After staying away from IPIC Pasadena for a while my man and I decided to give it another shot since we used to really enjoy coming here. Sadly the second we walked in we were hit with an overwhelming smell like someone had drowned the carpets in Febreze. We sat down and my fiancé ordered the Boss Burger with no lettuce or tomato and an extra patty. My food and appetizer came out first and his arrived a full 30 minutes later with lettuce and tomato. We had saved our appetite all day only for the server to say oops the kitchen is closed sorry we can't remake it. The attempt to make it right was four dry brownies which just felt like an afterthought. Ten dollars for a watered down Diet Coke over twenty for a burger and service that left us feeling completely unvalued. We left disappointed and won't be returning. read more

Not mind-blowingly flavorful, but still enjoyable. Truffle fries, just get it. It's so addictive lol. Both were great movie-viewing foods. This is such a cute and unique theater. It has a pool table and a full service bar and food! The theater was not too busy nor packed, it was just right. Guests were hanging out in the bar area, eating, drinking and watching the Laker game. The theater is cozy. They have reclining seats, a blanket, and a small table from which to eat from. Very romantic and comfortable. The pool table was not busy, we played a few games until they informed us they were closing. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. This is definitely a good spot to come on a date night as it is spacious enough to intimately enjoy the amenities iPic has to offer. I definitely recommend iPic! read more

Yes another iPic theater under my belt. Let me heavily recommend to come at minimum an hour before your movie to enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance of this place. It's very chic and cozy. My wife and I came and decided to eat before the movie because we don't favor eating in the dark. The bartender was very friendly and let us know if we don't finish our food we can get it delivered to our seats. That was a cool thing to know. We both had some drinks. And ordered the chicken and waffles. Which were tasty. So I just visited this theater, first time for my boyfriend and I. We ordered food and beer and it took forever to get to us. I actually had to go get it myself. The worst through was a bartender named Tony was super nice to me at first, and decided to be mean and disrespectful when we closed our tab. My sister and I came to watch A Man Called Otto, and everything went very smoothly from checking in to ordering food. Things have changed since Ive last been to the Ipic Theater. Actually I hadn't been out in two years and I was looking forward to good service, free popcorn, my blanket and my sweet potato fries but it wasn't so! No more free popcorn, a small is $4 and a large is $7, add a $1 for churro, or cheddar cheese topping. It was good though. I asked for two ice waters and he took forever to only bring me one. Both times he came to bring me stuff was during intense scenes so it made me jump! That was a little annoying. Don't get me wrong, he apologized and he was actually nice, but I've seen them wait. He did it again when he came to ask about last call and usually they bring the check before the movie ends and the movie had ended and the credits were rolling and no check. So because they electronically take your card, I thought they would only charge for food and tax, not give themselves a huge tip and I am not happy about it. I am giving a three because the food was good, but I ate from the kids menu for portion size and didn't order desserts or drinks, just water and so I was surprised to get home and see my bill was $5 less $100???? Nah, this was a mother's day gift and that's not cool. Now maybe it's just me but something is not adding up or rather down lol. Anyway, I will be calling in the morning but I guess I won't be back. See ya Ipic, it was nice while it lasted. Also, my booth was raggedy, one of the panels was missing. IPIC is an awesome way to watch your favorite movies! I love their bed seating at the front of the theater and enjoy the fact that they offer blankets. I feel so comfortable here! The reason why I say only 4 stars is because everything gets so expensive for what you get once you enter the establishment. The cocktails are not very strong although you're paying for them to be, and the food is pricy--decent, but not worth the higher charges. All in all, my favorite theater but it all adds up pretty quickly for what you're getting. read more

I am NOT a movie person. I generally dislike movie theatres since they seem sort of constrictive with the endless aisles and other patrons locking you into the aisles. Additionally, I can always count on rude people to talk or be on their phones to ruin my viewing experience. I'd rather go see my dentist honestly. LOL. Fast forward to IPIC, my bff wanted to see a movie and I told her I found IPIC because I want to avoid all of the standard movie theatre hassles. I purchased tickets for 2 and arrived 20 minutes early. I was greeted by the super helpful staff. I was allowed inside and they printed one ticket to keep at the front when my friend arrives. My friend arrived 20-30 minutes late (sigh), but she was still allowed into the theater since I was already inside. I enjoyed the pod seating and the less amount of people in the theatre. We weren't enough to other people to be affected by their phone-checking or slight talking, so that was awesome. We watched the underwhelming Nun 2 (it was this or Paw Patrol). Food was OK and the drinks were OK, but the service, ambiance, and the set-up was worth it. I will only watch movies at IPIC moving forward IF there is a movie that warrants my attention. read more

OMG I haven't been living. IPic is the supreme movie experience. I don't know how I will ever go anywhere else after coming here. Each seating area is like a little first class pod. On top of that, there are little blankets tucked away behind the seats should you need them. The only negative I would say is that you need to book movies well in advance if you want to see something opening weekend. I thought I was being early by booking a month out only to find out the 6pm showing was completely booked. Had to go for 10:30pm. Since there are less seats due to the pod set up, movies book out fast. We had eaten at a restaurant prior to the movie so I didn't get any food or drinks but if all looked good. There is also a full bar, pool table and lounge with lots of couches to sit before your theater opens. All around great experience and I am forever spoiled. Can never go back to AMC after this lol read more

I know I can get max two popcorns (46 oz in size) per visit per ticketed guest. I asked for my free popcorn at the beginning of the film and got a bag that wasn't fresh and wasn't filled to the top. (See photo) (I used to work in a movie theater so I know how the bags are supposed to be filled.) Then, about mid way through the movie, I asked for the second bag and received a smaller size popcorn. Definitely wasn't 46 oz. One thing I enjoy doing on my birthday is going to a nice theater and catching a movie. It had been quite a few years since we visited IPIC in Pasadena, and ordered our tickets online for a showing at 3:15 on a work day. After entering the theater, we were greeted and asked for our name and were immediately found and notified about the escalator being serviced, which was no problem for us. They also have an elevator if needed. We were given the WiFi password and notified about the cell service not working down stairs. He was 100% correct once we were down by the bar, there was zero cell service which is awesome. We were a bit early and ordered two drinks after chatting with the bartender who was nice and made some suggestions and alterations based on our preferences. We went into the theater and I was surprised to find these pods with privacy enclosing two recliners. It was great seeing a movie where you don't have to see any other people other than who you came with. The movie was great and we were on our way to our next stop. Price wise it's not the cheapest option, but could be just what you're looking for if tired of everyone texting during movies at AMC or Edward's. A great option if you have a day off during the week and want to avoid crowds. read more

My daughter gave my wife and I an IPIC gift card for Christmas last year. We finally got the chance to go. Making a reservation for the movie was very easy on the website. When the greeter found out it was our 1st time there she escorted us to our seats, and showed us how to order food. The food was excellent. We had coconut shrimp, fried chicken and fajita quesadilla. First off, the theater and seating is amazing. However, it's the service provided by the staff and manager that's questionable. The attendant that escorts you to your seats took our movie tickets, as well as our parking ticket. I pushed the "service" button a couple times and told each time that they'll look into it. Nothing ever became of it. It wasn't until I refused to sign the credit card receipt until my parking ticket was retuned. Eventually a manager got involved and said he'll call over to the parking garage. While he was on the phone with them, he told them I lost my parking ticket, when in fact his staff member took it and never returned it. We tried exiting the parking garage, but the attendant had no idea about the manager calling over there. It wasn't until people started honking and getting annoyed how long it was taking. Eventually he pulled something out of his pocket to raise the bar for us to exit. read more

From a movie experience perspective, 4.5 stars. From a food perspective, 2 stars. Total of 4 stars because hey, it's a movie theater and not a restaurant. Parking is available in One Colorado garage for $1 per 20 min, with a daily max of $8. IPIC supposedly validates for 3 hours, but when we paid, it was still $8. I don't know. Love that you can hang out in the lounge and play pool before and after the movie. The private booth is super nice, as are the reclining chairs and blanket. Wish you could pull the food tray farther back so you can eat while reclined. Loaded Fajita Steak Fries- 2 stars. Overall pretty bland and the steak was extremely well done (as in overcooked) and tough. The fries themselves were okay. In the future I'd just order fries with nothing else. Hot Pepper Calamari Fritti- 1 star. The most overcooked/overfried and tough calamari I have ever eaten. Not really a fan of the gochujang, and I'm Asian. The flavors just didn't go together well. We asked for some tartar sauce instead. The photo looks like big portions, but the calamari was sitting on a bed of shredded lettuce. Shortly after, my wife and I placed our order at approximately 7:00 PM: 4 turkey slider with truffle fries and two fountain drinks. Within two minutes, our drinks were delivered--but that's where the service took a nosedive. After waiting 25 minutes, I noticed that other guests, who arrived after us, were receiving their food while we were still waiting. I flagged down an attendant to inquire about our order. He said he would check on it. Another 20 minutes passed, and still nothing. I called the attendant again, and it took him an additional 15 minutes just to return to our table. By the time someone finally showed up, they were bringing our food--which was cold. Absolutely unacceptable. Despite the food being cold, I ate it because I was genuinely hungry--a decision I quickly regretted. Within minutes, I began experiencing stomach discomfort. A word of advice: the kitchen staff and servers seriously need to understand the concept of urgency. It is beyond unreasonable for it to take nearly an hour to serve four sliders and a side of fries. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of acknowledgment--not even an apology for the excessive wait or the cold food. This experience was incredibly disappointing. Tickets are $21 per person, not including the food. There are so many food and drink options to choose from, and they're all pretty good for the most part. Their seats are divided in sections of two, so if you come with an odd number of people you'll be split up. The seats are very private and you aren't able to see the people next to you so it's a perfect date spot too. I have gone to this theater on several occasions. This past time I went to see the Nun II. Which is a great movie. I think the biggest problem I have with this theater is the bathrooms. I went with a group of 4 including myself; I needed to use the bathroom and it was absolutely filthy. Half the stalls had no toilet paper or seat covers, the other half had bodily matter that should've need flushed down the toilet on the seats themselves. Granted it was towards the end of the night so I am sure that employees had side work to do, but it was off putting knowing that someone did not occasionally look at the bathroom to check if people actually flushed. The smell in there was terrible as well. Which is why I gave it a 4/5 stars. The Bar, Pool table and movie theater itself AMAZING. It's hidden from the road so it can be difficult to find if you are not from the area. The theater has pods for seatings perfect for intimate dine in date night. I find that each pod was spacious and comfortable. Ticket prices are cheaper than AMC theater pricing at $23 per person with the processing fee. The food itself is delicious so there is literally nothing to complain about. Popcorn in nice and salty, the large size popcorn is more than enough for two people. Mozzarella sticks are shaped like half moons, but are cheesy gooey nonetheless paired with fresh pizza sauce. You are offered blankets while watching the movie in case you get cold. The theater is extremely clean and food is delivered to your seat. Servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and over the top friendly. Will never go back to AMC or Regal as the small theaters are great, spacious and intimate. You can hardly hear if someone is having a conversation in the other pod next to you which means no disruptions for movie goers if you hate people talking. I am not sure if there is an age restriction because this seems more like an adult theater because the theater never plays G or PG movies (Except for Barbie). Every bad review you read about this place is dead wrong. It all starts with the very clear communication that comes early and often. Finding the parking lot was super easy. I received at least 4 notices on where to park. I had zero problems with my credit card. once again it was communicated early and often this was cashless and a $75 hold would be placed on your credit card if you opened a tab. We did not open a tab and paid for all our food, bottle of wine and drinks without any issues. The food was good and The Color Purple was the best musical film I've seen. I will be back. read more

It was hard to focus, and I wasn't sure if their parents were even there. No one from the staff addressed it either, which left the theater feeling more like a babysitting station than a movie-going experience. I did mention it to the staff at the entrance, and while they acknowledged it, nothing was done to improve the situation. I went online to their website and there's no email or info to let their management team know, so maybe they'll see this? My husband and I went here last Friday to see Oppenheimer. This was our first experience at a dine in movie theater. We were not disappointed. And I'm pretty sure we'll only go here from now on. Definitely worth the drive from Valencia. Upon arrival, you are greeted and helped by two very friendly people. As you go down the escalator, even more friendly employees to help you look for your theatre. Once you enter your theatre, you are greeted by your server. I wish I could remember our's name. But we absolutely loved him. He was so helpful and had great customer service. We really enjoyed the food. Burger, quesadilla, and pretzels - all great! We loved how comfortable the seats were. The Boss burger was a 7/10 my husband said it was ok Crispy mozzarella sticks 10/10 it was really good Street tacos.... It wasn't good to me 5/10 because it's made with flour tortillas not corn and their guacamole isn't freshly made it's more like a paste from a grocery store. Last but not least I changed my order from the street tacos to the steak quesadilla I took it home because the movie was ending, it was good 8/10, our waiter Lorin did a excellent job. I had a great time watching the new Beetlejuice movie. The front desk & bartenders were great but the parking information was not clear and it was frustrating trying to figure out which parking structure they used because they did not provide an address, just the cross streets and there are multiple parking structures within that space. Even though the email states that parking is validated, I ended up paying for parking because I was not at the right structure and no one answered the phone when I called to confirm which structure it was. Without an actual Address of the parking structure how are we supposed to know where to park? That was kind of frustrating. But it was cool inside, not as cool as the photos make it look like.
