The doctor I saw was fine, and I had a positive experience with the actual service. However, I wish I had paid closer attention to other reviews mentioning billing concerns. I was surprised to receive a bill for nearly $500 after being told by the front desk that the service would be covered by my insurance. The billing process ended up being frustrating and unclear, and I was not able to get the level of documentation or clarity I was hoping for. I would strongly recommend confirming all costs in writing ahead of time and keeping detailed records of communication to avoid unexpected issues. I would absolutely never recommend this place. They gave it to me in the office. Bleeding wasn't severe at all and stoped in 30 minutes. I didn't had to take any pain free medications and I was already feeling better next day. Had a wisdom teeth extraction scheduled here on Oct 1st, and right from the consultation everything was super smooth. I wanted to get all 4 out but Dr maring explained the risks for the bottom 2 impacted teeth and recommended doing 3 out of 4. Went with his advice and did not feel pushed to do more than what was required to deal with the issue. Good estimates for which they came a bit under with insurance, and with general anesthesia the whole procedure was painless and I dont recall a thing. Worst Oral Sugeon ever! I need a left top molar extracted. He refused to sedate or numb me, and instead took his extraction instrument and cracked my tooth giving me excruiating pain! My blood pressure was up before the surgery and he stormed in the room saying let's get on with this surgery. The young nurse noticed he packed much gauze in my mouth to the base of my throat, causing me to start choking. He instructed the nurse to keep the suction, which made it worse. She removed the gauze, and Dr Maring slammed his palm on my forehead saying stop fighting me. The room was freezing and the nurse got me a heated blanket. Then Dr Maring proceeded to extract my molar all with numbing it. Then stormed out of the storm. I got through that horror of surgery only because that nurse stayed with me, got the gauze out of my mouth, got me a heated blanket and held my hand. I do not recommend anyone having Dr Maring as your surgeon. A young patient died months before my procedure, Dr Mating's wife performed that surgery. Stay away from this whole practice. read more

As far as having teeth removed, Dr. Maring is one of the best. He was recommended by our great dentist Steven Prince and we were both happy with the recommendation. The boy had all four of his wisdom teeth out months ago after a terrible flare up. Dr. Maring was very accommodating and his staff was friendly. A few weeks ago, I got my two wisdom teeth out as a precaution. I've never had any problems thankfully. Dr. Maring did an excellent pre-check up and calmed me down about the whole procedure. Wow! Dr. Maring and his staff are worth every star! Two years ago, I was referred by my regular dentist to Dr. Maring to have 3 wisdom teeth out. I went for the consult and was impressed by every staff member, each professional interaction, and how polished the practice was. I left the consult and did not return to have the surgery. Now, before you make any assumptions, I will tell you that I didn't schedule my appointment because my dental plan needed to provide an estimate of how much they would pay and how much my portion would be. In that time, I chickened out. I've been having dental work done on my horrid teeth for most of my life. However, when I was told in the consult that I would be put under, I was outta there! I was not afraid of the dental work; I was terrified of going to sleep and waking up missing teeth from my skull. Over the last two years, I have endured significant pain in one impacted tooth and listened to lectures from my regular dentist about getting those wisdom teeth out. I gathered my courage and went back for a second consult. The consult went well and my experience was much as it was the first time - great staff, highly professional, and a polished product. We came around to talking about the anesthesia again and I expressed some resistance. Basically, I was told, with three wisdom teeth and the impacted one, that was really the best course of action. This time, I scheduled the appointment in a few weeks. I was determined not to chicken out and face the reality that it had to be done (unconscious or not). The surgery went exactly as described. My recovery was quick. I went back for my follow up mainly because I forgot to cancel and I had food getting stuck in my tooth holes all the time. The follow up went well and again - I had a great experience with all staff members there. After the follow up, I had an issue with billing and insurance. Worth. Every. Star. It's been a little over 24 hours since I got all of my wisdom teeth out, and surprisingly I'm feeling a-ok! Like many others, I had been putting this procedure off for the last 4 years or so. Every time I went to the dentist, I got the same speech -- "you should probably get those taken out." Yeah, yeah. I actually had a consultation with a different oral surgeon last year and ended up canceling my appointment because I didn't feel comfortable with the vibes I felt from that office. This was definitely NOT the case with Dr. Maring and his staff (praise Yelp for helping me find him!!). I went in for a consultation 3 weeks ago, and they made sure to thoroughly address all of my concerns. Dr. Maring is warm, friendly, and he even cracked a couple jokes before I left my consultation. He told me not to worry, and I believed him. :) Yesterday, check-in was a breeze and the sweetest nurse prepped me for the procedure. She was soft spoken and told me she'd take good care of me. Very genuine and easy to trust. Dr. Maring came in, inserted my IV and asked me if it was working yet. I said no, and he said "it will soon." That's the last thing I remember. Next thing I knew, I was awake and being walked over to the recovery area. It literally felt like only two minutes had gone by. The bleeding stopped pretty quickly. I was able to take the gauze out just after an hour. I spent the rest of the day laying around, watching tv, and taking occasional naps. All in all, I've been pretty relaxed. Unfortunately, I fell...hard. After being sent home from the emergency room on a Saturday with what was diagnosed as a bruised mandible and cracked teeth, I promptly saw my dentist on Sunday. There I was told that they thought I had broken my jaw in THREE places!! I was then referred to Dr. Maring to be sure. Dr. Maring and his staff are exceptional. They were able to fit me in that Monday and confirmed that I did indeed have three breaks. Amazingly, Dr. Maring said he would take care of me that same day and perform the surgery to begin the repair. Breaking your jaw in three places is frightening. Fourteen hours ago Dr. Maring removed all four of my wisdom teeth, and I'm incredibly impressed with how well it went. The consultation a couple of weeks ago was brief, but both the nurse and Dr. Maring were very thorough without treating me like an idiot (e.g. some dentists have been very condescending, in my experience). I felt completely prepared for the actual surgery, and my many, many fears were alleviated. The operation today was also incredibly fast. I waited no more than 5 minutes before a nurse took me back, and then three nurses prepped me for surgery in probably no more than another 5 minutes. Then Dr. Maring appeared, inserted the I.V. and started the "twilight" drugs, said something like, "You'll feel that taking effect within a couple of minutes"... And next thing I knew, it was 20-30 minutes later and a nurse was walking me to the recovery room. Despite the fact that I had all four wisdom teeth and they were only partially erupted, I've been completely pain-free all day (with only minimal Percocet, which I didn't even start until 8 hours after the surgery, and only as a preventative measure), the bleeding stopped within 10 hours, and I've had no problems following the clear directions they gave me to ensure a swift recovery. Overall, I have to say that I avoided getting my wisdom teeth out for 12 years out of fear of the procedure, and now I feel like an idiot because Dr. Maring made it such a non-event. He was really quick and his staff are all very responsive to my insurance situation(where they don't want to pay but know they have to pay and are stalling for time by saying they won't pay). Thanks to Sarah at the office for being really on top of things. The only thing that kind of deterred me from them initially was how robotic they all sounded during my consultation. All the questions I asked no matter how ridiculous were all answered in like a really "yes, I've heard that question 1293480329 times before attitude." Got the same treatment from Dr. Maring, but then we really have to take in the fact that they're probably all really jaded with everything. I mean, he has been doing this for many years so it's understandable...but it would have been nice if they at least faked that they cared. I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted in May, 2016. My insurer was billed about $1,500 and I paid $350 out of pocket. That's just to give you a ball-park estimate. Your expenses may vary. I was anxious going into the procedure, but Dr. Maring and his team did an amazing job. I'll tell you about my experience so you know what to expect from your operation. --The Initial Consultation-- I met with Dr. Maring for a 20-min. consultation. After taking X-rays he recommended surgery and prescribed pain medicine in advance. Two important takeaways from this meeting: (1) get the pain medicine *before* the procedure; (2) don't eat or drink for 8 hours prior to the surgery. --The Day of the Surgery-- A member of Dr. Maring's surgical staff directed me to an exam room where I rinsed with antiseptic mouthwash. A few minutes later she brought me to the room where I would have the surgery. It was an unintimidating, sunny space with a window overlooking the Monorail. The assistant attached breathing / heart-rate monitors to my arms and chest, and she put an oxygen strip over my nose. She explained what she was doing every step of the way, which made me feel less anxious. At this point you'll hear some beeping that represents your vitals. Dr. Maring appeared to greet me. He said, "I'm going to give you some medicine to help you relax." I felt a small pinch in my left arm -- nothing painful, then I closed my eyes and fell asleep. When I woke up, I was sitting in a chair next to my girlfriend and a surgical team member. I hung out there for about 15 minutes as I woke up and the staff member went over post-op instructions. The entire thing, including check-in, debrief, etc., took less than 1 hour. --Recovery-- I slept for 2 or 3 hours following the surgery. My mouth was numb, but I didn't feel any pain. I had to stick to soft foods like ice cream and pudding. On the second day I felt minor discomfort as my mouth swelled where the teeth had been removed, but swelling after surgery is part of recovery. I've heard that discomfort varies a lot from patient to patient. You can minimize your chances of pain by following the post-op instructions carefully. Dr. Maring and his team were friendly, professional and skilled from start to finish. Plus, their office is conveniently located for anyone who works Downtown. Come here if you like having your money stolen. I wouldn't recommend anyone go to this dentist. The receptionist and insurance coordinator have both been giving me the run-around for over a month so far. Especially the insurance coordinator. I went in to have my wisdom teeth removed. The day of the procedure, just before having my teeth removed, they made me pay an extra $300, because they had billed the wrong insurance two weeks prior. This was especially upsetting, because I had told them repeatedly before, at every appointment, that my insurance had changed, and that they should bill my new insurance. The insurance coordinator and receptionist responded by just saying I needed to front the $300, and that the new insurance would issue a refund for the difference in 2.5 weeks. I was really frustrated with them at this point, but I paid the extra $300 giving them the benefit of the doubt, hoping that as they promised, I would receive a check for $300 in 2.5 weeks. I patiently waited for 2.5 weeks. They never called me. I called them today to find that, again, they billed the insurance incorrectly, and didn't get word back until a few days ago. And now they're saying they're going to bill them again, with the right details this time, but that it will take at least one MONTH for insurance to process the claim. So now I'm stuck waiting for another month, on top of the 2.5 weeks I've already waited, for them to get back to me about $300 that they owe me, that they had me front in the first place. I have zero faith in them now. At every appointment prior to surgery, I checked that there were no insurance hiccups, and that I would be paying the right amount, they said "no problems". And now they just respond with "it's out of our hands; insurance takes a month to process the claim" No. It is your fault for not billing correctly or checking even one of the times that I asked you to make sure. Every single person I have talked to at this office just says, "Sorry, it's out of our hands." Now I'm out $300 and I'm stuck dealing with their mess, while they're giving me the run-around. I'll let you know what happens in a month, I'm not optimistic that anyone in this office will pull through. Never going to these people again for anything. read more

Having dental surgery is never fun. At least that's my perspective. I've had 3 wisdom teeth and 1 other tooth removed by Dr. Maring, and he's also inserted the metal screw necessary for an implant. So I've had 3 or 4 different visits for procedures here, and Dr Maring is so skilled, that I've never had to take pain killers any stronger than regular Tylenol. When I had the screw inserted for my implant, the procedure was so skillfully carried out, that I didn't even need Tylenol afterwards. Dr Maring - and all his staff - are highly professional, and were very re-assuring prior to, and after my procedures, which really helped put me at ease. I was referred to him by a dentist who I first got in contact with, but who said my teeth (particularly one that came in completely sideways) would be way too tricky for him to remove. So he referred me, I made an appointment with Dr. Maring, had a consultation, and it seemed that this guy knew what the heck he was doing. He's easygoing, but sharp. 80% was billed to my insurer, and 20% to me ($300 and change to me). The procedure was simple and effortless. Like half an hour long! He did a fantastic job. It's been 2 weeks and I am for the most part recovered, feeling great. Only thing is there are some small holes there, which is still to be expected. The post-procedural steps were simple and straightforward, and really helped. The only thing I can't speak to is the medications, because I didn't take any of them. I'd rather deal with the pain than take any meds. Honestly, the pain was manageable, everything went great, and I would totally recommend Tom. read more

I presented Dr. Maring with an impacted, encysted, infected molar. He determined that the best course of treatment was surgery to remove the tooth, and the adjacent tooth which had been killed by the infection. He was concerned that the loss of bone from my jaw put me at risk of accidentally breaking the mandible, and was very clear and direct about the dangers and likely ramifications of such a break. Prior to surgery he was planning to extract the tooth by making an external incision, with all the trauma that implied. However during surgery he was able to effect the extraction from inside my mouth, avoided breaking my jaw, and I emerged with virtually no complications other than some numbness which has faded to almost nothing. I cannot recommend Dr. Maring more highly. He's a skilled healer and an excellent communicator. read more

Update on Oct 2016. After the first operation, the amount of oral infection declined significantly. Motivated by the result, one year after the first operation, I went to Dr. Maring's office to remove two other wisdom teeth. Again, it is an awesome experience. The whole process takes less than 30 minutes. There are no pain other than the needle of the aesthetics. The bleeding is minimal and stopped very soon. I followed their post op instruction. After a few days, I can hardly feel anything so I even stopped the OTC pain reliever. The only regret that I have is that if I knew that it was this easy, I should have done this long time ago. Man, the reviews here aren't lying. I'm about 12 hours from having had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled, two of which were unerupted and completely buried in my upper jaw. I've been putting off having my wisdom teeth dealt with for years. I could not be any happier with the job Dr. Maring and his team did. My consultation a few weeks ago was efficient and easy. Bing bang, in and out. Today? Man, I was so anxious when I got there. But Dr. Maring and his team are incredible professionals. They do this all the time and it shows. I was thru reception, thru rinsing out my mouth, in the chair, hooked up to monitors and oxygen, and fast asleep no fewer than 10 minutes after I arrived. No muss, no fuss, not rushed, just efficient. I really appreciate that Dr. Maring appears to do all of his extractions under general anesthesia instead of nitrous. Just take a nap and wake up fixed. The assistant walked me through everything she was doing, and was super responsive and kind when I shared how nervous I was, Dr. Maring was kind to me about my needle anxiety (and deft in inserting it with minimal poking) and, like magic, three or four deep breaths later, I was sitting next to my buddy in the recovery room waking up with a mouthful of gauze. (Thank god we live in an era with effective general anesthesia. Incredible.) We switched the gauze twice while I was sitting there waking up (I'm a bleeder), but they'd gotten my GA dose so spot on that I was able to (with some assistance from my friend) walk myself out of the building about 20 minutes after surgery. Y'all, I'm 12 hours out and I feel *fine.* I took one of the prescription pain pills he gave me right away when I got home along with my antibiotics, and fell asleep for a few hours. I woke up, replaced the gauze one more time fell back to sleep, and within an hour I was awake, with no more packing required and I was entirely without pain. I took one more dose of just regular OTC Advil just to ease what I'd describe more as muscle soreness in my jaw from having had my mouth open for a long time during the procedure. The actual removal sites don't really hurt at all as long as I'm gentle with them (occasionally, swallowing too hard makes them twinge -- remember to take it easy) and bleeding is entirely under control. I'll keep taking the Advil to manage pain, if and when it crops up, and I'm gonna lay low and rest the next few days (following the instructions you'd get anywhere after an extraction or four: soft foods, no straws or candy, etc.), but otherwise this has been so, *so* much easier than I anticipated. If I knew then what I know now about Dr. Maring's office, Id've just done this years ago. If you're nervous, and looking for someone who's gonna just get you through it with a ton of competence and efficiency, I cannot recommend Dr. Maring highly enough. As I told him in the office before I left this morning: "Your Yelp reviews are well earned!" Costwise, with my insurance, it was a bit more expensive than others here mentioned -- about $650 out of pocket -- but my uppers were unerupted and were a bit more squirrelly coming out, and we anticipated that going in. I like most people waited to have my wisdom teeth removed. After deciding to get braces again as an adult I asked my dentist for a referral. They referred Dr. Maring and I'm so happy they did. The day of my consultation was a breeze, I checked in and took a seat since I filled out my intake forms online. Dr. Maring was very to the point about the procedure and answered the questions I had with 100% certainty which was great. I booked my appointment with ease and was sent my patient portion later that afternoon so I knew what I was getting into cost wise. Day of the procedure was great, I went in early, got prepped, had an amazing nap and woke with with no pain, no grogginess and very very very minimal swelling (no chipmunk cheeks for me). Today I went in for my follow up appointment and everything looks great and feels great, and my suture holes are healing fast and well. I was referred by my general dentist and I made an appointment to get my wisdom teeth pulled. The waiting time was minimal, the front office was helpful, and both the dentist and his assistant were very informative. After my procedure, I received a phone call to see if I was feeling okay. Getting a refill for my medication was easy and was called to the pharmacy almost instantly. I did however receive a bill after my procedure with a remaining balance because there were some parts that my "insurance would not cover", after all, but I feel that the staff should have been able to give me the total up front. Maybe ask a few more questions about the year's visits instead of doing the same routine for every patient without personalizing it. read more

I really wish that I could give a rating for how well Dr. Maring would have treated me had I gotten my wisdom teeth pulled. However, I was rejected service and charged a bill because the staff didn't properly check to see if my insurance would cover the consultation x-ray. I was a visiting consultant working in Seattle Monday through Thursday. My wisdom teeth were causing me significant pain, waking me up at 3-4 am every morning. I took off time from work to attend my scheduled appointment, got my panoramic x-rays done, and sat down only to be told I wasn't allowed to get the surgery done without a friend to pick me up afterwards. I wish I had been told that upfront, rather than wasting time coming to this office. Three months later I was hit with a bill for $92 because they hadn't checked prior to my appointment whether my insurance would cover the x-ray. I was referred to Dr Maring by my dentist for removing my wisdom teeth. I begged for an appointment ASAP since one was infected. They got me in the next day due to a cancel for a consult. Dr Maring took X-rays and said he could do the procedure the next morning as long as there was someone to drive me. They were also able to give me a decently accurate insurance quote so I would know what to expect in terms of cost. The procedure was quick - 30mins for two wisdom teeth. The recovery went very smoothly and I had zero problems. He's not someone who will hold your hand but he will get the job done quickly and well. To be honest, I never wrote any review before, but I thought I would share my experience. My review is not for the doctor, but for his staff. No very professional. My Wisdom teeth was hearting during the weekend so I decided to call an specialist on Monday. I got an appointment with Neal Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, but they couldn't see me until Thursday, and it was getting painful. Also, I just got a job offer and I was supposed to be starting the following Monday, so I tried to find other specialist that could see me before. This is when I called Thomas S Maring, MD DMD office. I explained them my situation and told them it was urgent. They were very nice and told me the doctor could see me the next day (Tuesday) and had surgery on Friday the same week. Also, they told me that Mr Maring was very good accommodating patients, so I probably would have my surgery before Friday. After my pre-check, I went to schedule my surgery. What was my surprise when they told me they were very busy and the only available day for surgery was next week, on Tuesday! In a week time! What???. They apologized and said that no one took my appointment for surgery when I called them and now was full. So at the end, I asked them for a copy of my x-rays (they didn't even bother to offer me an envelope) and went back to Neal Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The staff was super helpful. Not only I got an appointment to see the doctor for the next day (Wednesday), but also schedule my surgery for Thursday!. So I have 4 days to recover before starting my new job! I am not only disappointed because of the service, but also because they cost me money as I had to do everything again with Neal Oral. read more

Have you ever been a 33-year-old person with late-blooming teeth who has ignored the urging of dentists for years to get your wisdom teeth taken out because the idea of surgery terrifies you? Have you then watched in horror as one of your wisdom teeth started to emerge into your mouth with the rest of your regular teeth, but only halfway, causing your mouth to hurt in weird ways you never thought possible? Have you then continued to ignore the frantic referrals to oral surgeons from your dentist until you have finally had your third major toothache in a month and it seems like it's either time to let someone brutally rip them out or start choosing the font for your headstone (note: if you don't pick one in advance, your awful relatives will probably make it Comic Sans)? WELCOME TO MY LIFE. This is what happened to me and led me, teary and anxious, to Dr. Maring's office. I went in for my consultation and found all the medical staff to be super helpful and not at all annoyed by my mile-long list of questions (Will I die? Will you break my jaw? Will I live the rest of my life regretting my decision to let you do this to my mouth?). The doctor was pretty up front with me about the fact that my age put me in a "grey area" where the risk of nerve damage and the benefits provided by getting the teeth removed are nearing even - it's better to get this done when you're younger - but looking at my x-ray together and getting some statistics from him made the decision a lot easier. I asked him if I were his kid, would he suggest I get the surgery - he declined to answer, saying he's "not in the business of convincing people to get surgery" and noting that his job is just to present the facts, risks, and benefits, and let each person decide what's right for them. I asked him if he liked his job, and he said he loves it because he's a problem solver and enjoys being able to fix an issue in someone's mouth in under half an hour! At the end of our meeting, he patted my hand and said, "We'll take good care of you here" and it just made me feel better. I scheduled my surgery for three weeks from my initial appointment and spent that time preparing, having anxiety attacks about twilight sedation and dry socket and pain, and not sleeping much. On the morning of the surgery, we arrived right around 8am (side note: DO NOT try parking in this building's garage - it's a total nightmare. Go across the street to Pacific Place instead!) and I was a weepy, adult-baby mess. The staff were kind and supportive and reassured me that I wouldn't die under anesthesia and that it would be fine. I made it all the way to the chair and the doctor came in. He told me I had "just a few little teeth" that would be no problem and suggested I just breathe in the oxygen they were giving me. He found a vein among my tiny web of vessels on his first try, and the next thing I knew I was waking up and being walked into a recovery chair. They did an incredible job! I made it home and had stopped bleeding by the time I got to my couch. I was eating mush by the afternoon, sleeping and icing on and off, and even though all of my teeth were impacted and they removed bone to get each of them out, I never had to take more than an Advil through my entire recovery period. I called them a few times with random questions and they were always more than happy to help me. When I went back a week later to get my post-op exam, I saw a nurse who said my mouth was healing well. She gave me a plastic syringe to rinse out the holes and told me I could eat rice and wings again and everything felt amazing after that. It's now been close to a month and I feel almost like it never happened. I highly recommend getting your stupid wisdom teeth taken out ASAP, and I definitely suggest you do it here if you can. I just left the office couple hours ago after having all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Thomas Maring. The office staff are the nicest people I've ever worked with. Dr Maring is kind, friendly and most of all he knows what he's doing. I was in and out in less than 45 min. No pain at all. I hadn't been to the dentist in a good 18 years and so when I finally went, I learned that I had a few cavities and needed to get my wisdom teeth removed. I walked out of that appointment feeling not too shabby because for that much of a gap between visits, my treatment plan was relatively simple. Anyway, I am one of those people who googles EVERYTHING and so I made myself overly paranoid because I read that after the age of 25, the risks with wisdom teeth extractions increase at a pretty fast rate. I am 30 so I already knew I was potentially at risk and after meeting with Dr. Maring, he confirmed that because my roots did pass very close to the nerves, my risk was about 10-15%. Now, that's not too terrible but no one wants to hear that, especially knowing that when you get this done at a younger age, your risks drop to near zero. Yes, I was totally kicking myself for waiting so long for a good three weeks. After leaving my consult, I was still nervous and didn't feel so confident that I made myself crazy to the point that I was crying in my therapist's office because I was so convinced that I would lose my sense of taste because of how close my teeth were to my nerves. I then called Dr. Maring's office and spoke to his assistant (twice over the course of a week) who then gave me even more statistics and told me the risk for my specific teeth was still VERY low and if it did happen, it would more than likely resolve itself in a few weeks. After that, I felt SO much better and then my only worry became the pain involved for after the extractions. So this brings us to today. I had my appointment at 8am and I walked in so nervous and wound up breaking down in the operating room before Dr. Maring got there. His assistant again reassured and took care of me and as soon as Dr. Maring walked in, we got on with the operation. I was given an IV sedation but found out that they had to lighten the dosage because I would stop breathing through my nose as I was falling asleep so they had to keep reminding me to breathe. Turns out that I might have sleep apnea but that's something for another review later on down the road! Despite being "awake" for the procedure, I was still so out of it that I didn't really notice the time going by. It felt like 10-15 minutes when it was really an hour long process. The only complaint I would say is that I didn't enjoy hearing my teeth being cut and cracked and yanked. It wasn't painful due to the local anesthetic but still very uncomfortable but not at all Dr. Maring's fault. So here we are, 13 hours post op and I surprisingly feel pretty great. No complications aside from the sleep thing and the numbness has fully worn off (aside from the tiniest bit of numbness on my lower lip and even that doesn't feel numb... more like fuzzy). Pain is moderate I would say. Ibuprofen is really helpful but because we are getting into the night, I decided to take the Percocet that was prescribed to me. I don't want to wake up in pain. I'm a little nervous about the possibility of dry sockets but I know what not to do so I am hopeful that I will not have to worry about that. Long story short, while you should get this all done at a young age, Dr. Maring truly is as good as everyone says he is. If you have to get it done, there's no reason to not see him. The whole office is fantastic and they are truly there to take care of you. If I had to do it again (which I thankfully won't because who likes getting this stuff done?!), there would be no hesitation in seeing Dr. Maring. read more

The tooth was removed literally the next morning within minutes of sitting in the chair with very little discomfort (which should be expected in my situation). I had 4 of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Maring. The operation was quick and painless. After the operation (6 hours now), I only experience minimal bleeding and no pain at all!! Scheduling an appointment may be a little difficult though - they are usually fully booked for next 2 weeks (of course, cuz he's such a good dentist), but it's totally worth the wait.
