I offered to drive it into the bay, but the mechanic insisted, and killed it a few times switching gears. I took my car in for brake service. I was notified that the rotors were able to be resurfaced, and priced for new brake pads. I agreed. She called me back shortly after to say they don't recommend resurfacing but they'll try anyway. That failed so the price increased. They assured me repeatedly that the car would be ready by end of day. I called shortly before closing, and they said it was about to be ready. I went, paid, and watched them back the car out... then disappear. An hour later, they told me that apparently the brake pads were slipping off when put in reverse. I then had to wait until the next day for another set to be delivered & installed which was a huge inconvenience. I get that some things happen, but it was seriously a series of unfortunate events that no one seemed to care about. The apathetic back-and-forth was frustrating. Not too bad of a job, HOWEVER, OMG, it required 340ftlb of torque for the crown. My torque wrench went to 180, they had one that went to 250. I put alot of effort in tightening it, and found that I did that for over 250. They let me double check it was at least that tight. So, I can now get it checked at the dealership. The staff was amazing and friendly. I really appreciate their kindness.
