I was experiencing a problem with half the electrical circuits going off and the other half were…read morestill working. This began the day before the tropical storm Henri hit our area. The power came back up so I did not call anyone, thinking it might have something to do with the weather. The day after the storm we lost half power again. The air conditioners all stopped working. I pulled up Home Advisor as I had used it before. I reached out to 4 different companies. I almost immediately received a call from David at Electricians R Us, David asked me to describe my problem which I did. He said that my problem sounded like an emergency situation and offered to come out that same night. It was already 5 pm and he arrived within an hour. He discovered a bad wire on the outside of our house. As it was raining pretty good he said he could be back the next day and fix the problem. As promised he returned with another of his helpers. They replaced the wire and the bad connection within a half hour my problem was fixed. David was extremely helpful in quickly and efficiently resolving my problem. I am so appreciative that he was willing to come out so quickly especially the day after being hit with a tropical storm in our area. Third, they actually do schedule these appointments and maintain communication via email, texts, etc. This is a marked improvement over the guy you can barely hear in the middle of a job who never calls you back. Fourth, the electrician who came was competent, timely, and flexible (he came a day earlier than scheduled). Other reviewers here and elsewhere have complained about costs. I had no issues whatsoever. The price was reasonable for the electrical work he wound up doing. He explained some parts of the electrical system that I didn't understand and clarified that I didn't need any extra work done. Obviously I appreciated that candor. He was also a pretty good dude, easy to relate/talk to, and I always prefer dealing with friendly contractors than sour ones. So in sum, this is a professional outfit and what I've come to expect in the 21st century, with an office staff, scheduling software, and prompt, helpful specialists--but sadly it's something I don't often find in the world of contracting.
