The employees were super rude. Overheard them failing a guy in front of me on his state inspection because of a tear in his windshield wipers. They did the same to me, but luckily I had a spare in my car. Nonetheless, highly recommend going somewhere else. read more

Don't be fooled by the kind and sympathetic act. Brought my car to this location for a simple alignment and break check. My car was pulling to the right a little and sometimes shaky when breaking- classic alignment issue. After dropping my car off, about 2 hours later they call to give us the "rundown" of what was going on. We were told I needed new brakes, new rotors, new wheel bearing, and my shocks were leaking. Because of this, they were unable to do the alignment until that was all "fixed". Which of course, was quoted at over $2000. We are in our early twenties and do not have that kind of money. The guy said he would "work a deal and make something happen for us to be safe on the road". He even mentioned how he would feel uncomfortable letting his wife or daughter drive a car in this condition. So, of course we were concerned and kind of panicking. My boyfriend said he needed time to look into all this and would call back. We decided it would be best to see for our selves, went back to ask to look, but my car was already out of the bay and in the parking lot. When my boyfriend mentioned he would be inspecting the car himself, the guy up front became very silent. We spent almost 10 hours of our day researching, buying the parts they said I needed, my boyfriend taking my car apart himself to replace what we thought was broken only to find out NONE of it needed to be done. He made it seem dire. The rotors were smooth and not warped, the break pads could be replaced but by no means were awful like he made it seem (we discovered they were installed in 2018 after taking them out), and the wheel bearing was fine. Should've known this because my car never made any noise unless it was shaking when i braked. We decided to change the wheel bearing anyways because my boyfriend spent two hours getting it all apart. The night ended with a broken lug nut, hundreds of $$ spent, and almost 10 hours we won't get back. When all they had to do was an alignment (that would've been $87 at that). If you made it this far, please don't waste your time here. read more

I would strongly caution against this location. We recently moved to the area and against my better judgment, I chose to take my wife's car to this business for a routine inspection. Her car (2018 Toyota Rav4), has less than 40,000 miles and is in good condition. However, I was told it failed inspection because they heard a "metal on metal" noise when braking. I asked them how that could be and they responded that they did not know, but they could not tell me unless I paid them to take off the wheels... After some back and forth explaining that I had brand new brakes and that there is no way that is a metalic sound, I finally had enough and left. I told him I was going to leave and check the issue myself. At home, I jacked the rear up, spun the wheel, and sure enough the rotors were ever so slightly warped. While I do need to fix it someday, this is most definately not a "metal on metal" noise and it most definately is not grounds to fail a state inspection. I had my wife bring the car back the next day in the exact same condition and it passed inspection with the same noise. If this is not a perfect example of a business that lacks integrity, I do not know what is. The business has "Brakes" in the name and they either are too incompetent on the subject to identify an easy issue or they had a nefarious agenda. Either way, if you are not knowledgeable about cars and are looking for an honest business for state inspections, I would highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

I took my car here for an inspection. I ended up sending my kids car back to get his car serviced. They got my inspection done quick and were super friendly! I didn't feel like they were "mansplaining" anything to me. They told me about suggested maintenance that I could do in the future but didn't hold me up because they knew I had to run get my paperwork finished for my sticker. My kid brought his German made vehicle and everyone told me how his oil changes were going to cost over $100. Nope. They did the oil change and the kid had money left in his account when they were done. They treated him just as respectfully as they treated me. I highly recommend this brake plus location. They are very informative on car service and truly generous guys. They definitely do not sell me anything and understand the importance of spending money. I don't feel bad pushing certain suggestions to next time because they understand services can add up. Steven is the general manager and he has shine in many moments such as making sure brake plus has the lowest price. Terrible experience. Dont be fooled at how nice they are. It does not mean that they are taking the necessary steps to care for your car. First off they encourage their guest to write reviews while their car is being service, or upon checkout. They will be nice to you, but they have piss poor mechanics that are constantly making mistakes that can be detrimental to the life of your vehicle. Most places you take your car to will do the preliminary checks on your vehicle such as air filter check, fluids etc . Not just a flat out oil change and then you are out the door.... Well that is not this place here, dont expect them to do the checks. My car engine suffered severe damage because for the 2 years I had been taking my vehicle here for regular maintenance, they NOT once ever checked , recommended or replaced the air filter, even though the technicians and my paperwork shows that it was checked upon every maintenance visit. Well you see for yourself . Pics below of my air filter. I discovered this upon taking my car to the dealership to check on an AC cooling issue. My car is only 5 years old (2015 Infiniti )and I ALWAYS get regular maintenance done on my cars. I would not recommend that any one go here. From out of state on family vacation/road trip. Left front brakes started grinding right outside Little Elm Texas. Stopped in on a Saturday at 10:00 a.m. They took vehicle in and diagnosed promptly. Had my vehicle fixed and back to me by 4 p.m same day. This is impressive on multiple levels, but foremost because the vehicle needed calipers, wheel hubs, pads, and machining of the rotors, which isnt your standard quick brake service. I came to this location for a/c service because it is near my home and convenient to drop off and walk back. That's all the positives. 3 visits later (the first Saturday I left my car they never got around to looking at it) and over $800 wasted, my a/c is still not cooling--but I'm the owner of a brand new condenser unit that I apparently didn't need. Next up, they recommend a $1,700 compressor replacement because that must be the problem now... lesson learned. These guys don't know what they are doing when it comes to a/c service; do yourself and your bank account a favor and get service elsewhere. read more

I've Waited 3 hours to get a simple and standard oil change and brake inspection done. Went in on a Tuesday and they were not busy at all. After brake inspection, one of the store associated came to me suggested me to replace rotors telling there are cracks in them. I went and took a look at them myself and did not see a single crack. He sounded inexperienced, nor does not have a clue about cars or repairs, just trying to get me to pay for repairs that I don't need. I consulted with another person (a mechanic ) in the shop and he had a whole different opinion tell me I don't need a rotor replacement, saying everything is still in great shape, pads and rotors. Another thing too is I requested just a simple brake lubrication and they told me they have to do a rotor resurfacing before lubrication, that to me sounds like they want to me to pay more for repairs that I don't need. Don't come to this location if you're looking to get your car maintenance, your best bet is go elsewhere with knowledgeable mechanics and personnel. They just trying to get you to pay more for what doesn't need to be done. Bad experience and not willing to accommodate customers. Will not come to this again. read more

Fantastic team of professionals. I've never been taken care of better than here at this auto service shop. I usually book online for my car service and they are always very receptive when I arrive. They give honest appraisals of my car's condition and I don't feel pressured into doing any suggested maintenance right on the spot. Prices seem reasonable; I've visited nearly every auto service shop up and down the 380 strip to compare, but I keep coming back to this BP, even to correct a problem that another shop mishandled. My last vehicle ran 140k miles before I finally sold it because the operating costs became too impractical to maintain it any longer. I didn't change the oil every 3k-5k-10k miles on it, that's a certainty. But I do know the cumulative effect of irregular maintenance has on a vehicle's longevity and reliability. I've had my current vehicle for nearly as long as this location has been open, and I don't think I've done a better job keeping up with my auto maintenance thanks to the Aubrey BP team. read more
