Hunter was exceptionally accommodating and got me from the waiting room to the doctor's office in no time. Dr. McClain is a no frills, straight to the point guy -- incredibly thoughtful, too. The phone staff is awesome, especially Addison. Thank god there is no automated system...this is where Urban Optics goes above and beyond. The contact fitting went super well (once again thanks to Hunter) and I'm loving the dailies Dr. McClain picked out. There are no hidden costs here -- everything is upfront and clear. I never felt as if I was being price gouged. I even got a $3,000 eye drop prescription for $0 (thanks to the doc and my insurance). I'm happy to call this place my favorite optometry practice! Then I was ushered into the pre exam room by a very capable young man, Hunter, who administered all of the pre-examination screenings. Very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable young lad! After which I was taken to Dr. Greene's examination suite. Dr. Greene performed an absolutely thorough testing of all aspects of my visual capabilities after which he gave my results in a very professional manner. Each staff member was friendly and helpful, and Dr. Young was kind and professional. My surgery was two days ago -- easy and painless, and less than two hours from walking in to walking out. The result was immediate. I was almost blind in my left eye, and now it has 20/20 vision both near and far. The whole experience was incredible! Thank you!

I declined the script as the doctor said there was only a 5% change in vision and my current glasses are working well and when I declined a script at past ophthalmologist's office there was no refraction charge and yet this office still insists the charge is valid. If valid then why doesn't insurance ever pay? If it were medically necessary then I would think insurance would have to pay. And why don't optometrists charge for such? And why not give the choice to the patient up front if they want refraction or not? If it were just the doctors and nurses/assistants I would give them a 5 star rating but because of the billing practice I want to give it a 2 or 3 star rating but will relent and give overall as 4 stars.

I took that appointment, went in to work and left my office around 8:30am. Get to the appointment 8:45am. They then tell me that my appointment is for the 11th which was Thursday. I asked can they go ahead and see me since I am here andI know that I did not get the appointment wrong. The Dr. said I have a 9:00, then the office staff said that the earliest I can see you tomorrow is 10:45. Well if my appointment was scheduled for Thursday at 9:00 am why then you say the earliest I can schedule you is 10:45am. I said just cancel the entire thing and walked out. They did not try and fix the problem or offer me any solution. Just a total waste of my time and they did not seem to care. I then called back to express my disatisfaction and spoke to the manager and he said that he will find out who took the call and get with them. I believe she put the appointment on the incorrect date and this is probably not the sirt time this has happend. I told the young man, for this reason you have lost a customer, he said OK. My time is valiable as well as me as a customer and it appears I meant absolutelly nothing to them and they were just going to keep it moving. NEVER GOING BACK. NOT VALUED. From making my appt. online to the text communication everything was great. When I arrived, I was greatly promptly by the receptionist. My eye technician was Alecia. She was the sweetest young woman ever. She was very thorough in explaining all the procedures I was going to have done. She even recommended some eye drops that were better than my current ones. Dr. Mays was equally as great. He blew my mind as he told me I sleep w/ my eyes only 3/4 off the way shut & this could be creating some dryness !! WHAT ?!?! No one has EVER told me that, including the follow up at my LASIK center. He recommended several ways for me to address this. I highly recommend Crystal Vision & their team for all your vision & eye needs. I wish more businesses were this customer focused !!!

Dr. Lauer who I was told, was here forever and everyone that we dealt with are super friendly and made this visit comfortable. We're normally used to getting the Oakley brand, but they don't carry the brand. They do have a huge selection of choices and name brands for both men and females. My son and I chose this our glasses and we didn't have to pay for anything because the VSP insurance is awesome. I definitely recommend coming here. This place is located in the Post Oak Mall across the Casa Olé Mexican restaurant. The parking lot is huge so you shouldn't have any problems.

8.29.24 Picking up my new glasses…read more I came in and picked up my 3 new pairs of glasses. 2 prescription sunglasses - 1 Rayban and the other DKNY and some regular glasses I use for night driving. I am one of those people who actually uses the glass cases and the cleaning cloth. The Rayban pair came with a nice case but the DKNY pair did not. I was a little disappointed in that. They said they do not even send them any. That's lame. All in all, good service. So far I am very happy with all my glasses. I would recommend them.

Zero stars if I could…read more I bought two pairs of glasses here. Absolute junk. Cheap, flimsy plastic that felt like they could snap any day. When I tried to return them, I was told the free eye exam only counts if I keep the glasses. If I returned them, I'd have to pay for the exam, which costs the same as the glasses. And don't get me started on the exam itself. So either way, I would walk away with nothing. Completely ridiculous. The promotions are a joke. The giant sign says $59 for one pair and $79 for two, but that's just not true. $59 only covers the frame, while $79 suddenly means "frame + lenses." When I asked about details, the staff got super impatient, basically acting like: "Don't ask more, just swipe your card." Now I see why: the more you dig, the more obvious it is that it's a trap. Also, they never tell you the promotion only includes the lowest quality material. I only found out after picking up the glasses and realizing how terrible they were. When I complained, the answer was like: "Well, you chose the cheapest option." Translation: pay more or accept trash. Save your money, save your time, and go literally anywhere else.
