We explained to David what our goal was and he knew exactly what we needed and suggested what type of lights we get. It's amazing how he was able to rewire without a single mark made into ours walls. He rewired to give us two lights outside in completely different areas of the house and even added a switch box in our attic if we wanted to add any at a later date. He also installed the lights we purchased and showed us how to use them. He did a very thorough job and we couldn't have been more pleased with the work and in working with him. I have already recommend him to family and I would highly recommend to anyone else. We plan to work with David for any of our future electrical needs. Thanks David!

$180 to turn a gas valve…read more Edited to Respond: It is disingenuous to charge someone $180 to turn a knob after driving for ten minutes to my house from your business. No matter how you justify it. You charged me half the price it would take to have the furnace serviced, which was $380. So rather come and turn the knob on, you could have offered to have it serviced right then and there which would have resolved the situation and my furnace would have been serviced. I feel ripped off, and the lack of forethought, "hey it's gonna cost you $180 for me to turn the knob, want me to actually do some work on it for a few dollars more so that we actually did something other than charge you for turning a knob" could have gone a long way.

I contacted Giroux Electric to investigate reported issues with bathroom exhaust fans and light…read morefixtures. Scheduling was easy, and everyone was friendly initially. The diagnostic visit cost $160, and I was told one of the bathroom fans needed to be replaced. I agreed to the replacement, which cost about $850. I assumed that for nearly $1,000 the installation would be complete and leave the area finished. Unfortunately, I was notified that the new fan was not vented outside, and because the replacement fan was a different size and shape than the original, it left a significant opening in the ceiling that required additional patching and repair work on my end. I understand that replacement fans don't always match the size of existing units, but I was surprised that the job was considered complete with such noticeable unfinished work remaining. When I asked the technician about it, the response felt frustrated and dismissive, which further reduced my confidence in the service. The staff was pleasant for the most part, and scheduling was straightforward, but I was not prepared for the extra work and expense required after what I thought would be a complete fan installation. For that reason, I don't think I'll be using Giroux Electric again.

He also took the time to make sure everything was working, that all areas were cleaned up and we knew how everything worked ( timer for pool and how the switches worked) when the job was done.
