cosmetic blemishes. Very Happy w/ my Refurbished 2010 Mac Pro! I bought a late-2010 refurbished Mac Pro tower from iPower Resale in January 2014 and I am very happy with the buying experience. I dealt exclusively with Christina, mostly via e-mail but on the telephone too. Their selection at the time was impressive (remember, their kind of business has a high inventory turnover rate) and their knowledge of Apple products was as deep as one should expect. I was particularly impressed with their willingness to continually provide information while I did my own research...it turned out to be a few weeks between my initial inquiry and final purchase decision yet they remained pleasant, helpful and patient. I racked up a few good years of retail experience in my 20's and I'm not so sure I would have been as patient as they were while I continually bombarded them with seemingly left-field questions (I wasn't testing them, I was doing everything possible to ensure my homework was done so to speak). ***One final point...I purchased iPower Resale's proprietary 1-year service contract but I have not needed to avail myself of it. Horrible Horrible company! Ordered an 2012 mac pro from Amazon for 1299.99. Got an upgrade email offer, then shipping confirmation couple of days later. After about 4 days no updates on tracking info of where my item was. Send an email to their customer service department and they advised me my item was out of stock and back ordered. Because of the issue they wanted to offer me a discounted upgrade to a little bit faster processor which was a joke. After doing some research they had the same model on their ebay store for 1399.99 and with 10 of them available and they changed the price on Amazon to 1499.99! A big CHEERS to iPower Resale who saved my a*s big time. I figured it was time for a new one so off to the Mac store I went. I'm an advocate of the Mac store, but they don't do hard drives. At least not mine since I basically ruined my macbook by spilling a martini (straight up vodka) on my keyboard. As a natural blonde I had this brilliant idea to clean the keyboard with baby wipes. Bad idea, as I corroded to logic board among other things. But, hey, it looked good, it just wouldn't boot up...U Break We Fix on Telegraph Road in Ventura (they are awesome as well) suggested I call iPower. They had some funky hours that coincided with me never getting there in time from work, but if you call them, they will set up an appointment at any convenient time (for me it was the eve of Thanksgiving). When I got there, Christine greeted me and assured me that my files would be saved. She educated me on the mac air and was never in any way pushy or "salesy". She was knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and explained things in layman's terms. She answered every question I had and never came close to rolling her eyes when I asked questions that would make the average mac user fall over laughing. Their prices were very reasonable and the service is off the charts. A copy of every file and application was made and transferred to my new laptop. All I had to do was turn it on and everything was exactly as it was before. The mac store said I had to go to use an outside service to do this, and it would run anywhere between $750 - $2500. iPower Resale did it for free. Bottom line is I saved over $1000. Then we had issues with graphics card, shipped back to them for repar and now we cannot get our computer back from them. They have had it for 6 months!
