At that point, there had been no communication, no updates, and no way to reach anyone. It has now been four months. I still do not have my computer, no clear explanation of what's going on, and no way to get in touch. My kids have been asking about it, and it's incredibly frustrating to be left in the dark after paying upfront. This has been a very disappointing and stressful experience.

They were able to replace the screen within 15-20 minutes and it cost about $220. This is very reasonable and better than paying for a new phone. The staff were friendly and did a fantastic job with the replacement. The phone looks brand new! I strongly advise calling the store ahead of time to make sure they have the correct model and color of replacement screen for your phone BEFORE walking in. I needed a screen for a gold S7 and they didn't have it in stock when I initially went it. But they took my number so they could call me when the screen came in. Lucky for me, they had a delivery later that day and called to let me know it was in. They replaced the screen without issue and it looks as good as new. I do have to mention that it appears they use screens from used phones. When the screen has a white background, I can see an imprint of an error message in the upper left hand corner of the screen. It is probably an error message from a previous phone that was burned into the screen. While it isn't apparent on backgrounds other than white, or even to other people, it is still there. Overall, I'm happy to overlook that small imperfection in order to have an intact screen for a fraction of the replacement cost.

A month later I called sony and told them about this and they told me no such thing needed be done just because the belt broke. I found out that my CD player actually was worth 1200.00 as a classic being sold on amazon and that was what led me to call sony. I found out that he shorted out the pre-amp on my amp when he took it apart.
