After pulling the trigger on buying my 2023 Tesla Model S I needed to get a wall charger installed pronto. I placed calls to the top five in my area (MetroWest Boston) and only one responded same day. A very pleasant gal from Wired called me almost immediately, and within minutes booked my appointment for the following week at my request. I had told her that my order for the charger kept getting delivery delayed and that I was uncertain whether I would actually have it in time. She said that if I wanted, they keep Tesla chargers in stock, and if desired they could book the install this week, and I return the ordered charger to Tesla service center. I selected the day after tomorrow and voila Paul, the very knowledgeable and friendly electrician/installer showed up with the charger. After some discussion about amps, load, location, and yes, sports, my new charger was beautifully installed, the work area all cleaned up and my new car charging up! They made it so easy. They are highly responsive, efficient and take great pride in their work. They specialize in EV chargers of all kinds. Highly recommend! read more

Paul came to our home a few years ago to help with a power outage. Soon after arriving, the power returned. So, he suggested further service to maximize having to pay for his visit. We agreed to a house surge protector. Recently, a master electrician took a look at our circuit breakers and shared the surge protector was placed at the bottom of the panel. Therefore, it was useless. I wouldn't recommend this business. Waste of money. read more

While I understand that there may be some challenging jobs, I don't think it's particularly good to have someone come in who speaks condescendingly to your wife, complains about the style of home that you recently purchased, and responds with, "Yea...of course you do" when you're asking questions about if it's possible to put outlets in certain places. John came to our home first thing in the morning and met with my wife who was asking for GFCI outlets to be placed in the kitchen, outlets in the basement to be brought to code, a light switch to be installed in what used to be a garage and was converted to a 4th bedroom, and an outlet to be installed in our garage ceiling so the garage door opener can be plugged in. Rather than be a professional and offering helpful suggestions if it couldn't be done, he would rather tell her how much of a pain the layout of our house is and give us an exorbitant quote. While I don't necessarily doubt that the work may require some money to be put into it, being condescending to people, complaining about the layout of the house, and then charging us a $29 trip fee is unnecessary. This behavior just lost business. Some decent customer service would have gained you a new client for life. Instead, you lost one. read more

Changed outlets, changed multiple light fixtures, installed new thermostats, and rewired several things. Paul is reliable, fair in his pricing and great with communication. I sold my place in 8 days. He quickly got to work and was able to restore power to my two upstairs bedrooms within the first half hour. He explained what he did (replace 2 breakers & tighten the connection on others), what he didn't do but might recommend (the breakers should be consistent compatibility through the box), and gave some other tips should I ever try to play with electricity in my own home in the future (I won't). These people are GREAT!!!! We just moved to the area and needed to have a Tesla charger installed as well as a few updates in the new home we just purchased. I talked with Paul (the owner) and he was very helpful and confirmed the upcoming appointment. Alexander was the electrician who arrived and he was able to put in the Tesla charger as well as fix some of the prior wiring that was messed up by the prior owner. He was very informative and explained how/why he was doing something whenever I asked. He kept everything clean and neat when he was finished. Awesome experience here from beginning to end. For background, I had a relatively small need for repairing an outlet and updating a breaker at the panel. My initial call was answered by Alicia, who was super helpful scheduling an appointment and explaining how everything would work. To my surprise, I received a call back the next day that they had an opening sooner than my appointment date - fantastic! John showed up as promised and couldn't have been more friendly, respectful of my property, and accommodating with my questions. His attention to detail was superb - even managing to match the (somewhat unusual) outlet color, which exceeded my expectations. I'd be willing to pay a premium for that kind of service, but the total charge for my work was extremely reasonable, and I'm not sure it could have been beat. I am very late with this post. I contacted Paul this summer to do some home improvements. New kitchen lighting, running a new outlet for a freezer, new garage lighting, new bathroom vent fans with lights and, finally, new power for a replacement dishwasher that had to be brought up to code. 5/2/2022, Monday, Paul Crowley from Wired Electrical, electrician services located in Marlborough, Mass, came over to our home today to fix our microwave oven plug and outlet. This was an excellent experience for both my wife and I. Paul noticed the age of the microwave, outlet and circuit breakers, and brought everything up to code. He also noticed the plug had been electrically arced and so took care of it as well. We asked about a couple of more plugs in the house that were not working and those got fixed as well. During the entire time he was with us Paul was very professional, pleasant, and explained everything he was doing and why, and answered all of our questions in a kind understandable way. I should also mention that Paul arrived right on time with clean clothes, a fully stocked truck, and there was no smokiness about him. Paul also took the remains from the job with him, and made sure to treat our home with care. I should also mention I was also helped by the office folks who were just as pleasant and helpful. This is a company that I am glad to know about. The entire experience was excellent! Wired did the hookup for our outdoor hot tub. They ran a 220v circuit, installed an outdoor breaker and connected the tub. We also had them install a standard outdoor electrical outlet. They did good work, made sure it looked nice, seemed very knowledgeable, explained everything well and were diligent about being clean. Good value. read more

Fantastic work, and I'm a perfectionist! Paul replaced a ceiling fan on a vaulted ceiling in my timber frame house but had to find a new mount point after we discovered how poorly the existing fan was mounted. He deftly rerouted the wire invisibly to the new mount point on a solid cross beam. I have no idea how he did it-- it looks beautiful! He also replaced some light switches and a tricky wired CO detector (part of a low voltage system wired into a panel in the basement). He was easy to work with and cleaned up after himself. read more
