During this time, we have relied on Chaput Electric LLC which is owned and operated by Bill Chaput for multiple jobs. This past week, Bill's team came to our property to install 65' of underground wiring for an exterior project necessitating electrical service. Two team members named Adam and Tim called me the morning of our scheduled appointment confirming they were slightly ahead of schedule asking if it was okay to arrive early (that was welcomed news). Upon arrival, these two gentlemen were extremely polite and very professional. They worked efficiently completing all the necessary services within the prescribed timeframe. Once completed, Adam asked me to come out so he could show me what was completed and walk me through all of their work. I have had the pleasure of speaking with Bill multiple times now, and each time he has been wonderful to work with. I do a lot of research and know just enough about a project to be dangerous. Hahahaha. With that said, Bill always goes into great detail answering my questions and sharing his professional knowledge. I've worked with A LOT of service professionals in my life, and what often separates them is their level of responsiveness. We recently had another electrician in the house doing minor work and he pointed out several places where there was visible and active knob and tube wiring. Knob and tube wiring is a huge fire hazard and we were told it was completely taken out of our home. I would understand if there were remnants in the wall somewhere but this was actively supplying electricity to our house and was very easily visible from our basement. I would not recommend hiring Positive Energy electric. I don't necessarily feel that they were being dishonest with us, but their mistake is careless at best and could have put our home and our family in danger had it not been discovered by another electrician. I gave two stars because he is relatively responsive and came out beforehand when we had an issue with an outlet.
