EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE -- NICHOLAS DITTMER DESERVES RECOGNITION I want to personally recognize Nicholas Dittmer at Discount Tire in Prosper for delivering an exceptional level of service. I came in with a damaged front tire on my BMW X5. Nicholas immediately assessed the issue and confirmed a replacement was available--but he didn't stop there. He took the initiative to thoroughly inspect both front tires, identified additional concerns, and went above and beyond to ensure my vehicle was completely safe before I left. Nicholas represents exactly what every company should want in an employee: integrity, accountability, attention to detail, and an uncompromising commitment to customer safety. Discount Tire leadership should recognize Nicholas for the standard he sets. Employees like him don't just provide great service--they build customer loyalty and strengthen the reputation of the entire company. Nicholas, outstanding work. Your commitment to excellence did not go unnoticed. Five stars without hesitation. read more

I came here and I was having a really bad day, it was my first day of college and I got a flat tire and everything was so stressful but I was helped by Ty he is such an amazing human being he has the type of attitude that lights up the room and turns ur bad day into a decent day, not only did he fix my tires but he did so very efficiently and seamlessly and I honestly don't think you could pay this man enough for how much of an asset he is to this company and his work ethic. I highly recommend. Thank you! God bless. read more

This place operates like a well oiled machine. If you know what you want, you can make an appt and get in and out pretty fast, even though it is BUSY! (They are busy for a reason folks). If you don't know what you want, they are experts and can tell you what you need. BTW, I shopped around a little and walked out of two other major brand stores before knowing I would come back to Discount. It wasn't a waste of my time to be able to see the difference between "Pros" and "the other guys"!!! read more

I came here and spent $500 for new tires and windshield wipers. Came back to pick up my vehicle and was missing caps. They got me caps... awesome.... got halfway home only to realize when I used my windshield wipers, the same ripped up ones that I had before I paid for new ones were still on my vehicle. read more

Discount Tire - Tires Near Me - Prosper, Texas

Do NOT go to this location. I've been to numerous Discount Tire locations and have always purchased my tires + install through them across multiple states for over the past decade. This one is by far the worst one. This location has been the only one that left off a locking lug nut on my vehicle. They didn't put on a regular lug nut, oh no, it was just empty. Josh had me email them a photo of one of the locking lug nuts from a different wheel. I did that and almost two weeks later, they called saying it's in. Drove up there and lo and behold, it's the INVERSE of the locking nut. They ordered it again, another two weeks later they tell us to come back and this time they ordered the KEY. How stupid can you possibly be. By this point, we'd wasted multiple trips out there in gas money and time off work on something that wasn't our fault to begin with. One of the managers, Blake, begrudgingly agreed to refund $35 for gas the next time we come in. Another two weeks goes by and Blake calls to tell me the correct part is finally in. We go up there and it shockingly is correct this time. When we brought up the $35 refund that Blake agreed to, we were asked if we had it in writing and they made it seem like we were trying to scam them. Initially they refused since Blake wasn't there and kept saying the manager on site couldn't do it. They finally agreed to give it to us in cash. Bloody ridiculous. THREE additional round trips at 25 minutes each way amounts to 2.5 HOURS wasted trying to get this fixed. read more

This was my second trip to Discount tire in the past three months. I had another blow out and was in need of one more new tire. Cameron worked hard to find the best value at a price that I could afford! He was friendly, competent and knowledgeable! He even remembered working on my Tahoe 3 months ago! I'm very pleased and would recommend going to this tire store! read more

Discount Tire - Discount Tire Technician changing my tires! - Tires Near Me - Prosper, Texas

Here's a Yelp‑friendly version: clear, detailed, but not too long, and toned just right so it doesn't get flagged but still lands the humor and the point. --- Title: Good at Tires, Not So Good at Keeping Their Word Review: Called this Discount Tire in Prosper on January 15th around 5:20 p.m. to ask a simple question: Can you mount a rim I bought for my friend's 2014 Mercedes C250? I explained very clearly: - I bought an original Mercedes-Benz AMG rim (about $500) - It's for the front passenger side - We just needed it **mounted and installed The phone rep told me, almost proudly: "As long as you get here by 6 o'clock, we can put it on. No one goes home till the work is done." Sounded great. Only problem: we didn't have enough time that day, so we said we'd come Friday the 16th january 2026 instead. So Friday rolls around. We show up at about 5:50 p.m.-- still before closing, still within the timeframe they themselves told us. And that's where the experience went downhill. Instead of, "Sure, we told you we'd take care of it," we basically got the opposite energy. Suddenly, the attitude was more "we're closing soon" than "no one goes home till the work is done." The enthusiastic promise on the phone turned into a very different reality in person. Look, I get that shops are tired by the end of the day. But if you tell a customer: - "Get here by 6 and we'll do it," - "No one goes home till the work is done," then you've set the expectation. When the customer rearranges their schedule, shows up when you told them to, and then gets treated like an inconvenience, it's frustrating. What would've fixed this: 1. Honest communication on the phone If you really don't want later jobs, just say: "We recommend coming earlier; close to 6 p.m. might be too tight." 2. Consistency between phone and in-person If you make a promise, either honor it or apologize clearly and own the mistake. 3. A bit of accountability Even a, "Hey, we're really sorry, we misjudged what we could handle at the end of the day," would've gone a long way. Instead, it felt like we were being rushed out the door after being told the day before, "We'll take care of you, no one leaves till the job is done." Bottom line: - They might be fine for basic tire work. - But if you care about your time, clear communication, and keeping promises, this experience was a letdown. Would I rush back here with another expensive OEM rim? Let's just say: my expectations have been deflated read more

This place is always so packed, but that definitely speaks to the level of service they provide customers. I was surprised how quickly I was serviced after making an appointment. I was in and out with new tires in 45 minutes. I've been here multiple times, but really need to call out one of the store managers, Jared. He was unbelievable and definitely went the extra mile to get me taken care of before closing. Not only that, he was genuinely happy to help. I will not stop coming to this location, they were amazing. read more

I was told someone would come help me once I parked by the tire machine, but no one showed up--even after waiting 20 minutes. I eventually had to call the store just to get assistance. On top of that, cones were blocking me in, and I couldn't even get out while a long line started forming behind me. Really frustrating experience and poor communication. Definitely not what I expected. Chris however did come out right away to help me put air in my tires. read more

Simply the best. From my experiences with four vehicles being within my household, they have always remained professional and respectful. Fair prices, so it does amaze me when I see people complain. I love this place! We always get our tires here for all of our cars. Last time I bought all 4 new tires for my van and it was a decent price. Customer service is always on point. I came same day/no appointment because my tire got some metal in it and it was deflating. Not only they fixed it that day it was free of charge! I like the one in the colony off 380. Nice, spacious and pretty new. The most I had to wait is 90mins without an appointment. Not bad especially when the place is packed. They seem to know what they are doing there and they seem to be fair and not pushy when you decide not to buy top of the line prices tires. I definitely recommend them 100%. read more

It's amazing to see such a negative change in experience and service in a year since my last review. I had the absolute worst experience at Discount Tire. I went in for a simple tire patch, was quoted a 2-hour wait, and ended up wasting over 2.5 hours of my time. After finally taking my truck back, they quickly informed me they couldn't patch the tire due to an incorrect payload rating and immediately offered to sell me new tires. I was understandably frustrated and expressed my disappointment with their terrible customer service. They couldn't have cared less about the inconvenience they caused. I left feeling completely helpless and went straight to Xclusive Truck, which patched my tire within 15 minutes. It's clear to me that Discount Tire intentionally wasted my time, hoping to pressure me into buying new tires. Their deceptive practices and complete disregard for customer satisfaction are inexcusable. I used to recommend Discount Tire, but after this experience, I'll never go back. Seeing a once-respected brand stoop to such low tactics is a shame. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Discount Tire at all costs. read more

I was just there again to get a tire. Made an appointment. Very efficient. I was in and out. This location is particularly well run. They will make recommendations if you dont have your tires picked out (website will only let you get compatible tires), but they dont try to upsell you. read more

They get you in and out quickly if you have an appointment. Even if you don't they try to get you in as quickly as possible. My only complaint was the selection of tires and prices for what I needed. Few to choose from and expensive. read more

In short, very disappointed. Sent my son in to have his tire balanced and rotated. They were a staggered setup, no different than some other performance cars in the industry. We balance and rotate our tires every 5000-6000 miles on all cars. Like clockwork. They turned him away, telling him his tires were bald. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking, ok, maybe I missed something, and my son missed something. Checked all the tires when I got home, and none of them were bald. They just lost my business. read more

Unfortunately Discount Tire Prosper has lost our business, as their workman are either not skilled enough to repair a basic slow puncture, too lazy or they are simply more interested in trying to make a quick buck and up sell us to buy a whole new tire?! We have visited this location more than once for a tire repair due to a slow puncture. (Common with all the road works happening in the area) They have informed us the tire has been unsalvageable each time and we needed to buy a new tire costing around $400. Each time we have left and managed to patch/fix the tire elsewhere. Unfortunately this location has lost our trust and future custom, as they have shown they are more interested in making money over doing what's right for the customer. read more

Customer service was okay not great. I was helped by a gentle man named Christopher had told him I needed a patch for my tire he looked at my tire without his equipment and told me I needed a brand new tire. I told him the tire itself wasn't even 7,000 miles driven brand new tire he didn't believe me and said no the tire itself is 2020 which was wrong because it's 2022. Seems as if they don't know what they're doing. Called the manager instead of trying to help he said that their policy is strict. Went to Firestone myself they said it was completely fine nothing needed to be done just the weather had deflated the tire. read more

Discount Tire has never let me down, in 10+ years and across three states. I recently ordered new tires for my vehicle and they performed their usual stellar service. Their website was easy to use to find tires for my specific vehicle, find the store I wanted, and to reserve an appointment. They finished the work in about 75% of the time I expected, so I was quickly on my way. I also love their free air check -- I usually try to get by here (or a Discount Tire somewhere) once every 4-6 weeks to keep a check on the air pressure. This is the place to get your tires! read more

Great place to take your car for a free tire rotation. I made an appointment online and was in and out in 15mins. If you have a Tesla, they use pucks to lift it. The only negative was that they inflated my tires incorrectly. The 2 on the left were set to 45 and the 2 on the right were set to 42 (correct). Whoever filled the left side must've thought my car was a different model, although the screen and door panel tells them what the PSI should be. I ended up going to another Discount Tire to let some air out (I drove around for a bit to make sure it was truly the tire's pressure and not a computer error). No big deal, but I wish they paid attention to that detail. read more

Staff is friendly overall. However, don't try to convince someone who has a fleet vehicle that they need new tires. That's not their decision, that's the fleet company. Second, waiting for 2.5+ hours is ridiculous. Even though I came in prior to many others they pushed me until the fleet company confirmed request read more

Discount tires was busy when I came in this past Thursday. This past week my low pressure light has been on and I ignored it as long as I could before finally taking it into Discount tire off of 380. Cedric assisted me and told me my air was low in one of my rear tires. They had no openings that day but had a few for the Friday the next day. I scheduled an appt and he filled my tire with air to get me through the rest of the evening. On Friday I showed up on time and Cedric was there again to check me in. Within an hour, I came back and they handed me the keys. I said something like "how much do i owe you?" and they told me, "we patched you up, it's free. You just had a nail in the tire." I was so happy!! Thank yo us much to Cedric and the entire team for being honest, trustworthy, and for helping me out. They will get my business from here on out whenever I need my tires looked at! This is like 2 reviews in 1. My ex also took his car here about a month ago because he has a 4 inch gash in one tire. He showed up a few minutes after they closed but they opened up a bay and worked on his vehicles AFTER HOURS. Not only that, but they charged him a very reasonable rate for the tire replacement. Service like that means so much to us and he appreciated the consideration they gave him. The integrity and hard work of the employees here do set this shop apart from others! read more

Poor experience again... My family has used this Discount Tire for eight years. When my husband comes for tire rotation, he gets excellent service. When I bring my car, I get treated poorly. Pedro has helped me a few times and he tells me that I don't need to rotate my tires but he would be happy to balance them. Keep in mind that my car is new and only has 7,000 miles on it. I totally understand what off-set tires mean, but based on my husband's guidance came to move the tires side-to-side. I'm just trying to balance the wear. Then Pedro tells me that I will need to wait 2-hours to get tires moved. But it is Wednesday and the lobby is almost empty with very few people coming in or waiting. It's odd because my husband can walk in on a busy Saturday with no appointment and he is out in an hour. Why do I get vastly different service? Is it the store, Pedro, because I am a woman - what is going on? read more

Jose provided great customer service. I made an appointment and was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Came in to order a new set of tires on a Friday. Was told I would be given a call on Monday when they arrived to set an appointment. They never called so I followed up on Wednesday only to find out the tires had actually arrived the Friday I originally went in. So set an appointment for the following Saturday and was told process should take no more than 30 minutes. Arrived following Saturday and got my vehicle in right away. Around 40 minutes later, saw them pull my vehicle out of the bay and so I approached the counter thinking it was ready and was told they're still working on it. An hour goes by, still no update. TWO hours goes by and I approached the counter and they advised me it was done the first time I noticed them pull it out of the bay. Didn't even get an apology or an explanation, just a "how would you like to pay for this?" Zero customer service skills at this place! Do a better job! read more

Terrible service 3 hours for a flat repair ridiculous the worst service I've ever had a discount tire went there at 12:15 to set an appointment took 3 hours kept saying there's three cars in front of you and five go in and if I hadn't said anything I probably would have been there till 6:00 they just kept passing you by it is the worst discount tire I've ever been to read more
