Eel Sushi and Sushi with Salmon Roe

Delicious sushi, they plated it super pretty, staff was very kind, they made a slight mistake and communicated it very well, asked about allergies, we loved the music it was really fun. Very dark in there and a little hard to see menus -- I don't mind but my mom did as someone with worse vision so something to think about for them. They might need better candles at the tables.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants in metro Detroit! We love it at Inyo! Great service and food!

Not worth it but my emphasis is on the quality of the food and the value the food more than the ambiance and service. I ordered a sushi roll which picture is $16 and a miso nobe soup meant for two for about $35. The soup contained a king crab leg, some tofu, small salmon, some veggies, some mushrooms in a miso soup. While the soup tasted good it was for sure nothing special and just your run of the mill typical Japanese miso broth. In my opinion this was not worth $35 and I could eat it easily by myself. The sushi roll was $16. Four pieces of a cooked roll. Wow it was good and freshly made it was definitely not special especially for the price point and four pieces. The ambiance was okay and dark. Service was fast and on point. I was the only one eating at around noon on a Sunday. I could get the same products at a cheaper Japanese restaurant for much better price point.

Great experience. Our server was very polite & fun. We had sake bombs & two rolls, both were delicious. We were sat right away on a busy Friday night. Great for a date night or girls dinner.

Sometimes I'm leery of going to Japanese restaurants because you never know if the chef owes a blood debt to the yakuza. And it would be my luck that the night I go there they've finally caught up with him and my wife and I are caught in the crossfire. You won't have this problem at Inyo, the entire waitstaff has all of their fingers so I figure that haven't crossed the yakuza. Our server, Ricky, was amazing and the everything he recommended was terrific. We had two sushi rolls, the Scottish sake salmon, and the Kurry katsu chicken. All of it was really tasty. Ricky was able to keep the ninjas from ruining our meal as he made and served us several awesome cocktails. Finally their tempura ice cream was really good. Thank you Inyo for a wonderful meal! I hope to come back!

Always an amazing experience at Inyo! Our waitress Maddie and server Said are so attentive and sweet. We ordered the steak tips, crispy rice tuna, calamari and spring rolls as appetizers. For entrees, the hot sea stone bowl is a must and the veggie stir fry noodles are delicious. We ordered the dynamite roll which came lit on fire and the salmon crunch roll which was nice and light in comparison. For dessert, we got the Inyo Royale and the ice cream taco (must try)!! Love this place, can't wait for it to be back in West Bloomfield!

Came here with my wife for a day after Valentine's Day dinner. We love splurging and going out to Inyo every February. It's a tradition for us. We started with an old fashioned (me) and a Princess Martini (her.) Tonight's dinner was amazing. She had two kinds of shrimp rolls and I did the Chef's Choice option which resulted in five different really delicious rolls. It's a great deal and I could literally taste the chef's passion and creativity in each roll. It was a great date night for us!

Nice glass a wine to go with this beautiful ambiance!

Inyo has been a favorite for YEARS! The food is ALWAYS amazing! The service is great and the ambiance is beautiful!

The ambiance and the service was great! Our server was amazing, but the food just hit the mark on every level. It was the definition of barely average. We started with the spicy edamame and hot and sour soup. The edamame was the best part of the meal. The hot and sour said it had shrimp and meat in it, but it didn't. There was 1 pc of tofu. Was no where near worth $8 for the cup. Then we got the sashimi salad. The fish was fresh, but the dressing was subpar. We even ordered a second dressing and it was worse than the first one. The Kung pao was sweet and didn't have any nuts. Didn't taste like any Kung pao I've ever had before. The chicken lettuce wraps lacked flavor and were so watery. The lettuce was fresh though. Overall, the service and ambiance were the only saving graces. The food isn't anywhere near worth the price, but even at a lower price point I don't think we would return.

Inyo is always good, great location and the staff is great as well. Probably my third or forth favorite sushi spot in the Metro Detroit area. I been here too many times, so I just stopped taking pictures lol. I have tried a number of their rolls, but my go to is the Spicy California Roll, Spicy Tuna Pizza and I know this might sound crazy...but their seasoned Shoestring Fries lol. Might be some of the best fries I have ever had.

I dropped by the day before Super Bowl Sunday. I hadn't been here in many moons. I sat in my car on a call and ordered my food through Door Dash for pickup. Let me tell you! The parking lot was jumping with cars going in and out! That is always a good sign! The restaurant no longer has a dine in option. They are strictly takeout. One former area with booths is blocked off with a table. Another area with booths appears to only serve for seating for customers while they wait for their order. Beyond the checkout area, two more tables block an area and serve to hold orders ready for pickup. I feel they need to place a curtain to block that dark open area from view with all the pile of boxes. I ordered the sesame chicken with plain fried rice plus a spring roll. The aroma in the car let me know it was going to be a good meal. The portions were great and enough for two meals. It was delicious! Fortune Cookie: "Supportive friends are coming your way." So there's that!

Maybe 3.5 stars. The first bite had a sharp flavor note that I didn't care for, but it wasn't noticeable after that bite. The broccoli was fresh and had a decent texture. I almost ordered the Hong Kong Low Mein, but decided against it as the current price seemed high for noodles, but my partner ended up getting it and I am so glad I didn't order it. There is an absolute ton of it, but the oil is strange, the noodles are strange, and there aren't many things in it, just a gigantic heap of strangely greasy noodles. We also got Hot and Sour Soup which was more like a very thick Hot and Sweet Stew with corn(?) and a LOT of bamboo. It took lime juice and soy to be edible. I don't write reviews often, but this is the weirdest Chinese food I've ever eaten anywhere. Maybe it's the Hong Kong factor or maybe the family that inherited it just have their way of doing things. I would not order from this restaurant again. There's better delivery-grade Chinese to be had in Oak Park/Ferndale and beyond.
