Older LG w/bottom freezer wouldn't get below 20 degrees (0 recommended). Ends up freon pressure was low; Alex performed a system recovery of the old refrigerant and replaced with new. He was finished in 1.5 hours and temps are returning to normal. Price was fair @ ~30% of replacement cost of a new fridge. Alex was personable and emphasized giving Smart Steps a call if the repair doesn't hold. Very pleased with my experience. Looking forward to frozen ice cream vs. "soft scooped."

Update to my previous review: I was contacted by the business and was told that the reason for…read moretheir lack of communication was due to being a victim of a cyberattack. As I had no other way to verify this, I took them at their word and accepted their explanation. For full transparency, however, it is worth noting that this communication came less than 24 hours after I had posted my initial review. The repair technician arrived at my home the same day, and spent approximately 90 minutes going back over the previous repair work and going much more in-depth in this second go-round. After completing the work, he explained what he did, what he found, and then ran a cycle through my dishwasher. The next day, I ran another cycle, and the leaking issue had been fixed. As I am someone who does believe in giving people and businesses second chances and opportunities, and because I have seen them perform excellent and professional work before (see my original review), I am likely to give them my business at least once more to see that this experience is an outlier and not their typical course of business.

I am very happy to recommend Atlant Appliance Repair (Erik A)! Over the past month I hired Erik…read moretwice: once to diagnose my Dacor oven and once to fix a Sub-Zero refrigerator leak. In both cases, Erik was quick to respond and easy to schedule the appointment. In case of the oven, no repair was required but Erik provided excellent recommendations we are very happy with. In the case of the fridge, Erik was able to quickly repair the leak. The cost in both cases has been more than reasonable. We will definitely rely on Atlant Appliance Repair in the future. Thank you, Erik!

Erik came out and provided pricing for the fixes (replacing most components - the freezer is 10 years old). It took a while for the parts to arrive so the fix did take many weeks, but I'm happy with the results. If this fix can last 10 more years, it'll be well worth it.

This is my second time reaching out to Quality DC Appliance Repair - this time for a dishwasher…read morethat died on me. Mohamed offered a same-day inspection, quickly diagnosed the problem, and scheduled a follow-up once he had the parts. With parts in hand, he quickly remedied the issue, explaining the cause and the fix in full. He was very transparent about his pricing and was graciously flexible on the up-front vs. total cost split. A few days later, we actually encountered another issue with the washer (not his fault) and he came out quickly and remedied the new issue as well, and we're all up and running again! He's always prompt, incredibly friendly and professional, and I'll continue to rely on him for our appliance needs.

Quality DC sent Ben over and he found the problem right away. In 1 day, he got me the part and fixed it. And this was no small job. I have an older central air unit with the AC on the roof and the fan in my crawl space. He got in the crawl space and figured it out. Almost more importantly he explained exactly what was wrong. I had water in the pan... why? The fan died. So my unit was freezing the dead fan & when it thawed, the water would fill the pan, set off the sensor and kill the power. Also, my unit is old. I bought the house 7 years ago and the AC was already there. I know the last owner. He didn't install it either. Ben got the right motor in 1 day. The price was perfect. I googled the motor price and he charged me the bottom dollar. I even had him over to flush the coil 2-days later. I trust this company and I'm going to tell all of my neighbors to exclusively use them. A++

NOT Recommended, BUYER BEWARE!…read more Brothers (the two owners) engage in so many deceptive business practices it would fill a book, seriously, so I won't detail my horrific and surreal experience with them. But, ... Take note - they are not an authorized service/repair center for Miele, they do not sell Miele vacuums or parts/accessories and they do not tell you that unless you ask; instead, they sell you grossly overpriced replacement accessories from another German manufacturer which you can find much less expensively online, even at full retail. And for that matter, you can purchase Miele products online. Be smart - read the other negative reviews and believe them...similar things happened to me and could happen to you. I wish I had read the reviews before dealing with them and learning the hard way. Steer clear - save yourself significant money and aggravation and go elsewhere for honest service, repairs, and vacuum purchases.
