As a dentist, I have the unfair advantage of knowing who is the best in our field (Dr. Bockow is the best!). I am so happy I saw case examples and learned of Dr. Bockow's work at two different dentistry continuing education courses. She really is at the top of our field, and airway issues were a major concern for us. Dr. Bockow treats the whole person, whole body health, in addition to straightening the teeth. I realized my son had all the signs and symptoms of an airway issue. He wasn't growing well, snored, mouth breathed, was sick all of the time, had anxiety, night terrors, and also was grinding his teeth. My son just finished upper and lower expansion with Dr. Bockow and all of his symptoms have resolved completely. My son is very articulate for a 7 year old and told me he feels more rested when he wakes up in the morning after finishing treatment. His anxiety is also much better and I know it's related to his improved quality of sleep. In addition to feeling better his face looks healthier. His adult teeth are coming in straight with periodontal support because they have room to erupt where they should. We are so grateful to Dr. Bockow and her team for helping improve our son's overall health and well being. I am starting adult orthodontic treatment with her this summer and feel completely confident in her treatment planning, especially with her background as a dual trained periodontist and orthodontist. This is a long overdue review for the Seattle office. The entire office staff have been nothing less than great. They are friendly and helpful. Phones, emails, and messages are answered in a timely manner. They also offer a text option for those who are comfortable doing that and it's actually really convenient. Dr. Cassie Truong is amazing and very knowledgeable. I came here for a consultation for my two boys, ages 9 and 11. She explained everything throughly by giving me scenarios, options, and answering my questions. I chose to move forward with expanders and retainers for my kids. The treatments are going great. I see the results. I have the ability to go in office for check ups or do photos. My boys love everyone in the office. They are great with kids. We were lucky to find Dr. Bockow and highly recommend her. Her innovative approach to ortho was life changing for my teen daughter. My daughter had a underbite and crossbite. She also has short roots on her front teeth and two underdeveloped teeth in the front making things more complicated. We saw many different orthodontists and they all said surgery was the only way to go. But we didn't want to put her through that and knew there must be another option. Then we met Dr. Bockow - she took an innovative yet cautious approach to treatment. Using a TAD expander, a face mask and braces she was able to pull my daughter's jaw forward and reshape her face. I waited three months in hopes that the pandemic goes and don't affect any business during these times. Let me start from the beginning. I made as appointment about 2 months beforehand. Dr B has quite a resume and wanted to be seen by her. That's why she has a tight schedule. They even tried to set me with another doctor but someone else recommended her to me. They told me to send some info online. They didn't sent the info first. I phoned them and the lady at the phone told me that her peers in charge of that were unavailable so she was going to help. But again, I didn't received the information. I phoned again and it went smoothly . The day of the appointment finally arrived and I had to do some arrangements for my kid, etc. In the middle of a pandemic. I was hesitant about visiting my regular dentist because of that. Parking was pretty easy even when there are lots of cars. I checked in, waited about 5-10 minutes. I was welcomed and photographed so they can analyze teeth, etc. And as usual, wait for the doctor for some minutes. And for my surprise, another doctor came in. The doctor that was available 2 months earlier. I asked about the other doctor but they told me she wasn't available. I mean whaaaaat?!!!! I waited 2 months, chased staff, managed coronavirus, child, etc to get to an appointment and she wasn't there?! Not event a heads up, a phone call, cancelation, a note???! I was pissed but managed to keep my cool. Don't get me wrong.. They are super nice people but this is unacceptable!!! We all have things to do, emergen it's, work and playing with other's time is not fair at all. Mostly on the middle of a pandemic with risk and in a dentist office! Of course I answered their survey stating my disappointment. Dr. B rapidly touch base with me and we went through my file. It was a nice gesture but still I wanted to talk in person and have a real consultation. They have a very nice staff that follows up recommendations even when all this happened. These made be reflect: - Do we have to chase caregivers for documentation? Aren't they (or their staff) providing a service? - Patients get charged if they don't cancel. But what happens to doctors if they do this? (It has happened to me a previous time and boy did I paid for it). - Is it fair doctors or any people (successful or regular) do this and try to solve it later? read more

If you work downtown this might be a good office for you to find treatment during your lunch breaks but it's not a good fit for our family. I have young kiddos and dragging them across town through a busy downtown Seattle office building and having to find and pay for parking in that area was a nightmare for me. I also didn't care for the way they treated us. They were condescending and didn't seem to have a lot of experience with moms or young children. I was initially referred here from a practice in the same building and scheduled a consult to fix my bite and associated wear on my front teeth. I had a consult with an Orthodontist that was obviously very fresh out of school(let me guess, 1 to 2 years?) and working for what I am guessing is a production practice(IE The more I sell the more I get paid). I was given an option for Invisalign and jaw surgery. I attempted to ask for data on efficiency, how it could improve my quality of life, and wasn't given anything. It felt like I was getting sold a used car more than someone who is providing patient care. That aside, I humored two of their surgeon referrals for consults who were not overly enthusiastic about the surgery. I give Dr Bockow credit because I was less than pleased and she entertained me and listened to what I had to say over the phone. A dentist I know strongly recommended their practice despite my experience and I reached back out. I later received a nice email essentially telling me to get lost. Not overly surprised based on my prior experience. I am sure there will response about how I am an ass and how horrible I was. I will gladly admit I was displeased and gave feedback in the midst of what was nothing short of a polite conversation(full disclosure I did tell them I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman rather than an Orthodontist but thats as bad as it got). read more

TLDR; When the braces came off, the lack of attention became apparent. My bite didn't change much despite wearing rubber bands for a good chunk of time, my bottom teeth are SLANTED (no they weren't slanted before), a couple of teeth are overlapping, and they lost track of things they should have been tracking. Perhaps I got very (un)lucky, but I had THE WORSE experience with Dr. Bockow. I won't type the entire story, because it's long and drawn out, but on my first visit, Dr. Bockow promised had a great pitch about realigning my bite, recentering my smile, opening/closing gaps, and an overall improved appearance. During my treatment, I caught myself having to point out overlapping teeth, gaps, etc, because Dr. Bockow never took the time to really look and assess my situation. There was also a lot of miscommunication between Dr. Bockow, her team, and my dentist, which caused constant stress and headaches. When the braces came off, the lack of attention became very apparent. My bite didn't change much despite wearing rubber bands for a good chunk of time, my bottom teeth are SLANTED, a couple of teeth are overlapping, and, the real kicker, they "lost track" of a space and had to try to fix it with the retainers. I was very apprehensive about doing orthodontics due to all of the horror stories that I had heard. However Dr. Bockow and her staff put my fears to rest quickly and got me into a treatment plan that was relatively painless (I did Invisalign). It was amazing to me how quickly I began to see results and also how much better things were looking! I had no idea how much of a difference it would make. My teeth are now perfectly straight and my smile is bright. All of the people at the office provide a professional service and are friendly. It doesn't have a "clinic" feel but rather a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I think that individual treatment plans may vary but the ultimate result will be excellent. We're so lucky to have found Dr. Bockow. My son was diagnosed with sleep apnea at 8, and the sleep specialist recommended that we consult with an orthodontist and an ENT for treatment options. The first orthodontist we went to did not recognize the problem, but when we told the sleep specialist he recommended we have another consultation with Dr. Bockow. She saw that his palate and jaw development were impacting his sleep quality and set up a treatment plan. It felt a little overwhelming at first, because there were a lot of steps, but everyone in her office and everyone she recommended have been absolutely fantastic. My son had a lip bumper, palate expander, myofunctional therapy, and a frenectomy. His sleep issues are resolved--so his mood, energy, and health have improved remarkably--and his facial development is clearly back on track. Dr. Bockow made me feel beautiful! Ever since I can remember, I have had a lot insecurity surrounding my gummy smile. At the age of 30 i finally did something about it. Dr. Bockow was not only understanding and sensitive to my needs, she was genuine. I came in for a gingivectomy procedure to reshape my gums so that more of my teeth would show when i smiled instead of so much gum. She numbed me, did the procedure, which i felt nothing, and then i was on my way! Literally went to work right after.
