After getting quotes from several electricians to remedy the tricky knob and tube wiring on the second floor of my East Side Providence home, I decided to go with Don of D & E for several reasons. As he moved through the house, it was clear that his thought process included not only the best way to do the job, but how to do it in the least intrusive way possible. He spoke very respectfully, despite my complete lack of knowledge about the subject, and broke things down for me in ways I could understand. Don's estimate was comparable with the others, but as he worked and he started to find surprise after surprise behind the walls, I started to worry that time and money were going to climb and climb. Don and his son worked quickly and efficiently, with little disruption to myself and my family. He was able to cut most of the holes in the closets, and patched all the holes. I had to repaint about three small spots. Don was easy going and extremely good at communication. They cleaned up beautifully at the end of each work day.
