We also called the electrician that installed our whole house generator a couple of years ago. We left msg with that dude several times, & he didn't even have the courtesy to return the call & say sorry, too busy! Anyway, Romano was one of 3 who returned our call. Chris wasnt able to come by the same day but said he would call us the next day. The other 2 electricans left us with a "I'll call you next week if I have the time to come by" vibe. Translates to; let me see how my cash flow is going, & If I need money, I'll go by. Not Chris! He called us back within 30 min of our original call. Apologized he couldn't make it that day, but would be here the next day by a certain time. AND HE WAS! Dressed neatly, worked neatly & kept the mess (dust etc) to the minimum. Cleaned his work area as he went along, realizing he was in a kitchen & sawdust didn't mix well with food. Worked quickly. The following day we realized another switch wasnt working. We called him back. He was a bit confused a moment bc he hadn't touched that circuit, but was determined to solve the mystery. Our house was built in 1850. Layer of ceilings covered old wires from several decades ago. He was able to trace the wiring & power without cutting a large hole in my ceiling. Just 2 small squares. He was able to find the short in the wiring & patched the ceiling quite well too. Chris will be my first call in the future.

John is prompt, courteous, and professional. I would highly recommend his services if you have an…read moreelectrical project in mind for your home, such as a transfer switch for a portable generator. His team installed my transfer switch back in 2016 and it has worked perfectly with my generator through the all too frequent power outages we get in our area. The design for the transfer switch was simple, effective, and pretty much foolproof. Exactly what I was looking for. Today we had another power outage and when I switched off my trusty generator and back to the grid, we had flickering then dim lights and electrical appliances that wouldn't work properly. Called John late at night and he promptly returned my call and explained the possible causes - probably a problem with the electricity supplier not turning the power back on "all the way". Turns out, he was right, and a few hours later my high voltage appliances worked fine again. They say you don't want to take any chances with electricity or wiring. I'm glad I didn't, and I have John and the folks at JDP Electric to thank for that.
