Lifesavers. I know…read moreI speak for many people when I point out that our phones, for better or for worse, are pretty much our lives. When my phone smashes into a metal table shattering the screen and rendering it unusable (the day before a major work event, at that), my life is suddenly at a standstill. I panic. I can't contact anyone. I can't access any important documents. Can't see work emails. I can't even call an Uber. I am not okay. This kiosk is conveniently located outside of Best Buy so that when you come out of Best Buy after they tell you they can't fix your phone, iCell is there waiting for you - waiting to be your savior. The woman who worked on my phone had to have some actual experience working in phone factories or something. She performed serious surgery on it, dissecting each part with skill and ease, and once she put it back together I had a brand new functioning screen. I'm usually extremely skeptical of mall kiosks, but this one challenges the stereotype. They saved me from having to spend $1200 on a new phone, and for that, I am infinitely grateful.

They replaced it for…read more$100 and I also realized that I needed a battery replacement and they did that as well, so I also took them up on replacing that for $50. After all of that was replaced, I purchased a $20 Screen protector and I walked away. After two minutes, I realized that there was a white glare on my screen, and I took it back and he fixed it within 20 minutes. As a day proceeded, I realize that my phone was glitching and much slower than it was before replacing the screen and the battery. I also realized that my battery was not holding a charge or charging quickly. This is when I called the number I had on my receipt and spoke to a man that said I can bring it in the next day. I returned the next day asking for help or if there is something that they can do and basically they said that since they replaced these with non-apple replacements that there was nothing they can do. None of this was disclosed to me before I asked them to replace these parts on my phone. If I had known upfront that it was going to be dramatically slower altogether I would've never wasted $180 and 2 hours of my time. I am now purchasing a new iPhone, which is why I came to this kiosk in the first place so I could refrain from buying a complete new iPhone. Overall, the customer service and willingness to help a frustrated customer was completely nonexistent. I would never recommend this place.

Brought it to be fixed at Smartfix. Priced reasonably an only an hour wait time I dropped it off. Came back an hour later and the phone was fixed. Paid and went on my way. 2 minutes after leaving the store I received a phone call. Couldn't hear the person on the other end without static. Immediately turned around and went back to the store o figure out what was up. They apologized and fixed it. Fast forward six hours later, I'm at a football game and go to take a picture and everything is blurry. Thought it was too many beers, but sure enough turned out to be a camera malfunction. I live in FL and had an flight the next day. Unable to get back to the store, I went back today (back in DC for work). Brought it back in and they assumed no responsibility. I'll refrain from causing a scene in the store and just offer this yelp review as a warning to others. See blurry picture of the two store employees sitting around doing nothing....

Staples / Party City side:…read more I honestly feel bad for the workers here: they're overwhelmed and overworked. I came here for walk in balloons at the Party City and couldn't even place my order at the that register because it was broken. The lines were growing so long: only one person behind the register for both check out AND returns?! The supervisor was just answering questions. I told him that people were growing frustrated that there's not enough help at the front end, and he was dismissive of my concerns. People were walking out because they were done with the line. If you're looking to make a purchase, be wary of registers not working and willing to wait 30 minutes to make a small purchase that should've been a quick 5-10 minute errand. If management is looking to keep customers, install a self check out line or hire an additional employee or two and pay them well. UPS side: Happy returns are wonderful. Never had an issue with them. If you have an option to make returns with them, go for it! Fast, easy, what my staples experience should've been from the scenario above.

We came in to look for a few things and hoped we would be able to grab what we needed. We wandered around the store in hopes to find what we needed. We just wandered and wandered, because there were no associates on the floor to help us. We ended up finding what we needed, but not in an area where we expected them to be. Without any help, we found what we needed and made our way to the front to pay. The lack of employees effected this area as well. There was only one register open and a person doing a return. So much for making a quick stop.
