Parking on site, for a short stay or as a transitional hotel great hotel to choose. Staff is also great, I wish I remembered names, but I don't. But they were nice and helpful. We stayed here 2 separate times and had 4 rooms in total. Now for my gripes, some things to be aware of. One of my rooms did have an unpleasant odor. You'd notice the smell when you walk in, but it would soon kinda just fade away. Not a deal breaker. On our second stay at this hotel they were going to be having a beach event so they were setting up for that, perfect timing for some drilling? Hammering, power tooling? To happen at 6:38 am right outside of my window. There was no sleeping through that and lasted like 10 min. Again not a deal breaker. SMEG fridges in all the rooms we were in... not sure why? Maybe just vibes or if you had a month worth of groceries (seriously though, isn't this a huge expense for electricity?). No actual garbage cans. Now I didn't turn the mattress to find it, but besides the 0.5 gallon garbage in the bathroom, I didn't see any actual disposal system for trash. My biggest gripe, there was one receptionist who bothered me a lot. He was nice, but it's the kind of incompetence he showed that really begs the question, if you don't like working in hospitality or as reception... why are you here?. On our second stay here he helped me check in, well I helped myself he just told me he couldn't actually help me cause that's not how things are done here. Apparently this place places your room keys in books on a bookshelf, in a book that locks that you get a separate email notification about after you check in. Now this could be completely my fault for not reading my check in instructions, but I don't remember seeing that, and we didn't have to do that the first time. Basically why are you at reception if you're not actively receiving patrons? This is unfortunately like the one thing that kills me all the other people I talked with at reception helped... so you're just choosing not to? Cool. We also asked about extending our check out in the AM as we had an afternoon flight, I asked about this he gave me the info I needed, fantastic. When we decided to extend our check out time later that night he said only one of our rooms viable for this option, I said okay, he said he wrote that in the notes and I'd be charged. I went to confirm in the morning because I just knew in my head he hadn't actually done this and wouldn't you know he hadn't. Thankfully reception in the am was different and she was very helpful and got us sorted, and I didn't ask but it seemed as though both of our rooms would have had this option available not just one. All this to say, we had a great stay here, I would recommend it for short stays. Staff is great, not many amenities, but you're in Miami girl go enjoy the beach. But there is one guy there who doesn't seem like he likes to do some of his job which only slightly negatively affected me, but it bothered me enough to mention it cause like why? Anyways. Now this didn't ruin the trip for us and it was really just slightly bothersome and inconvenient, but this is just one of those little things that bothers me so much.

We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a bay view, and it was huge, complete with a sofa bed, full kitchen, and very comfortable beds. The amenities were great as well, and we enjoyed some time by the pool during our stay. That said, there were a couple of things that took away from the experience. Upon check-in, we were informed of a $200 per day security deposit, which was not clearly disclosed during booking. On top of that, about $67 per day is automatically kept to cover amenities like the gym, pool, and Wi-Fi, which I personally feel should already be included in the rate. Another downside was the pool bar. The drinks were honestly not good, we tried one of the tropical frozen options and couldn't even finish it. Also, while not directly rude to us, the server seemed a bit disorganized and made a comment about another guest that came across as unprofessional. Overall, it's still a nice place for a fun weekend getaway, and I would recommend it, but just be aware of the additional fees and manage expectations around the pool service.

This meant that it never got above 78 degrees for the first day and night. We checked in with the staff at the lobby late on that first night to see if we could be moved, but the room they were able to offer was arguably hotter than our original room, so we stayed put and slept without sheets in the heat. With that said, the man who tried helping us with the other room was truly so nice and apologetic. Luckily, Monet called us the next day from the front desk to check in on us and she was able to get us into a new room with a much newer AC unit that was working great. Beyond that, she made sure our first night was compd and was so friendly and personable that I wasn't even mad about the hot night. It's crazy how great customer service can offset any issues. Give this gal a raise! Haha Overall, I would stay here again. I know it was an unusually hot July weekend and trust that the AC issue will be handled and that the staff will always have guest's backs. That goes a long way! I'm not a light sleeper so it wasn't a dealbreaker, but it might be for some folks. They didn't have a water refill station, but were always happy to give me some water bottles at the front desk. Breakfast was solid as well. The rooms don't have a microwave but they were happy to help me microwave my leftovers at the front desk. Originally built in 1939, this hotel had fallen into disrepair before undergoing a meticulous restoration and reopening as a boutique hotel in 2021. This was my first visit since its rebirth, and I'm happy to report that the place looks fantastic. Equally impressive were the employees we encountered throughout the property, all of whom were accommodating, personable, and genuinely welcoming. My first stop was Cafe KoBo, a small, almost secret spot tucked away in the back of the hotel with a lovely patio. They offer breakfast and lunch items, coffee drinks, and more. This is exactly the type of place where I could see myself relaxing with a morning coffee before starting the day. The espresso they use is excellent. In addition to making us a terrific smoothie, Fred answered all of our questions about the hotel, which gave us a better appreciation of it's history. Cafe KoBo is truly a hidden gem that locals should know about. Only later did I learn that Fred is one of the hotel's senior leaders, which made his hands-on approach even more impressive. It's the kind of personal touch that tells you a lot about the culture they're creating here. Next, we made our way up to the rooftop pool for cocktails... after all, it was happy hour! Jose G., who tends bar there, is engaging and makes a great Margarita. Between the music, sunshine, and relaxed atmosphere, it's a wonderful place to sit back and enjoy life for a while. Before leaving, we stopped at the Greystone Bar, just off the lobby. It's a classy, comfortable space that perfectly complements the hotel's vintage charm. I also had a chance to peek into their adjacent signature restaurant, Serevene. Really nice room, the menu looks fantastic... it's definitely on my list for a future visit. What impressed me most was the people. Every employee we encountered was warm, engaging, and eager to help. They make you feel less like a guest and more like a welcomed friend. I especially appreciated the hotel's unpretentious atmosphere... something that can be difficult to find these days. This hotel beautifully honors its past while delivering the comfort and hospitality today's travelers expect. My next Miami Beach stay will be here.

I have asked for a receipt to show the cost of replacing a fitted sheet is $150 and of course they have not provided it. I travel so often and luckily this is the only time I've ever encountered a fraudulent damage fee form any hotel, but I want to warn everyone to take a video and photos of your room before leaving IF you still choose to stay here.
