I would really look to find another company for lighting. I was the "guinea pig" on their new online ordering system, didn't know it until I had to chase them for all my answers, such as a confirmation email, delivery timelines, and I got passed around to multiple people, and no one could find my order. I finally got so fed up I cancelled the order and ordered the same lights from another company that will have them here within 3 business days instead of "2-2.5 weeks". I reviewed them on Facebook and I notice that they took down my review. They only have six 5-star recommendations posted and NO "non-recommendations" posted, and many of them are from 2018... read more

It's a shame Costco uses this company, they subcontract the work to M. Woody's which they​ have a water hammer ($15 part) to charge you $140 for a one minute installation because "it has to be up to code" and also asks for another $30 to be sent to the Town Hall to pull a plumbing permit just to replace a dishwasher. tl;dr; strongly disrecommend Northeast Electrical was selected by Costco to install my dishwasher. The cost of installation was included in the purchase, but they were allowed to charge me for additional required work. The people seemed nice enough and competent. However they charged $130 to install a water hammer, a ~$15 part, which took about 1 minute (and, had I known about it, I could have purchased and installed despite being mechanically incompetent). I didn't know what my options were if I refused installation, so I agreed to pay it. But I certainly ended up feeling like I was cheated. I asked them after the fact to justify the cost on a parts and labor or any basis at all, and they said "that is the price". If you can't justify why you are charging something, it is to me a sign that I'm being ripped off. And given the coercive nature of the situation, I ended up feeling like I was being taken advantage of. Would strongly recommend taking your business to a more honest service. If they are assigned to you by Costco or some other company, I recommend asking for a different contractor. read more

This is the worst experience I have in regard of appliance. I bought the installation of a dishwasher through SEARS, they then subcontracted to northeast electric services, they then subcontracted to some plumbing company in Framingham. They overcharged me $125 for some "not-to-code" stuff on top of $300 installation fee. I explicitly said when I purchased the service that they have to haul away the old machine. I live in a high-rise with a huge elevator, they charged me $40 limited access fee and $25 haul away fee. However, after they finally finished the work after two attempts (I don't even want to go into the frustrating details), they said they wouldn't haul away the machine because they cannot take away any machine up to the second floor. WHAT! What kind of miscommunication is that. On top of that, the plumber complained all the time while he was working. Completely frustrating experience. read more

It all began on a sunny Friday morning after Sears had been paid about $300 to send licensed subcontractors to install a dishwasher. The installation was interrupted by the technicians' yelling about hot water coming out of the isolation valve. Hot water. Chaos ensued including shutting off the entire buildings water supply. It all resulted in no hot water in the kitchen, and no new dishwasher. Fast forward to Monday. Two different technicians showed up. This time they were at least 15 years older than the guys who came on Friday. After the botched installation had been corrected, took about 30 minutes including a valve replacement, one of the guys told me that he had no idea how the first installation team missed the fact that the valve was under pressure when they unhooked the water line. I am not a plumber, that's what the technician said. Please PLEASE - remember to check the isolation valve next time guys? EDIT: Not only did they send incompetent people the first time, but now they are lying about it. I put a dispute with my credit card company about the installation charges. Now, they are claiming that the installation team spoke to the building management and that we knew that the valve needed to be replaced. That conversation never took place. read more

Matt was incredible! The poor guy had his truck breakdown the day prior. He was so friendly and detailed with his service it was such a relief. This was most impressive given the frustrations he must be dealing with. He and his partner insured my safety with COVID-19 compliance. Removed my old stove safely without damaging my floor. Then walked me thru the next steps for operating my new stove. Linda the appointment scheduler was lovely! She did everything she could to get Matt to me the next day in lue of his transition challenge. This tells me they work closely together to insure customer satisfaction. If I could give negative stars I would. I had one of the worst experiences with this company and Sears (which appears to be a common theme reading the previous reviews). We went to Sears on Jan 31 to purchase a dishwasher. The salesman let us know that a third party would be calling to set up time for delivery. Northeast Electrical Services, called on Jan 1 to set up time for delivery. I returned their call same day and left a message for them to return my call. I continued to call and leave messages on Jan 3, 4, 5 - without anyone answering the phone. Finally on Jan 9 they returned my call. We set the delivery and install up for Jan 19. The lady who I spoke to let me know they'd call the day before (jan 18) to confirm delivery and give me a time window. On Jan 18 they exactly that, called an confirmed delivery and install was a go and they'd be there between 10-2 the next day. So, I went ahead and made arrangements for my daughter to be picked up at school, since I wouldn't be able to leave if the delivery people were here. I also cleaned out from under the sink and removed everything from the surrounding counter, per their request. At 9:45am on Jan 19 I got a call telling me the delivery and install wouldn't be happening because the dishwasher wasn't available yet. I was livid! 15 minutes before the scheduled delivery window they call me telling me this. I missed the call, so of course when I immediately called them back I was only able to leave a voicemail and never heard back from them. It seems impossible that they didn't know the day before when they called to confirm the delivery that the dishwasher wasn't available. I mean don't they organize their delivery route the day before for the next day??? It took several days and even more phone calls to Sears but I was finally able to cancel the dishwasher and get a full refund. I would like to point out that Sears had in their system that the dishwasher had already been delivered. I will never use Northeast Electrical Services and will never recommend them. If Sears knows what's good for them they will stop doing business with this company. read more

I purchased a dishwasher from Costco and the delivery company arranged the schedule (day and hour) with Northeast Electrical for installation. But Northeast Electrical called me to change the day. It is very annoying because the installation was arranged on the same day of the delivery. The company is very rude to tell me that if you don't want to change the day, you should find another company by myself to do it. There is no option so that I agreed and set up installation time again (they gave me 4 hours window to come) and I made a half-day off while my new dishwasher was on the floor in the kitchen. But they called me one day before installation to change the time suddenly. It really bothered me and my work that day. The installation was included in the purchase, but they insisted $130 additionally. What they did with additional payment is the installation of a water hammer arrestor. They said if you don't pay $130, they would leave immediately (they hold their bag and buckets and pretended to leave). Even though the Installation of a water hammer arrestor is required, $130 is way more than the price we should pay for. Costco purchase already included installation. In other words, we don't need to pay travel expense but only to pay for labor and the part for the installation. The part is $10~20 and their work labor for the installation took 2-3 minutes, a very simple connection between a water pipe and a dishwasher hose (no need for any plumber skills). Coincidently, one item near the door in my home disappeared after they left. I knew that it was there before they came and it was gone after they left. No one came between. I also noticed that the payment is not for Northeast Electrical but for M.Woody's. They asked me to write the check for M.Woodys. I think that Northeast electrical and M.Woody's are separate companies and this installation is the outsourcing of the outsourcing. That situation usually doesn't do any good for customers but causes ripping off customers. I don't exactly how these two companies work here but that is my guess and why they try to rip off the Costco customers. There are two victims, Costco customers and Costco. We paid much more than we should do and Costco may have that blame. I believe that I am not the only one. I saw a very similar story from this company's review below. Here are my suggestions if you purchased a dishwasher from Costco and this company is supposed to install it. 1) Change the company if possible. I would contact Costco to change it even though the day is delayed. 2) If not, please install "a water hammer arrestor" in advance and ask them to do "basic installation" to prevent any hassle. I bought a dishwasher from Sears, and the $230 installation was outsourced to this company. I sensed something was wrong when calling NES to schedule the installation. They said they don't deliver to apartments without elevator, so they went ahead and scheduled Sears to do the delivery without asking for my availability. After the dishwasher was delivered, the Sears delivery man told me they don't deliver to buildings without elevator, but they did anyway. Go figure! In any case, I had to schedule installation with NES again. I asked for the earliest date, but they never told me the timeframe on that day. Furthermore, they insisted on charging me the $50 building permit fee and warned me that they are obligated to bring plumbing and electrical to code at additional charge. That is utter BS because building code is not enforced on a preexisting structure unless it is rebuilt. I saw the writing on the wall, came to Yelp, and found that someone here was fleeced $450 for the installation. What a rip off! We ordered a SEARS dishwasher plus installation (paid everything beforehand to SEARS) and Northeast was the installation company. Called to set up an appointment with Northeast, and the receptionist told me they can install/deliver on Tuesday and warned me that if the installer comes to the house, they may need to charge additional $100-$150, only if plumbing is not up to code. I immediately said, if they up-charge me, I will refuse installation. The reception then said, if that's the case, we need to move your install/delivery to Friday. What a horrible way of handling business! The installer finally arrive on Friday night. Low and be hold, installer said it's not up to code and he needs to charge for the work. I obviously said "no" and said I wanted to just keep the dishwasher and not install it. Installer said, he can't and needed to take it back. And explained to me, Northeast Electrical subcontracted him to come. WTF?! Sears hires Northeast Electrical as a subcontractor then, Northeast Electrical hires a Plumber subcontractor?! I've already prepaid $300.00 for installation via SEARS and then Northeast wants to charge an additional $100-$150. The total cost would have been $450.00 for installation! RIDICULOUS. I let the installer take back the dishwasher, called SEARS and cancelled the whole order. WHAT A WASTE of time and NORTHEAST is the worse installer company out there. If I could give zero stars, I would. I haven't even had my dishwasher installed yet (purchased thru Sears) and I HATE these people. The girl who answered the phone was beyond rude. I was placed on hold twice and just left there. Then I was told that I basically have to take the entire day off for the installation from work because they won't give me an installation time until between 3 and 4pm the day before. "Jarrod" is the guy who cancels your installation on a whim if he doesn't 'like' you. First he wanted to charge me permit fees for my town (lie) and when I refused, the installation was cancelled. Next time around, he set the appliances to a warehouse in NH 2 hrs away, ooppss got cancelled again.... 4 xs so far. Sears is aware of this guy and does nothing!!! Their service was fine. They showed up when they said they would (9am on a Saturday, which was what worked for me). They got our dishwasher installed with a minimum of fuss. They did find one valve that was leaking a little (not their fault), and they fixed it for a separate fee at the same time. I would definitely work with them again. (And their low overall rating may be because most of the people who look for them on Yelp to give reviews are the ones who had bad experiences. I wish I read these reviews before I went to Sears and had these guys Install the Washer/Dryer I purchased from Sears. A very, very long story short. 2 days of work missed equaling hundreds of dollars in lost wages, at least 30(not exaggerating)phone calls back and forth between NE Electrical Services and Sears with unsatisfactory resolution. When they finally came to install the washer and dryer,(They decide the day and time they will do the work by the way)they flat out refuse to haul away the broken machines a service we paid Sears to perform. The whole time they were bad mouthing Sears calling them incompetent and jerks and several other names.. The only reason I can see Sears hiring these guys is that they must work for peanuts. By far, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced in my life. Do yourself a favor, Hire your own Delivery/Installers. Do not pay Sears for this service. We finally had the installers arrive today. Apparently the main office never told the electrician that we were upset and never told Nick to give us a call. When they got here they told us it would cost us extra for the installation due to electrical code changes that happened a year ago. We were floored. Why wasn't anything said prior to the arrival of the installers? The electrician and his assistant were great (after we blasted them up one side and down the other) and managed to calm us down. The major problem this company has is communication. Not only do they not communicate well with their customers, they cannot even communicate internally. If I could make one suggestion, I would say they need a course in communication skills. read more

NE Electrical Services installed a new Kenmore Dishwasher for us - contracted by Sears for delivery and installation of a product bought from Sears. NE Electrical did a great job: (1) showed up when they said they would, (2) did a professional installation and removed the old machine, and were (3) friendly and courteous. One minor complaint: they were a bit hard to reach after hours when we needed to confirm our installation time the day before - it took a couple of calls before an answering service picked up. This business came to install my Dryer the guy I spoke with to schedule was fine to deal with and they showed up on time. They came in to the basement to do and right off bat the upsell game began. Everything to do the install was purchased at sears the vent kit the kits for the gas line and of course it was another 50.00 in addition to what was already paid. so I paid it. Then they got to work at sone point I heard them saying they didnt have some of the hardware they needed about 30 minutes later they said they were finished and I came downstairs to check and then I was told that they didnt charge me for something extra they had to put on making it seem like they did me a favor and then they left. they were supposed to take the whole dryer with them but they left a big metal piece behind. I ordered a range from Sears including installation. I was informed that delivery & installation would be on Saturday between 5:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. I asked again for confirmation and was assured that was correct. At 7:00 P.M. on the Saturday I went on-line and cancelled the order as no one had shown and I was unable to reach anyone from North East Electric. On Monday I was told that Sears could not cancel the order and I should just refuse delivery when the range arrives. I would receive my refund after the installer returned it to the warehouse. On Friday I left a message at North East and "Linda" returned my call within a half hour. She told me that they don't have the range and would be happy to cancel the order with Sears for me. Ten minutes after that "Linda" called to say she had completed the cancellation with Sears and to watch for my refund. Linda was most pleasant and helpful. I would have given 5 stars for this but they do need to work on their lack of communication re install requests through Sears. Sears on the other hand is a lost cause. read more

Northeast Electrical Service was sent to by townhouse by Sears to install a gas dryer that I had recently purchased. I would have installed it myself, but I was told that a plumber needs to take out a permit with the Town to perform the install. (side note - you are paying for the permit so make sure they have the permit in hand before they install) In order to get the dryer into the laundry room, I was told that the 'trim on door jam had to be removed to install dryer'. This was OK with me because when the last time a dryer was installed, the men removed and then replaced trim without any visible evidence that it had been removed. Instead of carefully removing the trim, Northeast Electrical Service preceded to demolish the trim work on the door. I was right upstairs, all they had to do was come up and say that they were having trouble removing the trim. Instead they ripped it off in pieces and the splintered woodwork is unsalvageable. I did not see the door until the men came upstairs, had me sign paperwork and then leave. My wife called to complain to Northeast Electrical Service but she got nowhere with a supervisor named Ken, and she told me he was very rude to her. I tried to tell Ken what happened and express my displeasure, but all Ken did was talk over me. I told him that I was going leave negative reviews and he promptly told me to 'pound sand'. The dryer was supposed to be sent on the Aug 20th and installed. Someone called from Northeast at 508-966-7467 and cancelled the installation. it was a voice message left on our answering machine without any future appointments. we were instructed to call back. We called and no one answered. no answering machine either. we called Sears and they said they we are re-scheduled for today Aug 28th. We did not receive any call. We kept waiting. until 4Pm when we called Sears. We were given a run around by Sears. No future promises of when it will be installed. Shame on you both. We are still in a limbo read more

We have a very good experience with this company. When this company called me about the installation the woman first said that the delivery company, who had scheduled the delivery and installation of our new range the same day, had ignored when doing the scheduling that this company is swamped at the holidays. I was told NES was totally booked up and we would have to wait until the week following the delivery for the installation. This seemed to be the fault of the delivery company, who had sat on our installation order for 10 days rather than forwarding it to NES immediately. But then the woman took pity on us and squeezed our appointment into the very busy day of the installer. She was not rude at all, and contacted the delivery company to coordinate the delivery time with the installation time. And the installer -- George, who I think is their gas installation guy -- was terrific. He had to work past 7 p.m. on a Friday to fit us in. Thank you George (from G.A.P.S. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANT. IF YOU BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM SEARS OR ANY OTHER STORE, DEMAND THEY SEND A DIFFERENT CONTRACTOR. Ridiculously bad. Installed a dishwasher, claimed to have tested it. The first time I ran it, water built up in the bottom of the dishwasher. Called to have someone come look at it, said it would be a few days. A few days later, they call to ask about the problem, explain it, they say that will require a new dishwasher, which will take another couple days. Wait. Wait. Next week they call to say someone will be out on Thursday, then on Thursday there is a family emergency and he can't make it until the week after. They say they will call. They don't. Ever. That was two weeks ago. Luckily I found the user's manual, and the #1 Troubleshooting option is to check if the disposal plug has been completely removed for the drain hose. I check, and it hasn't been touched. THEY STRAIGHT UP LIED ABOUT TESTING THE DISHWASHER, it was bone dry the first time we ran it, which means they never did a test run, and they are so incompetent they didn't do the simple step of knocking out the plug in the disposal, they just attached the hose and left. read more

This company is the worst. They damaged my new counter tops, never cleaned the work site. Installed my Sears oven off level by 1/4 inch, never pulled the permit, dirtied my floors, never put down protection tarps while they worked. The only laughable issue was when they drove up with a bad tire. They actually drove on the rim! No jack, no spare. - they spent the entire rest of the day waiting on a tow truck. What a poor excuse for a company. Northeast Electrical goes into my never again file. What a sad story I get to tell about this company. Sears now has to pay for the repair to my counter top and have another service company come out and fix the oven install. And I get to tell my story again......... read more

Totally agree with that other guy if there was a negative rating that's what I would put! Absolutely the rudest girls on the phone! I was given a window of noon to 4:00 pm. Called at 3:50 and I was told they were on the way. Guy showed up 50 min's later. in the meantime I then looked up this company which I wish I had done prior. The guy was just like the reviews, began to try and charge me almost another $400.00 in plumbing & electrical after paying Sears over $200.00. I told him to leave the dishwasher & I would do it. He informed me couldn't do that. So then begins the chase for where your appliance is. After being tossed around for 4 days I finally was refunded my money & had to do a complete new purchase & wait 4 more days to have dishwasher delivered. (I only stayed with Sears to match our other appliances) Sears however was good after I finally got someone who knew what they where doing & I was given 10% off & when it finally arrived delivery drivers where great but Northeast Electric are scammers & rude. I bought a dryer last week The installer was supposed to have been Northeast Electrical. I had to reschedule the installation, called Sears and made the arrangements. Sears told me they would call NE Electrical, but that I should too. They gave me their direct number & even told me Matthew from NE would be doing the installation. I called NE, asked if they did Saturday installations, was told they did, & arranged for an early Saturday morning installation. I was told NE would call me late Friday afternoon to schedule the actual time frame. Friday afternoon they called & informed me they would do the installation 12-4 Saturday afternoon. I reminded them of my prior call & arrangements. The girl said she would check & get back to me. I had a second call from one of the rudest, nastiest women I have ever spoken with. She told me I had never called, that they didn't have an 800#. She said only Sears had called. I told her Sears had given me their direct number, not any 800# and at their suggestion, I had in fact called & made my arrangements. Then she told me she didn't have the trucks or the man power to make a special trip for me. I told her it wasn't a special trip, it was fulfilling the arrangements I had already made with them. Then she finished off by saying if Saturday didn't work, we could find another day. I told her I would find another installer.
