I called and left a message and received a call back in a few hours and was able to schedule a service within a week. I was given a 3 hr timeframe the technicians could show up and they showed up and completed the work in that time. I hired them for changing my furnace from oil to gas. The price was very good and I have no complaints with the owner. However, I'm less pleased with some of the employees sent to inspect and possibly repair the furnace annually. The last guy sent made no mention of an obvious problem before his eyes. Next thing I knew I was paying for the service call, then he was gone. No offer to repair or replace a damaged coil so the time and money was a complete waste. I was looking for a company to replace a furnace in my house. I live out of state so I have to get my real estate agent to let people in. My real estate agent spoke to them at 10:30 AM and they said they be there at 11:30 AM as they were 45 minutes away. 11:30 rolls around and they don't show up. My second floor AC went out completely (no air blowing at all) on Thursday last week, when it was almost 90 degrees out. I called four contractors based on recommendations. One never answered the phone and never called back. One was going to take more than a week to get here, but they were very nice and the other could get here on Monday, but it was $250 for them to arrive before anything would get looked at. A friend at work mentioned they just had an issue and had called T. Gomes and they got there fast, diagnosed the issue as minor rather than what they had expected, were super nice and the price was very reasonable. I cancelled the appointment I had with the very expensive company and called T. Gomes. The woman who answered the phone could not have been nicer. She asked questions, listened and was concerned about helping us out as quickly as possible. When I mentioned the other company, she said that the owner used to work for that company, and they understand how expensive they are. She matched me with the Monday day and time and we waited it out. The technician texted in advance to say he was on the way, he was there right at the start of the promised window and was a very professional, nice and hard working man (I believe he was the owner's son). The issue was resolved very fairly for us and we even installed a new thermostat, which is a nice upgrade. I will always go with a small, family business when I can, but sometimes you worry about quality and qualifications. In this case, every aspect of the experience was first class. After having contacted several companies, Tony and his people reacted in a way I had hoped the others would have. Some came and we discussed my needs and then went back and miscommunicated the information, another wouldn't guarantee the furnace I wanted, another gave me a price that was, in retrospect much too high for the furnace I had chosen, and on and on. Others chose furnaces I had never heard of and could not find any objective reviews on. So, in total, it was something of a mental circus. Lots of promises and very little delivery. I'm beginning to think that this is typical of American business. To get back to my original statement, Tony Gomes was very different. They replaced a burned out motor, which was all well and good, but then turned around and charged around $200 more than what we were quoted. They also said they would come back and fix another heater that was making a loud noise repeatedly, because they couldn't figure it out while they were here and had to contact the manufacturer. A pretty bad experience. Hired to install a new ducted mini-split system. Eventually found out they had no experience with this type of installation. Here are some of the issues: - The system never worked properly. It barely cooled at all. Not worth the cost of the installation. After many return trips to our house, they could never figure out what the issue was. He mentioned they didn't make any money off this job because of the time spent at my house trying to get the system to work. Makes you wonder about a business owner willing to risk $ on a job they weren't qualified to do in the first place. - They dented the compressor coils installing it. - The system originally had multiple leaks throughout - They hacked holes in the wall and ceiling. The hole cutter, this was evidently his only job, said he just cuts holes and he's not responsible for how it looks afterward. - They slopped drywall mud around and on the vents. Two of the vent adjustment mechanisms were stuck because they were covered in mud. - They left piles of sawdust and plaster in the areas of wall and ceiling they hacked into. -I had to pay GEM Plumbing and Heating more money to come out and fix the install errors so the system would work as we originally anticipated. The guys from GEM were awesome, by the way. I have had two neighbors and a friend, who were looking into mini-split installations of their own, inquire about our experiences. I did not recommend T. Gomes... but definitely had a different recommendation from this expereince! read more

I chose T Gomes based on their excellent reviews, and after experiencing their service firsthand, I can say that all their 5-star reviews are deserved! This marks the fourth summer I have lived in a house with central A/C. My system works well, but I wanted the system inspected and serviced for peace of mind. I had scheduled an appointment toward the end of June, just as the real summer weather arrived, and received a text from Tony confirming the appointment. Since my air handler is located in the attic, I scheduled an early morning appointment, so the attic would not be too hot for the technician, Jason, who arrived on time. He inspected the unit in the attic and deemed it in good condition. Next, he went outside to assess refrigerant levels and make sure the compressor was running properly, as well as clean the cooling fins. Then, after the unit had been running a while, he measured temperatures at supply and return air ducts in the house to verify the system was cooling properly. He even accommodated my request for an estimate to install a high-efficiency air filter for my furnace; I received the estimate during the visit, instead of having to make another appointment. How convenient! I found the technician to be very professional and polite, and the price for the A/C service was a very reasonable $95. read more
