I've bought tires at other discount tire locations before, but the wait times had me reconsidering my life choices. This time, I called the LE location at 3PM on a Thursday. After chatting with Grant for a few minutes, he casually told me they could squeeze in a full set of tires on my F-150 by 5PM. I was skeptical... I showed up at 3:20 and saw 4 people ahead of me in line, so I mentally prepared to age a few years. But somehow, I was purchasing tires by 3:30 (with a factory rebate I didn't even know existed--bonus win). They told me my expected drive-out time was 4:56. Very specific... I appreciated the confidence. So I figured I had time. I went to the men's bathroom (which, by the way, was shockingly spotless--like, cleaner than my house), came back out, and before I could even text my wife "Hey, I'll be here a while," they told me my truck was DONE. It was 3:50. I said, "Wait... all four tires??" They said, "Yes sir--balanced and stems replaced." At that point, I was convinced there was a pit crew hiding in the back. The lobby was full, and somehow everyone was getting the same lightning-fast treatment. I even overheard a couple of other customers praising the speed like they'd just witnessed a magic trick. Discount Tire is where I love to go for tires, air checks, questions, and those anxious times when your light comes on on one of the Texas freeways. I ducked into here really quickly one afternoon when that happened. I was able to get checked out in the free air check line, and the guy said they'd been busy that day due to the cold weather (making the low tire lights come on). He topped off all my tires for me, and remember - this is a free service they offer. I always try to tip them. They were great, but this location is a bit hard to find. I came in on November 18th due to a nail in my tire, they fixed it but while fixing it they broke the center cap on my tire and told me they would order a new one and call me within a couple of days. That never happened. I called a week later and they said it had not been ordered and asked me to text them a a picture of one on my other tires so they can order it. Again that NEVER happened. I've called multiple times since and never get an answer or solution. Considering the fact that they broke it, you would think they'd be in a rush to fix it. I went to get a tire rotation and balance the tires are 1yr old and my wife works from home so the tires have about 7k miles in one year they told me I'm almost due for new tires, also when I drove off the service break pads light came came . I thought it was just a glitch since they just rotated the tires (brakes and rotors are a year old).Well the light went away and came back on. I went to DT all they did was send me to Brakes plus who literally made it worse all they did was drive it around and slam on the brakes several times until I walked out and they stopped. They said everything was good. As I'm driving back home a different like comes on all red BRAKE. Please do not go there. (Little elm 423) The least they could have done was remove the wheels to see if any sensors or wiring was loose after the rotation. read more

These guys at the little elm discount tire always save the day for me! Their customer service is excellent, they keep me informed through a cool vehicle tracking text, and they have always been so kind. I had a flat tire this morning and several school meetings I did not want to have to cancel, and they got my tire fixed in 25 minutes. It also helped that I camped outside the door for 30 minutes before they opened so I could be first! They are very popular. Also, a wise tip...always get the warranty for the tires. Perfect service to start from Jake. Bought 4 new tires and a spare and he did a good job finding me the right tires. When I went back the next day to get the spare tire, I was told about 40 minutes for it to be changed. They were a little busy then so I understood but I sat there for a over an hour until everyone just started closing up shop around me. I had to ask some random guy where my spare was and it was just sitting out there on the floor. I dont know know how long it was out there ready for me to take and leave but no one wanted to say anything to me about it until i had to ask some guy after they started locking the front doors with me in the waiting room. Let me just say that I was absolutely blown away with the service I received today. From Chris taking my appt, price matching a competitor and ordering the tires in just 1 day prior, to Alex assigning the job this morning to the awesome tire techs in bay 1, you guys absolutely crushed it. I didn't even have time to take a picture of the new tires before I left because you had it done so fast! I'm a technician myself (without access to a tire machine), so I know quality of work when I see it. This was my second time coming here with a different Tesla. These guys hands down know how to jack them properly as well as being knowledgeable of the higher torque spec and tire pressures. I blew through my OEM tires in 18k miles and don't expect to get more than that out of these tires due to the nature of my driving habits and crappy road conditions, but I would not hesitate even a second to let these guys replace or maintain the tires on my cars. I like this location. They move pretty fast my only issue is that they never replace my tire valve caps when I get new tires or get air. I needed air in all 4 tires when the temps dropped recently and they were not put back on. At least give them back to me if you're in a rush, especially if they aren't the standard valve caps. Discount tire denied service to fix a flat tire. They noticed that I did not come for rotation of tires and they claimed that the tires are worn out becuase of that. If you did not rotate your tires and you have a flat they will say that becuase of that your tires are out of warranty and they will not fix it. Since you cannot leave without fixing flat tire you will be ending up buying another tire or set of tires. They are using the technique to deny service for tire under tire hazard and use the policy against you. Are you sincere to do tire rotation every 5K miles then consider hazard etc. Otherwise all the money is down the drain. They will make you buy a new tire if you show up after buying a tire after 10K miles. Sales is ultimate goal and no service. Not worth it to invest in Hazard etc. Need to fine alternatives. read more

I had ordered some tires online and shipped to DT. They called me last week when they arrived and I scheduled the appointment for today. I arrived and was greeted by Josh, very nice guy, quick and knowledgeable. He took down the info and payment and it took maybe 30 min to put new tires on and reset all the sensor stuff. Very clean shop and great coffee. I didn't venture into the restrooms so can't say anything about that. They have several employees covering the front walk- in business and several employees in the service department per bay. So this a very fast and efficient location. I'm a pretty reasonable person and not one for negative reviews but this place must be avoided. First off - the wait time is always very long. But secondly - for the purpose of this review - is this place is nothing but a scheme to suck you into their flimsy 'warranty' process and all these fees. I bought new tires for them a little over a year ago - their store brand Rocky Mountain - and they lasted 25k miles of highway (with a 50k mile warranty I paid for). They would not honor the warranty because there was some wear on the sides of the tire even though the tire qualified for tread warranty (3/32). But because of the extra wear - the 'warranty' didn't apply as the 'manufacturer' (them....ha!) wouldn't 'take it back'. So the tires are garbage (25k miles no tread) and the warranty is useless. Then you look at their upcharges - $24 to install each tire. What? Zip zip zip and its on. Jeez. Then their $54 flat coverage charge. Total nonsense that makes you think you get your flats fixed for 'free'. No....they charged you upfront! And crappy store brand tires. But they don't care - they are always crowded so you don't matter. They'll be just someone else to rip off. Well - I went over to Wal-Mart down the block - got a better quality tire with a longer tread warranty, full flat coverage, tire rotation, etc. for 30-40% cheaper! Well Discount Tire did have a coffee machine and Wal-Mart didn't so hmm let me think about this one. Wal-Mart wins! read more

I have used this location for years. They were so reliable that this location was the ONLY location that serviced my fleet of 10 vehicles. Today I waited 3 hours after my appt time. Walk ins helped and my vehicle just sat. After questioning them why I was not getting helped they suddenly jacked my vehicle up in the parking lot and let it sit even longer. When I left....there were only 2 customers in the waiting area. They probably helped 20 or more while I sat patiently. 2990 Fm 423, Little Elm, TX 75068 I have always used Discount Tire for my vehicles and typically, even if I did not get the tires there (like on a used vehicle), I will go buy the certificates from them to get the rotate, balance, and flat fix. Typically, my experience is good. However, the past two times I have been in the store, I have not had a good experience. In one case, I came in to discuss buying tires and mounting new wheels I received as a gift, but was told it couldn't happen because I didn't buy the wheels from them. While I understand the policy, what I did not appreciate was the abrupt and dismissive manner in which I was spoken to. I chose to be dismissive of this event as maybe the employee (Alex) was having a bad day. Last week, I needed new tires for my F-250 Super Duty. I have aftermarket wheels on the truck and so I could not complete the purchase of the tires on the website. Instead, I went into the store and made the purchase face-to-face after work ($1800 worth of tires and certificates). I set the install appointment for today. I arrived for my 12:45 appointment at 12:10, 35 minutes early and when I checked in, I asked if there was a chance to get done earlier. The individual checking me in stated that if I was checked in as a walk-in, it would be an hour and forty five minutes. I said, "Thank you. Well, 12:45 it is then." His response was to say, "Yeah...that's what it says" in a sarcastic manner. I waited and noted there were several employees at the west end of the shop, milling about but not actually accomplishing anything to do with mounting, balancing, fixing, or replacing tires. At 12:40, another customer came in and said they had a 12:45 appointment. When 12:45 arrived, their vehicle was moved into an empty bay and I was left waiting. Then, when the next bay became available, another customer's vehicle was brought in, instead of me. I waiting until 1:00, retrieved my keys, and left. I was told I was "next," but based on what was happening, I'm not sure we share the same definition of "next." About half an hour later, I received a call from the store, saying they understood I left and wanted to know what the problem was. I relayed the same information as above, and was told that they had, indeed, made two errors in taking the other 12:45 first, and then taking another vehicle in before mine. When I asked if they should have made a correction then, I was told, "Well, I'm not going to just drop the other vehicle." Their solution was to offer me another appointment, on another day, and promise I would not have to wait. I did make the appointment but later canceled because in my mind, isn't that why I made an appointment in the first place? Also, I do understand that Discount Tire is big now and everywhere, hence why I did business with them, for the convenience. However, I just don't believe the treatment I have received the last two times is warranted as well as their solution to be to promise me they will do again, later, what was supposed to be done the first time when I scheduled my time with them to spend my money on their product read more

HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!! I got here a little after opening about 9am and advised the agent I had tire coverage so he could put in a claim. He goes and looks at the tire and advise he doesn't need to call the insurance they will just tell him to try and repair it first, which is not what the I insurance told me when I called. So he says we will repair and get you out of here in about an hour. Then comes back an hour later says hole was to big needs to replace, finally calls the insurance and they said we'll we know we are getting the payment from them but we can't give you your vehicle until we receive payment. It is now 12pm and I am still here, I called insurance and they just informed me they had to call them back like 30 mins ago to get correct routing number, which I have had to ask this while time for updates. With out an appointment, you'll watch countless people go ahead of you without explanation or given a wait time. I was still going to give you guys a 4, until I got on the road to Georgia and my low tire sensor kept tripping. Turns out, they were not low, your team didn't pay attention to the pressure setting of 33lbs on the inside door sticker and air my tires up to 40lbs. Take it from me, DO NOT TAKE you vehicles here if you care about your property being respected. These incompetent souls damaged this $1000 rim on the rear of my Z06, and refused to replace the rim. They lied and said it was "curb rash". User error on the tire mounting machine coupled with incompetent training and management is more like it. Stay away from this hell hole! Discount Tire, in general, used to have the best customer service in the industry...not anymore...especially the location on 423 in Frisco TX...slow, poor service, get your tires rotated and balanced and the air pressure will be different in every tire, which is good for them because unbalanced air pressure results in faster wear on your tires...they are always trying to "upsell" you on products now...many of the customer service reps act they are bothered by you or that they are doing you a favor by waiting on you...even if you schedule an appointment, you're going to wait...other issues, just too many to list in a short post...try somewhere else if you can read more
