Bill is unusual as he is prompt, very knowledgeable, efficient,affordable and best of all a nice guy. I have tried many electricians and he is the first and only one I would recommend ( and I am particular and don't give recommendations lightly).I am so grateful to finally find an electrician I can trust and rely on!

I would recommend Bill Chaput, Chaput Electric, as preferred Electrical Contractor. Mr. Chaput possesses the integrity, knowledge and work ethic that one wants in a contractor. He has provided services to the Town of Putnam while working for a local electrical contractor and his workmanship was excellent. He was able to complete the job tasks within the expected time frame and his interaction with the employees affected by the work allowed the Town to complete the work during regular business hours without complaints. The employees commented on his cooperation and ability.
I had Mr. Chaput perform work for me on a personal basis since he started his own company. His work was again exceptional and he completed the work within the time and cost estimate provided. There is no doubt that he is the contractor I will call the next time I have electrical work at my properties and for the Town.

I'd like to express my total satisfaction with the work done by Chaput Electric in regard to the installation of our new Generac 20 kW standby generator.
Last year at the Woodstock fair, we stopped into the "Tractors 2 Trimmers" tent to look at the possibility of a generator installation. We'd been thinking about this for several years after having been without power on several occasions for up to a week at a time as a result of various storms. The Tractors To Trimmers people were very helpful in regard to possible selection of a generator unit, and said that they use Chaput Electric as an installation contractor. We obtained the necessary contact info for the contractor and called. We spoke to Bill Chaput, who was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. He came by shortly thereafter and assessed our layout and quoted a price that was very reasonable.
Once we decided that we would move forward, Bill took care of all the details including receiving the unit at our home, excavating, installing all necessary wiring, installing the transfer switching unit and coordinating the propane gas hookup with our fuel provider. Once all the equipment was in place, Bill made sure we completely understood the system and its maintenance requirements. Since the final installation in late November, the unit has self-tested flawlessly every Saturday at 10:00 AM. We actually experienced a day-long power outage at one point and this unit powered the whole house for approximately 10 hours without a snag.
I am pleased to highly recommend Chaput Electric for any standby generator installation that a potential customer may have. You won't be disappointed!
