I visit iPIC Pasadena at least once a year and it's always a solid experience. The food and drinks are great, and the service is consistently attentive, which really elevates a night out at the movies. That said, on my most recent visit, I noticed the theater didn't feel as clean as it has in the past. The elevator carpet in particular could use a deep cleaning and had an unpleasant smell. Hoping this is just a temporary slip, because I've always enjoyed coming here and would love to see it back at its usual standard.

I absolutely LOVE watching movies at iPic! The service is always amazing and not having to be distracted by people being on their phones is THE BEST! Bonus points because they finally brought the blankets back without having to ask for them. The food is a bonus along with the lounge area to relax either before or after a movie. Just watched Mandelorian and Grogu; nice little set up to take pictures. I highly recommend treating yourself to this movie experience.

Best movie theater to go watch a movie, live the fact that's it's a limited amount of seats in each theater so that you can actually stretch out and relax while watching a movie. The food and drinks options here are great. Each month they feature a special drink and food item. I tried the citrus spiced mango drink which was nice. You will have a server that comes to you before the movie starts and you also have a button to get their attention. Service is great and never had an issue. The only disappointment is that they no longer offer free popcorn but I did see on the news that's they maybe filing for Bankruptcy. I hope that's not the case because I would hate to see them close down.

This is a great theater to check out a movie. The seat side food and beverage service is awesome. With electric reclining seats, limited capacity seating, blankets and call service button, it's everything you need for a great night out on a date. Upon entering, in the alley walkway, you show your ticket. Down one level is a pool table and comfy chairs. Down the next level is a huge lobby-lounge, bar and the theaters. There is a 2nd floor level above the bar for extra capacity. The food was decent. Tried the filet mignon sliders and lobster roll . Validated parking for 3 hours at the Colorado structure.

I will never take this theatre for granted again, especially if they find a buyer and survive! I am so lucky to live within walking distance to IPIC and have been coming at least twice a month to catch a new release. Service is fantastic and I love how many of the employees have worked here for many years and know who their regulars are by name. The food and drinks are great, along with the comfortable seats. Nothing beats catching a dinner and a movie in the middle of the week here. The theatre is still too warm for my liking, but I've remedied that with a neck fan :). Long live IPIC!!!

Favorite movie theater ever! Very comfortable movie experience. With dine in theaters popping up everywhere I still find myself going to ipic. Buy your tickets online, process is easy. When you get to the movie theater just check in with your front desk. There are 2 levels underneath the first floor. Escalators and elevators are both available. First underground floor is a pool and game room. The theaters are located 2 floors underneath the first floor. Next to the theaters there is a nice and large bar and seating area. Ambient lighting makes it comfortable on the eyes as well. Seating is limited per theater. You get your own little "cubby" like seating, almost like business class seating on flights. Seats fully recline and they give you a blanket as well. Good food and drinks make the experience better. The staff come by and grab your orders and food comes out promptly. Food is made well for a movie theater and are food items that you would typically order at a restaurant. Only suggestion would be to skip their desserts but main courses and appetizers are good. They validate parking up to 3 hours too!

I came here for a date night with my boyfriend to watch Eternity, and overall we had a great experience. The seating was extremely comfortable and felt very private--almost like you're in your own little bubble--which really added to the ambiance and made it feel perfect for a date night. The theater is located in Old Pasadena, which is a lively and historic area, and the overall setup inside felt upscale and well thought out. The recliner pods, blankets, and dine-in service made the experience feel elevated and different from a typical movie theater. Service was easy to access with the push of a button, and our server was attentive throughout. For food, we ordered the filet mignon sliders with fries, as well as the fish and chips with truffle fries--everything was flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the spiced pear and ginger mule recommended by our server, along with tea, and both were great additions to the meal. Overall, I really loved the movie-going experience here and would definitely come back. The only minor downside was that I was a little confused upon arrival, as you have to go down the escalator and there weren't many directional signs or arrows. That said, it didn't take away much from the experience, and I would still highly recommend this spot for a comfortable, upscale night out

Such a great spot for date night! Try going early before 6 for their happy hour before your movie . There's a pool table you can play while waiting for your movie to start. Def want to take my family friends here

This wasn't my first time at IPIC Pasadena, it was one of many, and I genuinely love this place. The atmosphere, comfort, and overall experience always keeps me coming back. Last night we went to watch the new SpongeBob movie and decided to order dinner as well. Staff here is very friendly. I tried the chicken tenders, which came with a variety of sauces including maple syrup, ranch, BBQ, and ketchup. The tenders were good and came with a generous portion of fries, which I appreciated, but it's probably not something I'd order again. I usually go for the quesadilla fajita meal, which is absolutely amazing and something I definitely recommend. For drinks, I ordered an amaretto sour and my boyfriend had a cocktail called something with tequila. Both drinks were super yummy and well made. Overall, IPIC continues to be one of my favorite theaters, great food options, tasty drinks, and an awesome movie-going experience. Highly recommend!

I've been coming to ipic for a few years now and finally got around to leaving a review. This is easily the best theater experience and I can't watch a movie anywhere else. I even decided to become a member. If you're looking for a place with good food, Great drinks, and privacy, there isn't a better place to watch a movie. The drinks are a bit pricey, about $16 for a cocktail, all of the drinks are really good. The only complaint I have is the margarita shaker for $45 is barely 2 drinks worth and there's wayyy too much ice in the shaker. You actually get more for your money if you just get two separate margaritas. The food is good overall, much better than any other theater food, but there are a few items I would avoid, fish and chips, pizza, and filet mignon sliders. The fish and chips were probably the worst thing I've had on the menu, the fish was almost inedible. The fries were warm crunch and well seasoned. The Filet Mignon sliders came cold and the meat was tough, it was still good but not worth $30. If they came hot these would've been much better. The pizza is most likely frozen pizza, tastes just like some digorino, it's not horrible but makes you second guess it for the price. I really enjoy the desserts here and getting the brownies with ice cream. The brownies come warm and melt in your mouth, those are definitely worth every penny. The pretzel and chicken wings are very good I'd recommend to order those. Overall this is still the best place to watch a movie in my opinion, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and good food/drinks. Takes the movie experience to the next level.

First timer here & it was such a cool experience. The theatre is so nice and such a vibe there's like so many floors, there's a pool table area. The seats recline and upon arrival on seat there is a blanket. We ordered a charcuterie board which was good, I enjoyed the crouton with jam & the cheese. I ordered a norma jeane and it was so good!!!Service was amazing. I would definitely come back again.

One of the things that made this theater special was the full-service experience. The 80s movie-themed atmosphere, extensive food and drink menu, and attentive servers made it feel like much more than a typical theater. Recently, they've switched to online ordering, and it has really changed the experience. Instead of quickly looking through a menu and placing an order with a server, you can end up spending much of the 30-minute pre-show period staring at your phone. That defeats part of the reason I come here in the first place. I've also noticed that the menu has been scaled back significantly. Some of my favorite items, including the breakfast sandwiches and other offerings, have disappeared. I used to recommend this theater not only because of its movie-loving atmosphere but also because of the quality and variety of the food. I don't come here for standard movie-theater snacks. I come for the great food, good beer and cocktails, nostalgic atmosphere, and overall experience. If the new ownership continues cutting back on what made this place unique, they risk losing loyal regulars. At that point, I might as well go to AMC if I'm just looking for typical movie-theater food. I hope management listens to customer feedback and preserves the qualities that made this theater stand out.

The no-phone policy and retro, old-school movie experience made it feel like you were truly there to enjoy the film and be present in the moment. The paper menus and traditional ordering system added to that experience and helped make every visit feel special. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing. Alamo has switched to QR code ordering on your phone, which completely takes away from the phone-free atmosphere that made this theater stand out in the first place. My boyfriend and I don't get to go to the movies often, so we were really looking forward to that classic Alamo experience. Instead, it felt like just another theater asking guests to be on their phones. The service also felt very impersonal. The servers seemed robotic, simply dropping off items and walking away. We were given drinks without straws, and there was very little interaction or attention to detail. The drinks themselves were honestly not good at all. I also ordered chicken tenders and fries and was surprised to learn that dipping sauces cost extra. While 50 cents isn't a huge amount, it feels odd that sauce isn't included with a meal like that. The movie itself was great, but what made Alamo special wasn't just the movie... it was the overall experience. Sadly, that unique feeling seems to be fading. I hope they reconsider some of these changes because they're starting to lose the magic that made so many people choose Alamo over other theaters.

My wife found a Groupon special and we celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary here. It was an excellent choice! It's a great date-night experience, but not inexpensive . . . the regular price is $85 per person, plus beverage cost (mixed drinks are $16-$19, beers are $9-$10), so things can add up pretty quickly. After navigating traffic to get here, we were blessed to find a parking space directly across the street on Sunset at exactly 5:45 pm, although this is about 1/4 mile in either direction to the nearest crosswalk. So we carefully crossed mid-block, thankful for a couple of drivers who stopped on the east-bound side to let us finish our trek. Entering the restaurant, you have to travel down several sets of steps, so this is not an easy place for those who are physically challenged. Additionally, the handrails are rather low (I'm 5'9") which is yet another challenge. Once downstairs, there is one step up to the dining area and, dimly lit, it's easy to forget it's there when you leave, and several folks stumbled on the way out (but none actually fell). The dining area is intimate . . . with seating for only about 100 persons, and all seats have a pretty good view of the stage where the flamenco performance takes place. Not a good idea to try your luck and hope there are seats available if you haven't made a reservation. (Note that making reservations can be a little tricky. It doesn't seem like anyone answers the phone live, but they do respond to voice messages and are very pleasant to speak with over the phone). Shortly after being seated, we were served a bowl of vegetable lentil soup which was hot and tasty. Not long after that, our arugala salads were served. The citrus vinaigrette dressing was excellent, although we both agreed that we were disappointed that wasn't more salad on the plate -- there were two slices of fresh orange and a snip of apple underneath the arugala. We both ordered the salmon entree, and it was delicious! A generous 6 ounce (skin on) portion that was hot and perfectly finished. It rested on a small portion of lentils and the plate was decorated with what appeared to be a couple tablespoons of a Green Goddess type of sauce. The paella for two looked good, but mussels just aren't one of my "things." Dessert choices were churros with chocolate sauce, flan, or chia seed pudding. My wife chose the flan, and I had the chia seed pudding. Both were great, not overly sweet, and just the right portions. The hour-long flamenc show started exactly at 7pm and we were captivated by the dancers, the guitarist, and vocalist. These were not "spring chickens" and their routines were physically demanding. It was a delightful experience, and we would recommend it to anyone. The Groupon savings was significant, so look for it before making reservations.

Not any better than the old Monrovia LOOK…read more Same company, same problems. Sometimes the wrong food served, other times cold food served, weird gloopy hard cheese, etc. Most auditorium seats are in disrepair, seat numbers missing, crumbs everywhere, literal duct tape on some of the seats to hold them together. 50/50 whether your seat will recline or not. Some auditoriums are actually HOT - maybe they can't turn on the air conditioning? Screens are also sort of dim and dull, just like I expect from LOOK. I'm not sad that the Monrovia location closed down and this is the only LOOK I can come to. I'm sad that I have this annual subscription at all. I am trying to get my money's worth.

There were two sections, the welcoming B&B in partnership with CBS and the show 'Ghosts' which smelled like pumpkin spice and everything nice, with the occasional possession and haunting. Then you're taken across the street for the real show and that's where Creep shines. The poetic storylines, the terrific acting and staging, the interaction, and new ideas all reminded me of the early days of Delusion which is a huge compliment. Your group of 8 is small and intimate and you feel absolutely immersed. Be prepared to be touched, whether you are taking an actor's hand or they are gently leading you somewhere, but nothing over the top. I'm so glad it's back and as good a Creep LA as ever was! Parking is neighborhood street parking, not best area but you should be able to find something.

A review of Creep x Ghosts 2024…read more I had always heard about this company over the years, but never had a chance to check it out until this year. I had considered going to another haunt, but the prices were out of my range. Creep was a comfortable $70 per person and I was lucky to grab some tickets as they were selling out. I really didn't know what to expect, but the least I can say is that I was completely blown away. The absolutely expert crafting of this experience, everything from the story to the acting to the timing to the setting, was incredible. First I was curious, then unsettled, then worried, then SCARED, and then nearly welling up with tears. These actors are so committed and every character feels so full. The way they looked into my eyes had me deeply moved and I was immersed for the entire hour we were inside. Every person in my group was interacted with and enveloped in the story. This sort of art needs to be deeply appreciated and supported in Los Angeles and I'm so grateful to all the people that put their hearts and souls into this. Thank you JFI Productions!
