I visit iPIC Pasadena at least once a year and it's always a solid experience. The food and drinks are great, and the service is consistently attentive, which really elevates a night out at the movies. That said, on my most recent visit, I noticed the theater didn't feel as clean as it has in the past. The elevator carpet in particular could use a deep cleaning and had an unpleasant smell. Hoping this is just a temporary slip, because I've always enjoyed coming here and would love to see it back at its usual standard.

I absolutely LOVE watching movies at iPic! The service is always amazing and not having to be distracted by people being on their phones is THE BEST! Bonus points because they finally brought the blankets back without having to ask for them. The food is a bonus along with the lounge area to relax either before or after a movie. Just watched Mandelorian and Grogu; nice little set up to take pictures. I highly recommend treating yourself to this movie experience.

Best movie theater to go watch a movie, live the fact that's it's a limited amount of seats in each theater so that you can actually stretch out and relax while watching a movie. The food and drinks options here are great. Each month they feature a special drink and food item. I tried the citrus spiced mango drink which was nice. You will have a server that comes to you before the movie starts and you also have a button to get their attention. Service is great and never had an issue. The only disappointment is that they no longer offer free popcorn but I did see on the news that's they maybe filing for Bankruptcy. I hope that's not the case because I would hate to see them close down.

This is a great theater to check out a movie. The seat side food and beverage service is awesome. With electric reclining seats, limited capacity seating, blankets and call service button, it's everything you need for a great night out on a date. Upon entering, in the alley walkway, you show your ticket. Down one level is a pool table and comfy chairs. Down the next level is a huge lobby-lounge, bar and the theaters. There is a 2nd floor level above the bar for extra capacity. The food was decent. Tried the filet mignon sliders and lobster roll . Validated parking for 3 hours at the Colorado structure.

I will never take this theatre for granted again, especially if they find a buyer and survive! I am so lucky to live within walking distance to IPIC and have been coming at least twice a month to catch a new release. Service is fantastic and I love how many of the employees have worked here for many years and know who their regulars are by name. The food and drinks are great, along with the comfortable seats. Nothing beats catching a dinner and a movie in the middle of the week here. The theatre is still too warm for my liking, but I've remedied that with a neck fan :). Long live IPIC!!!

Favorite movie theater ever! Very comfortable movie experience. With dine in theaters popping up everywhere I still find myself going to ipic. Buy your tickets online, process is easy. When you get to the movie theater just check in with your front desk. There are 2 levels underneath the first floor. Escalators and elevators are both available. First underground floor is a pool and game room. The theaters are located 2 floors underneath the first floor. Next to the theaters there is a nice and large bar and seating area. Ambient lighting makes it comfortable on the eyes as well. Seating is limited per theater. You get your own little "cubby" like seating, almost like business class seating on flights. Seats fully recline and they give you a blanket as well. Good food and drinks make the experience better. The staff come by and grab your orders and food comes out promptly. Food is made well for a movie theater and are food items that you would typically order at a restaurant. Only suggestion would be to skip their desserts but main courses and appetizers are good. They validate parking up to 3 hours too!

I came here for a date night with my boyfriend to watch Eternity, and overall we had a great experience. The seating was extremely comfortable and felt very private--almost like you're in your own little bubble--which really added to the ambiance and made it feel perfect for a date night. The theater is located in Old Pasadena, which is a lively and historic area, and the overall setup inside felt upscale and well thought out. The recliner pods, blankets, and dine-in service made the experience feel elevated and different from a typical movie theater. Service was easy to access with the push of a button, and our server was attentive throughout. For food, we ordered the filet mignon sliders with fries, as well as the fish and chips with truffle fries--everything was flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the spiced pear and ginger mule recommended by our server, along with tea, and both were great additions to the meal. Overall, I really loved the movie-going experience here and would definitely come back. The only minor downside was that I was a little confused upon arrival, as you have to go down the escalator and there weren't many directional signs or arrows. That said, it didn't take away much from the experience, and I would still highly recommend this spot for a comfortable, upscale night out

This wasn't my first time at IPIC Pasadena, it was one of many, and I genuinely love this place. The atmosphere, comfort, and overall experience always keeps me coming back. Last night we went to watch the new SpongeBob movie and decided to order dinner as well. Staff here is very friendly. I tried the chicken tenders, which came with a variety of sauces including maple syrup, ranch, BBQ, and ketchup. The tenders were good and came with a generous portion of fries, which I appreciated, but it's probably not something I'd order again. I usually go for the quesadilla fajita meal, which is absolutely amazing and something I definitely recommend. For drinks, I ordered an amaretto sour and my boyfriend had a cocktail called something with tequila. Both drinks were super yummy and well made. Overall, IPIC continues to be one of my favorite theaters, great food options, tasty drinks, and an awesome movie-going experience. Highly recommend!

I've been coming to ipic for a few years now and finally got around to leaving a review. This is easily the best theater experience and I can't watch a movie anywhere else. I even decided to become a member. If you're looking for a place with good food, Great drinks, and privacy, there isn't a better place to watch a movie. The drinks are a bit pricey, about $16 for a cocktail, all of the drinks are really good. The only complaint I have is the margarita shaker for $45 is barely 2 drinks worth and there's wayyy too much ice in the shaker. You actually get more for your money if you just get two separate margaritas. The food is good overall, much better than any other theater food, but there are a few items I would avoid, fish and chips, pizza, and filet mignon sliders. The fish and chips were probably the worst thing I've had on the menu, the fish was almost inedible. The fries were warm crunch and well seasoned. The Filet Mignon sliders came cold and the meat was tough, it was still good but not worth $30. If they came hot these would've been much better. The pizza is most likely frozen pizza, tastes just like some digorino, it's not horrible but makes you second guess it for the price. I really enjoy the desserts here and getting the brownies with ice cream. The brownies come warm and melt in your mouth, those are definitely worth every penny. The pretzel and chicken wings are very good I'd recommend to order those. Overall this is still the best place to watch a movie in my opinion, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and good food/drinks. Takes the movie experience to the next level.

Such a great spot for date night! Try going early before 6 for their happy hour before your movie . There's a pool table you can play while waiting for your movie to start. Def want to take my family friends here

First timer here & it was such a cool experience. The theatre is so nice and such a vibe there's like so many floors, there's a pool table area. The seats recline and upon arrival on seat there is a blanket. We ordered a charcuterie board which was good, I enjoyed the crouton with jam & the cheese. I ordered a norma jeane and it was so good!!!Service was amazing. I would definitely come back again.

    When is happy hour?

Weekdays from 3-6pm in the Bar area!

Is the red velvet pudding still being served here?

Hi Leydi- I'm not sure if this is what you mean or not, but we have a Raspberry Red Velvet Cake (cream cheese frosting, raspberry sauce, raspberry whipped cream, raspberry, dark chocolate pearls). Thanks!

    What days/times is Happy Hour?

Do you guys ever pick up your phone?.....

They do when I’ve called, but it seems that the clerk at the ticket counter is responsible for answering the phones, so if several calls are coming through at once, I’d imagine some calls might slip through the cracks.

Do they still serve food after 10pm?

Hi Sharon - We serve food for at least 30 minutes after our last showtime of the day begins. Thank you!

Not at all, completely optional. If you do you can order at the bar or order from your seat

No more free popcorn for premium plus seat?

I don't believe so. However, I would call them and verify. I didn't know about this service if, in fact, it is still available..

    No it's not required.

Do we need a mask to go in?

Yes. you do. also while watching the film except when dining. better safe than sorry.

Just needing a recent update on requiring proof of vaccination, is it required for this location?

We are not required to obtain proof of vaccination at our Pasadena location, only our Westwood, LA location. Thank you for asking!

    Do you require covid vaccination?

It is not required at this time for this location. Thank you

Up to what age is a child ticket?

Like this movie was so great, it has redefined what I can expect from a Marvel movie, and movies in general. But this review is not about the latest Spider Man flick, it is about Alamo Drafhouse Cinema. And I firmly believe that one of the reasons why I loved Brand New Day so much is because I saw it in Alamo Drafthouse. The movie going experienced was enhanced, dare I say even honored, by this place. And, I might be wrong, but saying that a place made a movie better, is the loudest clap a moviegoer can give to a place that plays movies for goers. I am not sure how I first heard of Alamo Drafthouse, but I selected it as the venue that will host my movie going experience because I fe;t Spider Man deserved the stage. When I got there I was surprised by one sheer fact: I have walked by this place many a time, and I never knew that it was there. Which made me realize in a much broader way that what they say about LA is true--- one will never be bored here because there is always something new to do, and if you cannot find something new, than you might not be looking hard enough. The entrance to the place that holds Alamo also had a reminder that we might all need to hear: "say whatever it is, before it is too late." I entered and the place gave me Bing Bang Theory basement vibes if Howard or Sheldon had the funds to create a luxury movie theathre in their basements. The place was replete with a lot of different posters, and toys, and other memorabilia. If one is a flick nerd, then this place will be their slice of heaven with reclining sheets. I clipped just a few pictures of the different do-thats that this place. For instance, they had a wall full of Spider Man posters. As I walked past them and into my designated theatre I felt more excited to see the motion. Also, they had this area with tables and beers on tap with the Spider Man from the 90's playing. Which makes me believe that Spider Man 97 is coming along the pike cause this cartoon is not quitting. But I thought it was such a great touch to play this cartoon because it is responsible for having so many people fall in love with the wall crawler. It was appropriate nostalgia that frame the movie. So if I have not made it clear, being in this place is a small museum that reminds us why we love movies, beyond them offering escapism when times get tough. The movie rooms were small, quaint, and comfortable. I think most people would agree that a recliner while watching a movie may not be needed, but just like fudge on ice cream, it makes the treat better in a rich kind of way. Additionally, this place offers food delivered to your chair by a server. The besides me had a whole happy hour situation going on. He ordered three margaritas, a hamburger, fries and enjoyed his time. It was all about being good and happy at the movies. This place facilitated that. I was not hungry. But I was inspired by my neighbor to order a treat---- sea salt and vinegar popcorn laced with gold fish, and it was a nice little treat. First, I never had that combination before. It was great! The goldfish cheese taste was deepened. Not in every bite but the ones that were in the bottom of the sea(bowl). The second thing that they did, that another Yelper. comment on was, they "have a no-phone policy." Meaning that when the movie started to play they encouraged us not to use our phone or we might be asked to leave. We were told we can report people on our phone using their phone. And they addressed the irony of it--- and resolved it by saying just don't be a jerk. It as like putting a pretty ribbon bow in a package that was once difficult to wrap. The movie had previews but before that they had a comedian re-cap the journey to this movie and it was funny. The comedian wondered if DR. Strange was also the type of guy that buys liquor for a minor since he did a universe altering spell for one. Then before the movie they showed a video with Holland stating that this Spider Man Movie was created for "you." And to a much lower degree, for sure, this Yelp was written for you too.

Don't think too deeply. The actors, ambiance, decorations and room setups were well done. The ice room could've been colder with some dry ice. I do think it's pretty steep for a 35 minute escape maze and the behind the scenes was cool but short. The whole experience took us an hour, including bathroom breaks. I recommend going early because it seemed like the actors don't get a lot of breaks so I'm glad I got to see their more passionate acting when they're not tired yet. Despite growing up and living in the LA area for 10 years more than El Cid has been in existence,…read moreand knowing exactly where it is located -- having driven past it dozens of times -- 2/7/26 was my first time here. My wife found a Groupon special and we celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary here. It was an excellent choice! It's a great date-night experience, but not inexpensive . . . the regular price is $85 per person, plus beverage cost (mixed drinks are $16-$19, beers are $9-$10), so things can add up pretty quickly. After navigating traffic to get here, we were blessed to find a parking space directly across the street on Sunset at exactly 5:45 pm, although this is about 1/4 mile in either direction to the nearest crosswalk. So we carefully crossed mid-block, thankful for a couple of drivers who stopped on the east-bound side to let us finish our trek. Entering the restaurant, you have to travel down several sets of steps, so this is not an easy place for those who are physically challenged. Additionally, the handrails are rather low (I'm 5'9") which is yet another challenge. Once downstairs, there is one step up to the dining area and, dimly lit, it's easy to forget it's there when you leave, and several folks stumbled on the way out (but none actually fell). The dining area is intimate . . . with seating for only about 100 persons, and all seats have a pretty good view of the stage where the flamenco performance takes place. Not a good idea to try your luck and hope there are seats available if you haven't made a reservation. (Note that making reservations can be a little tricky. It doesn't seem like anyone answers the phone live, but they do respond to voice messages and are very pleasant to speak with over the phone). Shortly after being seated, we were served a bowl of vegetable lentil soup which was hot and tasty. Not long after that, our arugala salads were served. The citrus vinaigrette dressing was excellent, although we both agreed that we were disappointed that wasn't more salad on the plate -- there were two slices of fresh orange and a snip of apple underneath the arugala. We both ordered the salmon entree, and it was delicious! A generous 6 ounce (skin on) portion that was hot and perfectly finished. It rested on a small portion of lentils and the plate was decorated with what appeared to be a couple tablespoons of a Green Goddess type of sauce. The paella for two looked good, but mussels just aren't one of my "things." Dessert choices were churros with chocolate sauce, flan, or chia seed pudding. My wife chose the flan, and I had the chia seed pudding. Both were great, not overly sweet, and just the right portions. The hour-long flamenc show started exactly at 7pm and we were captivated by the dancers, the guitarist, and vocalist. These were not "spring chickens" and their routines were physically demanding. It was a delightful experience, and we would recommend it to anyone. The Groupon savings was significant, so look for it before making reservations.

When I order "fresh" popcorn, I expect it to be at least a bit warm but this popcorn was pretty cold. It's still decent, but buttery popcorn is just not as tasty when it's cold. We thought it was interesting and unusual that there was no one checking our tickets to let us into the theater. You could basically just walk into the theater without showing any proof of ticket. The staff seemed pretty attentive but then again I didn't order much. We were allowed into the theater about 5 minutes before the showing, but it makes sense that they probably have more to clean due to more plates, cups, etc. The bathrooms were okay, missing toilet seat covers and low on toilet paper, but they reeked of urine. My husband mentioned the men's restroom being very dirty. Also, I would've preferred it to be a bit cooler in the theater. They definitely had AC but with the summer heat, it would be nice to keep it a little cooler in the theater. The seats are definitely a bit worn out and some have been taped, but they are reclining and still decent. Overall, I'm not sure if I would return here but it's really not as bad as the other reviews made it seem. Maybe it depends on the day? I'm not sure.

Absolutely horrible. We came here for a dine in experience…read morefor our daughter to enjoy as her own treat. The food and drinks were about $200 dollars spent and it arrived all cold. It was not as pictured in there online catalog or even what was shown at the ordering kiosks or menus. The popcorn was stale. The jalepeno flavor we got for us adults was gross and soggy there was only 3 slices of jalepeno inside. It's like they just dumped juice on top and threw in whatever they had in the kitchen. The nacho cheese sauce had chunks of tomato inside and plastic. Yeah, there was Plastic inside the sauce. The churros were hard so my kid couldn't eat them. The burgers were decent however they poured that same nacho cheese all over it and it took away the good flavors with that weird nacho medicine melted crayon taste. The fries were the part that we tried to get through because we were hungry. The sweet tea we ordered was not regular sweet tea it tastes like watered down grapefruit and jasmine flowers. It was chemical tasting. My daughter wanted mozzarella sticks and they came rock hard and cold. The food was awful for almost 200 dollars! The lobby was pretty when we came in I was like wow how awesome, but when we got into the auditorium the seats had food and napkins popcorn and trash on the seats and floor still. I was a manager for another well known theater so seeing this let me know the staff isn't doing their job at all. I kindly asked for staff to come wipe down our seats and trays to which she saw the mess and said oh geez okay yeah yeah let me come back and wipe it down. Our original seats had nacho cheese on the seat part and the arm rests so of course we're NOT sitting down. We were waiting for 15 minutes for them to come clean it. in we decide to move to another row since there is no one to else in the auditorium to watch the movie . When we moved, we saw that row also still had trash and sticky trays of spilled icee drinks from whoever previously sat there. She came in and started spraying the cleaning solutions on the trays with no warning and sprayed my husbands shorts which caused bleach spots now. She sprayed over the drinks which I hurried to grab my daughters but couldn't get my cup in time. That was very upsetting because why wouldn't you say something and let me move my food/drinks first?? Also hello?? Spray the rag away from guests faces ?? We already spent so much and traveled hours away to come here and see this and make it special for our daughter so we stayed through the movie entirely. When we were leaving there were roaches everywhere and a random centipede looking worm on the staircase. The trash cans were overfilled and the restrooms were so bad! We will never come back here again.

A review of Creep x Ghosts 2024…read more I had always heard about this company over the years, but never had a chance to check it out until this year. I had considered going to another haunt, but the prices were out of my range. Creep was a comfortable $70 per person and I was lucky to grab some tickets as they were selling out. I really didn't know what to expect, but the least I can say is that I was completely blown away. The absolutely expert crafting of this experience, everything from the story to the acting to the timing to the setting, was incredible. First I was curious, then unsettled, then worried, then SCARED, and then nearly welling up with tears. These actors are so committed and every character feels so full. The way they looked into my eyes had me deeply moved and I was immersed for the entire hour we were inside. Every person in my group was interacted with and enveloped in the story. This sort of art needs to be deeply appreciated and supported in Los Angeles and I'm so grateful to all the people that put their hearts and souls into this. Thank you JFI Productions!

There were two sections, the welcoming B&B in partnership with CBS and the show 'Ghosts' which smelled like pumpkin spice and everything nice, with the occasional possession and haunting. Then you're taken across the street for the real show and that's where Creep shines. The poetic storylines, the terrific acting and staging, the interaction, and new ideas all reminded me of the early days of Delusion which is a huge compliment. Your group of 8 is small and intimate and you feel absolutely immersed. Be prepared to be touched, whether you are taking an actor's hand or they are gently leading you somewhere, but nothing over the top. I'm so glad it's back and as good a Creep LA as ever was! Parking is neighborhood street parking, not best area but you should be able to find something.

I didn't have to search very far because the Landmark Theatre filled the gap nicely. Sure, it feels like walking a tightrope to balance my own drink and glizzy to my seat everytime and I didn't have my very own pod to cocoon myself in, but their unlimited refill soda machine and friendly concession/ticketing staff more than makes up for the luxury conveniences I was once accustomed to :~D. Also, they have the best all-beef hot dog and seasoned fries in the game (perfect plumpness, length, and flavor) and where else can I get a Coke Zero Cherry?!?! They offer a selection of the latest releases (including live Metropolitan Opera simulcasts), and they also show retro programming on Tuesdays. I can usually find free street parking in walking distance, and there's also a nearby city lot where you can pay by the hour depending on how long you need to park. The theaters have reclinable seats that are comfortable and plush. They also offer a selection of snacks and drinks (including alcohol) though I find their popcorn's texture to be mediocre. There can sometimes be some noise bleeding into a theater that's near a room playing a particularly loud movie, but I generally have a good movie watching experience here.
