You can find a lot of great products here, but the only reason I'm docking a star is for the checkout line. I've been in 2-3 times now, and every time I get stuck behind someone who happens to know (who I presume to be?) the owner or pharmacist, and they wind up talking for quite a while, and I'm just standing there, trying to buy only a few specialty items I made a specific trek across town to get, waiting. The owner/pharmacist seems like a sweetheart who is clearly loved by and a friend to a lot of people, but....I sort of wish there was a line for people who want to chat, and people who just want to buy their kombucha and bottle of supplements and leave, haha. Anyway, they've only been open in this new location for a month or two, so I'm sure they'll work this out, but otherwise it's a great store and one to check out, especially if you're looking for a myriad of gluten-free options! *UPDATE* They fixed the checkout line issue, and they're still friendly and stocking good products, so I'll give them that fifth star :).

They have gotten faster about filling prescriptions than they used to be, and have a nice phone system that notifies you when it is ready. When he called they had him on hold for 5 min before someone answered and asked him to hold, then they had him on hold for 15 min. I called and they instantly picked up and where friendly- once we told them his information so we could ask about his prescription however they became rude and hung up on us halfway through us trying to figure out what was going on and why they hadn't communicate with us or the doctor. This is particularly frustrating because he literally needs the medication to live. I've been there with him 2 other times where we have gone in and they have been rude and acted like we are stupid. They are not kind or caring. We have had positive experiences with the nurses who did the covid shots and the general staff, but the pharmacy has had this attitude towards us several times and it is not ok. This is enough for me to never want to step foot in this store again because the pharmacy really seems like they could care less if their patients die.

One of my prescriptions had a limit from my insurance that could only be changed if my doctor ordered it and they approved it... but they also could a cash price with a discount card they had on file. She went through 3 of them to find the best rate. This all was done super quickly. Most pharmacies that I've been to would just take my info and let me work it out, all while having a frustrated or snide attitude about making single scrip adjustments... not them. Super happy I made the switch!

They are making mistake after mistake with prescription: promising, but notifying doctors for refill, not noticing existing prescriptions and approvals, not having items that other HEB stores in town do have, even trying to give me someone else's prescription (fortunately I noticed an unusual price, and it was "ops. It is not yours" ). The pharmacy staff is constantly changing. For the last year and a half it has been a constant struggle.
