We bought the charger online, and Nick ran the wiring from our panel to the other side of the house and installed the new outlet and charger, for $1,150. This price was reasonable and his work quality was top notch. In addition, he was incredibly responsive: we received the quote quickly, he responded to my follow ups, and then had us scheduled in just a few days. Great guy and great service!

We explained to David what our goal was and he knew exactly what we needed and suggested what type of lights we get. It's amazing how he was able to rewire without a single mark made into ours walls. He rewired to give us two lights outside in completely different areas of the house and even added a switch box in our attic if we wanted to add any at a later date. He also installed the lights we purchased and showed us how to use them. He did a very thorough job and we couldn't have been more pleased with the work and in working with him. I have already recommend him to family and I would highly recommend to anyone else. We plan to work with David for any of our future electrical needs. Thanks David!

Giving "Five Star" a solid five star after having several conversations with Kevin about my newly…read morepurchased house. I originally wanted a quote for some upgrades and repairs. Kevin transparently and honestly told me I was better off getting providence water contacted for repairing some of it which I appreciated. When my boiler and radiator were leaking, Kevin's crew came out fast to look at it. Ultimately took a little while to get everything fixed but the guys worked professionally and efficiently to get the job done. The bill came in a little high for just patchwork (no new components or parts were used so it was 95% labor except for some plumbers putty) but it was lower than the "high end" of the quote I got. Despite the cost, the benefit here is you know what you're getting and that (so far based on my experience anyway) is an honest job and reliable company. So, if you're looking for the cheapest, fastest option you probably want to go elsewhere. If you're looking for a reputable company that tells you straight up what's going on, gives you an estimate and sticks to it, then Five Star is your company!

First, they pick up the phone…read more Second, having picked up the phone, they employ an actual office staff to schedule appointments and not some guy you can barely hear in the middle of a job who never calls you back. Third, they actually do schedule these appointments and maintain communication via email, texts, etc. This is a marked improvement over the guy you can barely hear in the middle of a job who never calls you back. Fourth, the electrician who came was competent, timely, and flexible (he came a day earlier than scheduled). Other reviewers here and elsewhere have complained about costs. I had no issues whatsoever. The price was reasonable for the electrical work he wound up doing. He explained some parts of the electrical system that I didn't understand and clarified that I didn't need any extra work done. Obviously I appreciated that candor. He was also a pretty good dude, easy to relate/talk to, and I always prefer dealing with friendly contractors than sour ones. So in sum, this is a professional outfit and what I've come to expect in the 21st century, with an office staff, scheduling software, and prompt, helpful specialists--but sadly it's something I don't often find in the world of contracting.

Mike McBurney is a one-man electrician. He answers his own phone, usually by you leaving a…read morevoicemail that his message says he'll return within 24 hours - and he calls you back within that time frame. I had several tasks to do to update bathroom lighting from the 1950's. Mike was able to come give me an estimate within days of me calling - he came over on his lunch break from another job to see my current situation. He scheduled a visit to do the job on the very tight schedule I had. My project required him to switch out an ancient ceiling light/fan/heat unit and the old circle switch for an updated button-type switch, remove old "eyeball" recessed lights to replace them with newer LEDs, and divide the eyeballs and the vanity lights from one to two switches (the new ones are much brighter, so I wanted an option to turn on one set of lights without the other) and replace an old outlet with a GFI. The work required Mike to look behind my recessed medicine cabinet to find how the current set-up was done. Since I'm replacing the cabinet, he also helped me box up the old one and bring it to the street for my trash collection. Mike noticed that not only did he need to add the switch but to change out the existing mercury one to something more up to code. The work was done neatly, quickly, and at a great price! All during the Phase 1 reopening afre COVID-19, so it was done with Mike wearing a mask and being attentive to social distancing as much as possible given the small footprint of my bathroom and my narrow doorway into the place.
