We have worked with Dave team a lot in the past 14 months or so; it started with a small project of just mounting a new and making sure all of our outlets were to code/3 pronged. We bought our house and it had some horrible lights and very strange wiring/ placement of switches and plugs. He did this small project and we were more then impressed. Fast forward to this past OCT we had him install high hats in everyroom but kitchen and dining room(it had from the original owners). Our house has never had so much light and we couldn't be happy with the placement of everything. He also swapped out our outdoor lights and entry hallway fixture. He was beyond helpful/detailed orientated and patient. I struggled picking a fixtures. Now fast forward to January he has replaced our kitchen and dining high hats as the one light per room wasn't enough. Our kitchen is so bright- he also was able to get us wireless switches allowing to turn lights on from both sides of our long room. His crew has been amazing as well all have his staff have been professional and would reccomended his team in a heartbeat! Cody came to my house did not pull a permit that was in the contract. The performed completely illegal electrical work that was never intended to be inspected by city code enforcement. When it was actually inspected by city enforcement, the work was such poor quality that city inspectors refused to write up a repair report. Cody owes me over $4000 for having to pay for a different electric contractor to come in and fix the hack job that was performed on my property. I've been in construction and buying a selling homes for 30 years. this is by far the worst subcontractor I've ever used in my professional career. The first time I've had to file a small claims lawsuit on a subcontractor for being so unprofessional and refusing to pay me back the money he scammed from me. read more

Avoid this company. David Cushing is not a man of his word. He refused to quote a price to my wife and then overcharged us for a project bc his team didn't know what they were doing. Other electricians would have charged less than half. We can all do better! Don't engage, you will thank me! read more

Dave Cushing was very responsive via phone and email. Quote was provided that same evening. Requested work was to install a new power outlet in the bathroom. Jeff was the technician that came out (right on time too). Very knowledgeable guy. We had originally thought there would be a lot of cutting through drywall, but Jeff found a very elegant solution that only required drilling one tiny hole in the drywall. We called Dave to identify an issue with two circuits in our house that were back feeding, as well as price out a few other projects for us. He generated a quick quote for us and immediately sent some guys to come work on our house. Over the course of 2.5 days, we had Jeff, Bill, Rich, and Will working at our house. They identified the back feeding issues, which involved cutting several holes in our ceiling to locate the source. They patched up the holes after and they look perfect. They also installed flood lights, a shower fan venting to the outside and some outlets. Everything was done so well and they took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Everything came priced out as expected. They will definitely be the first people we call when we want electrical work done! read more

In April 2016 our main breaker failed, and we could not turn our house power back on. This happened in the evening, after traditional work hours. I was in a panic trying to find an emergency electrician. We found Cushing Electric via internet. Based on my information over the phone, he concluded that our breaker was likely at fault. Dave came right over. He was also very pleasant. He gave us a temporary part to restore our electricity for the night and then sent someone over in the morning to swap it with a brand new part. We were SO grateful. Our large fish tank needed electricity to keep the fish alive! I will call Cushing Electric again and would definitely recommend to friends and neighbors. read more

We called Cushing Electric to come fix our circuit breaker (after the bathtub reglaze company fried our circuits). Dave came to take a look at our problem and quickly determined we need to replace the circuit breaker. He didn't have the parts at the time but at least he made our circuits slightly safer. A couple of days later, he sent one of his guys over to finish the job. The guy arrived fairly promptly and finished the work in a few hours as promised. The estimate given by Dave was accurate. The work definitely was not cheap but Dave and company did a good job so I would definitely recommend to others. read more

Extremely responsive. Excellent service. Dave called me right back anytime I left a message. Quick turn around time for the job I needed. Great price. He made recommendations for the generator I needed and the extension cord. The electrician ( I think his name is Bill) installed a generator interlock. He even put together the generator and showed me how to start it up and how to transition to the interlock system. The workmanship is top quality. I Wish I had a better experience like Catherine. We had Cushing Electric do our entire electrical job for our gut renovation over the last three years. It was difficult to get someone to schedule a time to come to the house as they were always "really busy" and needed us to call again in a "week or two". When we called back a week later, we were told to call again later to schedule. The work finally got done, but we've had an issue with two circuits in the house tripping CONSTANTLY. One is for the stove in the kitchen (annoying). The other is for all of the recessed lighting on the first floor(even worse). I had Dave come out to assess the issue in NOVEMBER, and he said the two breakers would need to be replaced. I have followed up with him on his personal phone and with the office and have yet to get a response as to when someone can fix the problem. It's now January and I have officially given up on Cushing Electric. I will NEVER recommend them and we are looking for another, more customer oriented electrician to do the seemingly simple job for us. read more
