Some have been great but have also come with a ridiculously high price point while others have been down right horrible and didn't know much other than mounting TVs. In this business its hard to find someone with good balance of quality work and a decent price point. Well enter Joe and CAV installations! I happenstance stumbled upon his yelp page which was buried 5 pages deep because most other installers were flaking out on me and am glad I did!! For Joe this is not just a business but also a passion. He literally can talk about the advancements in Audio/Video and home theater all day long which he did with me even though it was nearly 7pm on a Monday night. The thing that I was most impressed with was the fact that he is a perfectionist and if something didn't look or sound right to him he would make sure it did. He has an eye and ear that is more fine tuned for this than we consumers do and he'll let you know it if it isn't right even though we may think it is. He even went as far as calibrating the projector to THX certs on his Ipad for free!! He charged me for 2 hours labor even though he was here for well over 3 hours! I apologize for the long review but Joe deserves an in depth review because he indeed is a diamond in the rough. If you want an installer who knows his craft to perfection, a colossal professional, timely work and at a great, affordable price point give Joe a call. I doubt you'll be disappointed! James walked me through the best available options and expressed amazing communication throughout the scheduling phase including emailing customized diagrams of optimal television placements. The job itself took four hours, exactly the time commitment James said it would. He was wonderful throughout; professional, courteous and meticulous in his craft. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished results and already working with James to bring him back into our home soon for speaker installation in a few other rooms. I was told on the phone by ADT that my equipment would be free. I told them how many doors and…read morewindows we have and that we need a motion detector too. I assumed the monitored fire and smoke alarm may cost something because they would not tell me how much it costs on the phone. I set up for the technician to come out. He informed me that the equipment was not free like I was told. It would be just over 2,500 dollars and that was after I was given a 600-dollar credit. So, in total my system would cost a bit over 3,100-dollars. I asked for another option and after trimming back the system that he designed it came to around 1,000-dollars. I am so happy that I had the foresight to not sign the contract before the technician came out or I would be stuck with a huge bill that I was not expecting. My advice would be to get a clear and detailed list of what will be installed and how much it will be before signing any contract with ADT.

Do not sign a contract with ADT just buy the ADT sign off of amazon, you're better off. They will not let you unsubscribe and just keep charging your account. I had to cancel my subscription 4 separate times and the best part was I just got billed again last month for an "operation fee". The best service I received from this company was after I contacted the BBB. For you and anyone you love DO NOT GET ADT.
