Each staff member was friendly and helpful, and Dr. Young was kind and professional. My surgery was two days ago -- easy and painless, and less than two hours from walking in to walking out. The tech did most of the tests with me and then at one point she brought me out to the hallway and put my up to a machine. I had never seen that before and wasn't sure what it was. But didn't think to much about it. The Doctor came in and stated everything looked good same as last year. A few little floaters and the beginning of cataracts, said the same thing last year, gave me a script for glasses, same as last year. Went out to pay my copay. The lady at the desk said they weren't sure what the bill was due to they had to process it through my insurance. My eyes were dilated so again just went on my merry way. 3 weeks later I get a bill for $165.00. I was very confused. Called them. The first lady stated that it looked like they put it through the wrong insurance as she can see the one from last year. Then I got a call from another lady that stated yes, it was the way it was coded and that to put it through the other insurance would be a difficult, but she will pass it along to someone for further explanation. Then I get a woman called Mona, she stated that the Doctor determined it was medical (even though he saw me for about 5 minutes). I said just to put it through my other insurance. She said that's insurance fraud. So I said well, I'm not paying it, have the tech pay for it. She said no, we can't due that and hung up on me. Then I get a text from a collection company, I saw the Doctor on 6/22/2026. After calling both insurance places. I'm stuck with the bill. They never communicated to me that I would have a bill and that my eye appointment was a medical issue. The refraction test is extra that was not communicated as well nor did I get the results from it. They did say that they will take $29.00 off for the refraction. Make sure you ask questions and don't assume. Needless to say I will not be back , its a shame due to that I really liked the Doctor.

I have probably been to around 50 or more eyeglass locations in multiple states in the last 30 years, not 1 eyeglass shop has ever refused any frame I brought to them. I literally went to another eyeglass store (urban optics) a few blocks away from this one right after and they accepted them.

I don't understand the hate in all these ratings. Made an appointment this morning for what I…read morethought was this afternoon because of a glasses emergency after everyone else in town bucked me. However, I'm an idiot and the appointment wasn't for this afternoon. But they didn't care. They take walk ins so they just changed it right there for me. Performed exam, didn't try to shill fancy lenses/frames, and replaced them right into my current frames just as I asked. Even tightened up the screws on my frames too. Took under an hour and a half, start to finish (including writing this review). Staff was so helpful and nice and patient. Talked about the World Cup with the tech giving me the exam (can't remember her name), including about El Tri's big goal against South Korea the other night. If Stanton gives bonuses, get her one of the black El Tri kits with the tricolor on the shoulders. Will for real go to Stanton Optical every time now, great experience.
