He did get back to me to say he wasn't available that day. Okay. Left a message as to when he could. I never received an answer. Mine was a small job. After the reconstruction from major water damage I put up a hanging pendant light where a flush mount used to be. The change was obvious and decided to put up a medallion and rehang the pendant light. I know everyone needs to make a living and the consensus with others and myself is that most contractors can't be bothered with small jobs. So I got a name of another electrician and he came over did my light and was able to repair another issue I had with a light /fan switch. I was happy to pay this man and now the two issues are safe and correctly resolved. I will never call DeVito again. A little common courtesy goes a long way. My next project is much much bigger. I'll call the one who helped me for that one. read more

We worked with David this fall to have two motion sensor lights added into our yard. We bought a new home but there wasn't any existing wiring or light fixtures in our back yard. We explained to David what our goal was and he knew exactly what we needed and suggested what type of lights we get. It's amazing how he was able to rewire without a single mark made into ours walls.He rewired to give us two lights outside in completely different areas of the house and even added a switch box in our attic if we wanted to add any at a later date. He also installed the lights we purchased and showed us how to use them. He did a very thorough job and we couldn't have been more pleased with the work and in working with him. I contacted David because of the reviews here, but mainly because I wanted someone I could work with throughout the years. A big company doesn't give you that comfort of knowing the individual who you're leaving in your home. I have a lot of electrical work that needs to be done in my home as it was built in the 70s and had not changed since. David walked through the home and addressed all of the changes I wanted. He provided me with a verbal price range, on the spot, which was super convenient because I'm that "type A" who likes to plan for everything. After the free estimate, he sent me an official quote for the total, via email, which was in range of his verbal. The best part of the quote was that it included individual pricing per job, which allowed me to be selective with which jobs I can afford and the ones that I'll need to wait on. My major elecrical issue was that I had no ceiling lights, which, to me, feels medieval. I hired David to put recessed lighting in two different rooms. He did an amazing job! I could not be happier. I can finally turn on the lights like it's the 21st century!! David went above and beyond: he is professional, worked clean, worked quickly, and provided recommendations that weren't at all soliciting. He told me that recessed lights are better if dimming lights are used and showed me the new switches, which have a little slide beside the actual switch. It's so nice to have an experienced professional provide their services and actually HELP you decide. He didn't do that annoying sales pitch nonsense. It was all business and he allowed me the room to decide what I wanted. I had such a great experience using this service and I hope David remains my go-to electrician for years to come. I contracted with him and I am am extremely happy with the results. Mr. DeVito is a Master Electrician, very skilled, reliable, and fair priced. The tenant's in the 3 family home were very pleased with the installation and the clean-up. Mr. DeVito is diligent and detailed. He communicates via text and email promptly. At completion of the project he walked through with the Providence building inspector and again with the Fire Marshall and easily got approval from both. Ten years ago we hired Dave as our electrician. Recently We put an addition on the house and let him at his own leasure Do the wiring. My son texted him and told him he was upset about how long it was taken. I did not know he texted him. Dave was working for Tim and I not my son. Dave got so mad and said he was not going to complete the job but changed his mind as Tim and I had been good customers. Sheet rock went up and plaster. Called Dave and he said will be over for a check for parts in a week or two. We called him back and he told us he would not finish the job. Said it was a hostile enviroment. How hostile could it be when my husband who is in a wheel Chair made him Coffee all the time. What happened between my son and him had nothing to do with us. He left us in a mess. No electricity and not enough money to hire another one as we had an agreement with him with the money. He left a 71 year old man in the dumps and didn't care at all. Dave did a great job working with me to wire a home security system. His rates are very fair and he worked very hard until the job was done. We ran into a few unexpected things (not his fault) inside the walls when fishing wires though, and he was upfront about what he could and couldn't do given what we found.
