As a dentist, I have the unfair advantage of knowing who is the best in our field (Dr. Bockow is the best!). I am so happy I saw case examples and learned of Dr. Bockow's work at two different dentistry continuing education courses. She really is at the top of our field, and airway issues were a major concern for us. Dr. Bockow treats the whole person, whole body health, in addition to straightening the teeth. I realized my son had all the signs and symptoms of an airway issue. He wasn't growing well, snored, mouth breathed, was sick all of the time, had anxiety, night terrors, and also was grinding his teeth. My son just finished upper and lower expansion with Dr. Bockow and all of his symptoms have resolved completely. My son is very articulate for a 7 year old and told me he feels more rested when he wakes up in the morning after finishing treatment. His anxiety is also much better and I know it's related to his improved quality of sleep. In addition to feeling better his face looks healthier. His adult teeth are coming in straight with periodontal support because they have room to erupt where they should. We are so grateful to Dr. Bockow and her team for helping improve our son's overall health and well being. I am starting adult orthodontic treatment with her this summer and feel completely confident in her treatment planning, especially with her background as a dual trained periodontist and orthodontist. We travel from out of town to see Dr. Bockow and now have multiple friends/colleagues doing the same! read more

This is a long overdue review for the Seattle office. The entire office staff have been nothing less than great. They are friendly and helpful. Phones, emails, and messages are answered in a timely manner. They also offer a text option for those who are comfortable doing that and it's actually really convenient. Dr. Cassie Truong is amazing and very knowledgeable. I came here for a consultation for my two boys, ages 9 and 11. She explained everything throughly by giving me scenarios, options, and answering my questions. I chose to move forward with expanders and retainers for my kids. The treatments are going great. I see the results. I have the ability to go in office for check ups or do photos. My boys love everyone in the office. They are great with kids. I'm excited to see the outcome and I couldn't be happier with this entire office. read more

We were lucky to find Dr. Bockow and highly recommend her. Her innovative approach to ortho was life changing for my teen daughter. My daughter had a underbite and crossbite. She also has short roots on her front teeth and two underdeveloped teeth in the front making things more complicated. We saw many different orthodontists and they all said surgery was the only way to go. But we didn't want to put her through that and knew there must be another option. Then we met Dr. Bockow - she took an innovative yet cautious approach to treatment. Using a TAD expander, a face mask and braces she was able to pull my daughter's jaw forward and reshape her face. She also opened her airway making it easier to breathe. Dr. Bockow and her staff were attentive, caring and invested in the outcome for my daughter. We couldn't be more pleased with result. It's definitely worth a consult to see if she's the right fit for you or your child. read more

Please Note: This is based on the experience. They are very nice and knowledgeable. I also couldn't find the Bellevue address here.. It took me a while to think about this review. I waited three months in hopes that the pandemic goes and don't affect any business during these times. Let me start from the beginning. I made as appointment about 2 months beforehand. Dr B has quite a resume and wanted to be seen by her. That's why she has a tight schedule. They even tried to set me with another doctor but someone else recommended her to me. They told me to send some info online. They didn't sent the info first. I phoned them and the lady at the phone told me that her peers in charge of that were unavailable so she was going to help. But again, I didn't received the information. I phoned again and it went smoothly . The day of the appointment finally arrived and I had to do some arrangements for my kid, etc. In the middle of a pandemic. I was hesitant about visiting my regular dentist because of that. Parking was pretty easy even when there are lots of cars. I checked in, waited about 5-10 minutes. I was welcomed and photographed so they can analyze teeth, etc. And as usual, wait for the doctor for some minutes. And for my surprise, another doctor came in. The doctor that was available 2 months earlier. I asked about the other doctor but they told me she wasn't available. I mean whaaaaat?!!!! I waited 2 months, chased staff, managed coronavirus, child, etc to get to an appointment and she wasn't there?! Not event a heads up, a phone call, cancelation, a note???! I was pissed but managed to keep my cool. Don't get me wrong.. They are super nice people but this is unacceptable!!! We all have things to do, emergen it's, work and playing with other's time is not fair at all. Mostly on the middle of a pandemic with risk and in a dentist office! Of course I answered their survey stating my disappointment. Dr. B rapidly touch base with me and we went through my file. It was a nice gesture but still I wanted to talk in person and have a real consultation. They have a very nice staff that follows up recommendations even when all this happened. These made be reflect: - Do we have to chase caregivers for documentation? Aren't they (or their staff) providing a service? - Patients get charged if they don't cancel. But what happens to doctors if they do this? (It has happened to me a previous time and boy did I paid for it). - Is it fair doctors or any people (successful or regular) do this and try to solve it later? read more

I had an outstanding experience at Inspired Orthodontics in downtown Seattle. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and provided excellent care. Jessica at the front desk was especially welcoming and so friendly, I loved seeing her at each appointment. Dr. Truong did a wonderful job thoroughly explaining the Invisalign process each step of the way and thoughtfully answered any questions I had. I always felt like I was in the best care with her. read more

If you work downtown this might be a good office for you to find treatment during your lunch breaks but it's not a good fit for our family. I have young kiddos and dragging them across town through a busy downtown Seattle office building and having to find and pay for parking in that area was a nightmare for me. I also didn't care for the way they treated us. They were condescending and didn't seem to have a lot of experience with moms or young children. My child is not quite ready for treatment but when she is we won't be coming here. read more

I was initially referred here from a practice in the same building and scheduled a consult to fix my bite and associated wear on my front teeth. I had a consult with an Orthodontist that was obviously very fresh out of school(let me guess, 1 to 2 years?) and working for what I am guessing is a production practice(IE The more I sell the more I get paid). I was given an option for Invisalign and jaw surgery. I attempted to ask for data on efficiency, how it could improve my quality of life, and wasn't given anything. It felt like I was getting sold a used car more than someone who is providing patient care. That aside, I humored two of their surgeon referrals for consults who were not overly enthusiastic about the surgery. I give Dr Bockow credit because I was less than pleased and she entertained me and listened to what I had to say over the phone. A dentist I know strongly recommended their practice despite my experience and I reached back out. I later received a nice email essentially telling me to get lost. Not overly surprised based on my prior experience. I am sure there will response about how I am an ass and how horrible I was. I will gladly admit I was displeased and gave feedback in the midst of what was nothing short of a polite conversation(full disclosure I did tell them I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman rather than an Orthodontist but thats as bad as it got). read more

Dr Bockow understands how the whole dental facial system works, in children and adults. I have treated many orthognathic surgery patients with her. Treatment of orthognathic surgery patients is complicated and requires excellent communication and attention to detail which Dr Bockow always provides. I enjoy working with her and her staff.. Her results are functional and esthetic. Thank you Dr Bockow. read more

Dr. Bockow is a perfectionist. I went to her with a smile that badly needed rejuvenation. My teeth had grown very crooked over the years. In photographs, it looked like half of them were missing because of shading. It took 2 1/2 years to straighten my teeth and properly align my bite. I so appreciated her attention to detail. It is my opinion you are never too old to correct your smile. I was extremely happy with her treatment plan and my outcome. I would highly recommend Dr. Bockow and her wonderful staff. Dr. Bockow is a gem. She is smart, kind, patient and has helped my daughter in her Invisalign treatment -- we are both so grateful to her. Her patient and gentle bedside manner as well as her exact attention to detail set her apart from everyone else in her field. As a mother and a professional, she can truly relate to what both kids and their parents need on their journey thru Orthodontic treatments. Our family recommends her 100%! read more

Dr. B, what to say. Not professional and inattentive. Also condescending. Look elsewhere for your long-term orthodontic treatment.

Their customer service and willingness to go above-and-beyond is stellar. I'm moving to CA and they ALL bent over backwards to help me find new providers and support the ones I chose. I'll miss you all so much--THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! read more

Dr. Bockow was immensely generous with her time and knowledge as we discussed a complex decision that may involve orthognathic surgery. She was kind, clear and patient as we explored different routes and alternatives, and ultimately she provided her best professional recommendation and explained why she could not take another approach. I really appreciated her willingness to consider my case and work with me on a timeline that I can commit to and afford for the work ahead. Dr. Bockow is a true professional and very knowledgeable in her area of practice. Have a tough ortho or jaw/airway issue? Talk to Dr. B and the Inspired Ortho team. read more

If you're looking for a great place to get Invisalign, look no further. I was incredibly self-conscious of my smile growing up and was nervous about the "dental/ortho" shame that I would receive when trying to fix it. Dr. Bockow is incredible; she made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the process, but beyond the "nice-fuzzies," what matters is results. This is where this practice truly shines, Dr. Bockow is a perfectionist, and even halfway through my treatment, I have never been more confident in my smile! read more

TLDR; When the braces came off, the lack of attention became apparent. My bite didn't change much despite wearing rubber bands for a good chunk of time, my bottom teeth are SLANTED (no they weren't slanted before), a couple of teeth are overlapping, and they lost track of things they should have been tracking. Perhaps I got very (un)lucky, but I had THE WORSE experience with Dr. Bockow. I won't type the entire story, because it's long and drawn out, but on my first visit, Dr. Bockow promised had a great pitch about realigning my bite, recentering my smile, opening/closing gaps, and an overall improved appearance. During my treatment, I caught myself having to point out overlapping teeth, gaps, etc, because Dr. Bockow never took the time to really look and assess my situation. There was also a lot of miscommunication between Dr. Bockow, her team, and my dentist, which caused constant stress and headaches. When the braces came off, the lack of attention became very apparent. My bite didn't change much despite wearing rubber bands for a good chunk of time, my bottom teeth are SLANTED, a couple of teeth are overlapping, and, the real kicker, they "lost track" of a space and had to try to fix it with the retainers. Needless to say, I'm seeing a different different who was surprised with the work and that someone would try to fix a gap with retainers because it may cause drastic bite changes. Now I've been referred to a different orthodontist to determine if I should get braces a THIRD time to try to fix what Dr. Bockow's team did. read more

Dr. Bockow and her team are consummate professionals and made the experience of having braces (again) tolerable. Best of all - I have been so pleased with the results. Dr. Bockow is a perfectionist - an artist in orthodontics. She is also extremely personable and kind. I miss seeing her and her team (not enough to have braces again). But they all made the treatment bearable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bockow and the team at Seattle Smile Designs. read more

My family first started working with Dr Bockow when my youngest child was about 5 years old in 2015, and we have been so comfortable and happy with Inspired Orthodontics' staff, values, and knowledge that each of us are current patients. We are working with Inspired Orthodontics on Invisalign for each of us, palate expansion, sleep apnea, and a future jaw surgery. Dr Bockow and Dr Truong are both kind, professional, and compassionate. They are the rare combination of medical professionals who up to date on and passionate about the latest knowledge and technology in their field as well as being able to explain proposed treatment plans clearly, patiently answer questions from patients of all ages, and are comfortable working with a timeline that feels best for each of their patients. My oldest child (they/them) has autism, ADHD, and Tourette's, and their preferences and concerns about their orthodontic treatment have always been received by the doctors and staff with respect and a willingness to work with my child's comfort level. The office environment is calm and clean. The front desk staff are friendly and organized, and the orthodontic staff are skilled and easy to work with. Appointments never feel rushed and with rare exceptions start on time. The office supports communication via voice or text as well as the option for in-person visits or progress photos sent from home with feedback from a doctor. read more

Dr. Bockow and her team are simply outstanding. I've been a patient for just over three months and can't say enough good things. I feel listened to and heard, and that I'm in great hands, no matter which member of her team is working on me that day. Scheduling is easy, and they are flexible. Making the decision to move forward with orthodontic work as an adult can feel scary and overwhelming. All those feelings stopped the moment* I slid into Dr. Bockow's chair. I recommend her practice to anyone considering braces as an adult. *If I'm being honest, those feelngs stopped once the braces were actually on my teeth and I started seeing movement. Regardless, the sentiment stands. read more

This is the best in Seattle!! My boyfriend and I both chose Smile Design. They are super professional and friendly. I'm originally from China and my boyfriend from Chile, we don't know much about orthodontics here in the US, but the doctors explained us all the things patiently and in details, like what we care, what the suggested plan, etc. They always give us the best advice to fit our needs instead of adding everything to our plan. They are always nice and make us feel comfortable on braces. The location is also perfect and super convenient for Amazon employees! We had a wonderful experience there and I love my teeth now!!! read more

I was very apprehensive about doing orthodontics due to all of the horror stories that I had heard. However Dr. Bockow and her staff put my fears to rest quickly and got me into a treatment plan that was relatively painless (I did Invisalign). It was amazing to me how quickly I began to see results and also how much better things were looking! I had no idea how much of a difference it would make. My teeth are now perfectly straight and my smile is bright. All of the people at the office provide a professional service and are friendly. It doesn't have a "clinic" feel but rather a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I think that individual treatment plans may vary but the ultimate result will be excellent. It is surely worth a consultation to find out! read more

You will not find a better orthodontist than Dr. Bockow. She treated my three daughters who are as cowardly with doctors as the cowardly lion! She set them right at ease. They LOVE her! She is very intelligent and did an impressive job with each of them. I am sad that she is no longer on the east coast! My daughters had complex cases and she managed to do a top notch quality job with keeping them at great ease. She made them each feel equally special and confident in themselves and in her! We're so lucky to have found Dr. Bockow. My son was diagnosed with sleep apnea at 8, and the sleep specialist recommended that we consult with an orthodontist and an ENT for treatment options. The first orthodontist we went to did not recognize the problem, but when we told the sleep specialist he recommended we have another consultation with Dr. Bockow. She saw that his palate and jaw development were impacting his sleep quality and set up a treatment plan. It felt a little overwhelming at first, because there were a lot of steps, but everyone in her office and everyone she recommended have been absolutely fantastic. My son had a lip bumper, palate expander, myofunctional therapy, and a frenectomy. His sleep issues are resolved--so his mood, energy, and health have improved remarkably--and his facial development is clearly back on track. I'm really grateful to Dr. Bockow and her team. read more

Dr. Bockow and her entire team at Seattle Smile Designs are sensational. Dr. Bockow made me feel beautiful! Ever since I can remember, I have had a lot insecurity surrounding my gummy smile. At the age of 30 i finally did something about it. Dr. Bockow was not only understanding and sensitive to my needs, she was genuine. I came in for a gingivectomy procedure to reshape my gums so that more of my teeth would show when i smiled instead of so much gum. She numbed me, did the procedure, which i felt nothing, and then i was on my way! Literally went to work right after. I was upset with myself for not doing this sooner since it was seriously so quick, and i wasn't in pain after. No blood or stitches. I was healed after a week and now i don't hide my smile anymore.
